CBD question

I have a friend who quit her psych meds and is combusting high CBD herbs. The problem is that she told her psychiatrist that she had decided to do this since the meds had negative side effects. Now she's listed as having a substance abuse problem in her medical records. That's going to impact her ability to get work in her field when she's done with school.

I've seen CBD products that can be bought over the internet that have 0 THC. Oils or other things that are not illegal in any state. Are any of those comparable in effect to combusting or vaping?

Unless she's FBI or something of that level, not to worry. :ninja:

Below goes for Doctor's Records as well...

Let's start with the issue of privacy at a doctor's office or clinic, where you'll get your recommendation. "Technically, a doctor's recommendation for medical marijuana is very private, since HIPAA [the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act] makes it nearly impossible for even law enforcement to obtain private patient records," wrote Joe Elford, staff lawyer for medical marijuana group Americans for Safe Access, in an email.

Note: Failing a pre-employment drug test is not covered by HIPAA.

Does she live in a legal state? med or rec? she is smoking cbd meds ? what strain? what's the percentage of thc? *Did they get proof? was there blood test or urine test done? has she taken a home thc test?

She has a legal right to sue her doctor for putting false info in her med records.since it is a cbd strain with low to no thc ? she very well could pass a urine or blood test.with no proof its just her doctors opinion even with proof it's still her doctors opinion find another that doesn't feel the same way and sue the first till its removed.

If she is in a legal state and is a medical card holder getting a lawyer will be easy.

The cbd oil and other stuff the legal everywhere is made from hemp seeds ,stem ,leaves
sadly no just no love when producing or flowers so no taste either and percentage of cbd is very low.
(( you can't vape that shit yukk)

She is in a legal state but given that it's her psychiatrist who gave her that label and her high anxiety she's not likely to contact a lawyer. At least it's good to know that her records are private if she applies for a job or financial aid.

Follow-up question.

Do urine tests show CBD or are they only looking for THC?

If CBD shows up, how can they possibly tell its source?

Only THC same even for blood test CBD is not tested so it would depend on the THC percentage and the amount used rather it or not it would show up .High CBD strains do not get you high so how could she be abusing it? (for the most part this again depends on THC percentage a store in Washington has some with 20% THC and 12% CBD but around here THC is from 2-8% with CBD 6%-18%)

You say she in a legal state? can she buy wax and oils? if so CBD shatter ,wax or oils are the way to go
60%-80% CBD

High CBD strains CAN get you high. Anyway, a patient can claim to be doing something for whatever reason suits him/her... that doesn't mean the claim is actually true, and can at any time be retracted/denied. What would the doctor do then?

Well I asked a Substance Abuse therapist I work with if her label could be erased- mainly because he works in the same organization as the doctor. He said he/they believe that CBD's get people high- pretty much what you said.
Still it's a legal state and she has really never used before. I think it's an extreme label given that. I'm smart enough to lie when asked any question about whether I use marijuana.

I recently received my "green" card and am awaiting my first shipment from the dispensary. I suffer from severe back pain and anxiety....I ordered a 1% THC/14% CBD flower. Since I've really only mainly vaped high THC products, can anyone tell me what I can expect? I appreciate your thoughts/opinions!

You can expect the pain and anxiety to be subdued quite well. Euphoria for you from the thc should be pretty unnoticeable.

I take 2 Stratos 15:1 tabs in the morning. 0.66mg thc, 10mg cbd is my dose, and I don't feel the thc at all.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear. Thank you! Although I do enjoy the euphoria that high THC levels offer, I am looking for an alternative to narcotics that will provide a good level of pain relief while allowing me to stay 'sharp'. The euphoric trips will mainly be reserved for evenings.

Do you find you suffer any type of side effects from ingesting in pill form? Also, how long do they keep you medicated for?
Thanks again!

I have only been taking them a couple of weeks now and don't see any side effects, not even red eyes or drowsy at this dose. I should mention I use high thc concentrates and flower in the evening so my tollerance is moderate.

The pills work like edibles. 30 min onset, 4-6 hour relief. I am completely functional on the Stratos pills.

That's excellent! I'm glad to hear they're working so well for you. I'm very new to the MMJ world but it's my hopes it'll help me get away from the heavy narcotics, which I know are destroying my vital organs. I really enjoy concentrates and they work fantastic with my FF2. they're just a little tricky to get through the dispensaries....not many (if any) carry them around here.
