Ohhh no, ordered a Ti burly thursday, and the money was deposited back into my account this morning... Sent George an email, really hoping it was a mistake of some kind and I didn't miss out on a burly :uhoh: edit: got an email from george, everything looks to be ok, but most importantly there is a burly set aside for me. That's a pretty big relief as this batch of burlys is what really sold me on a Ti over the OG.

The UD is the closest I have come to the feeling of ripping an Aussie cone but the OG is such value for money & works so fucking well. I need to revisit water with my OG but it works so well as it is....

Exactly! I'm still that impressed! All my friends mix cannabis with cigarette and smoke it though a bong. Usually 1ciggy to 1gram.... I have showed them many sorts of different vapes, usually trying to use the bong because that's what they are all into. One friend bought a vapman, but still combust. Few weeks ago showed them all the VC, were all suitably impressed but not much in the world could stop them from combusting weed/baccy.... Talking about people that would not even smoke MJ alone through a bong, because apparently it's not smooth enough without the ciggy.... Anyways long story short, out of the blue three of my mates have ordered an OG vapcap each today, with the intention to stop combusting altogether, or at least stop consuming cigarette with MJ, because it seems for those who combust baccy/weed mix from what I have seen; it is actually more tolerable to vaporiser MJ than it is to combust the same MJ but without the tabacoo.

Why spoil the taste of some excellent green mixing it with tobacco? Each to their own and all, the glass jars, cabinets and the smell of the proper pipe shop was unreal when I was younger.
The number of times I heard this same thing and never got it.

In Amsterdam when White Widow first appeared it was something else. Smooth as. Showing my age a bit there lol
The OG, the Ti Glassy and all the stems I have put together and used have given smooth vapor. Smoother than my cheap Xmax and my expensive 05. I can't say that about my newest stem/pipe thingy it's the first time I've coughed since January and funnily enough the first time I've sneezed.

The guy I got one for wants to stop baccy and was content to use the Xmax I no longer used.
'That's the one' were his words. The same phrase was used by three others after they've run a bowl with my VC. They went on to buy Glassy's.

I fell in love with Ed's new wood. I wasn't interested in a burly until I saw the colors he posted recently. So I changed my blackwood to a burly. Now that all the 420's are sent I'm hoping that the wood products will be on their way soon. I have the burly ti and a vong stem coming. Meanwhile I'm dynavapless since my og broke.

My original Ti Burly stem cracked a while back and when I got my Blackwood shorty I was able to get another Burly stem to replace it. I've been rocking both the long and short stems with mouthpiece for several weeks and loving them.

I revisited my cracked burly stem last night and used Goerges recommended method of dremel and diamond wheel, I was able to trim the cracked stem down to a shorty.

Check. It. Out. Ti Burly Shorty:cool::brow:

The trimmed part puts the carb hole about a half inch from the end which is not ideal for Oring placement, but gets enough of two orings down in there to hold it.

I'm sitting on the deck hitting it while typing this, so it works. Like a champ!!

The wood is beautiful. Worth waiting for. I may never get my March order from George because I keep changing it.
How did you crack yours? I'd like to avoid that if I can.

I'm on a roll today. My original OG outer glass cracked and was replaced a long while back. So I took that old cracked outer glass and I was able to cut down the OG glass to shorty size.

I give you Ti glassy shorty :cool::brow:

I really like this one as well. This OG glass has two carb holes so it changes it up a little.

I think I need more TI tips now....:shrug:

Went on a mountain hike this morning with my glass OG and had a great time with it.easy to load and easy to get nice soothing medication at those rest stops along the way.

When I got Home.i decided to make make a SS lined woody section.Its Hawaiian kamani wood.

I kept it short so it fits in the OG vapcap case with a 510 drip tip.

Thanks...Its not perfect by any means.....I had some SS tube lying around and got sucked in.had to give it a go.The SS liner goes from 10mm to 8mm internal and then back out to 10mm for the drip tip.i had to add some hemp wick to keep the TI tip snug in the tip crown but it's complete and works.

I would love a bigger ID TI tip and cap so the TI tip shank matched a 510 drip tip.i would just add bigger orings to the condenser.I also opted to drill out the drip tip to accomodate the condenser tube.i didn't want to cut it.

My woody works but is a sick puppy.its just not producing the same magic as the glass OG right now.I may look into cutting deeper channels in the TI tip and maybe castle the tip to allow better airflow.....Only issue is working TI.I have no idea if diamond files will even mark or cut TI
Diamond tools worked really well with my glass OG,so I'm back to the OG glass for now until I figure out how to work with TI.

Oh.I meant to leave this pic here.I modded my OG glass a few weeks ago but never posted a pic.

Stepped the glass bowl PV style and reduced the outside diameter of the bowl to allow looser cap and better airflow in.My glass OG was an early beta and I couldn't get enough air into the vape through the tip for my liking.I think Vapcap has tightened up tolerances in his components since then.

I removed the Ceramic screen altogether too and opted for medium SS mesh instead.

its a freight train now.two hits every heat.im not sure how that compares to others but more air through the tip cools things down but I still get enough heat for a nice 8 second rip and a second shorter hit.then it's time to reheat.Have a good week.

Mentioned a little back how I wished you all could see what I see when working in the shop, I picked up this piece of Cocobolo, knew from the outside it had a burl spot, figured it would turn out and was hoping it would cooperate with me.

Ohhh its so much fun to see a piece like this after you turn off the edges, the colors start to show themselves and I get all excited inside but then I think ohhh sure hope it doesnt crack on me, most of the time they dont but just as beautiful they are sometimes they go to crap real quick even at the last second. This is what it turned out to be

So some lucky person will get this Cocobolo Woodie VC body very soon! Sure hate they dont all look like this, but hey thats just how it turns out in the end!

Looking at it again, it reminds me of a cross between Vapcap and Nimbinvap. I'd name it the Vapcap ChubVap, Chubs for short.

damn all these pics are making my mouth water! cannot wait to get my ti blackwood!

Im thinking I may have to have ed make some custom stems for me so I can switch it around some!

Wood is just suh an elegant and time tested material. The natural look is definitely my favorite. Not to say I dont like my battery operated vapes, but something about wood just makes it seem more classy

Fourth heat cycle: If I run a 4th cycle it is usually a single draw of vapour but it is a fine line so the load is usually pretty spent after 3 cycles.

Tried it through water but I was not a huge fan but will try again later. What is surprising is how cool the vapour is for such a small vapour path. @phattpiggie that is a sweet looking stem you made & just makes me lust after my incoming Ti burly.

What clicked for you after the 15 tries?

I'm still not having any luck. Hand torn flower, evenly heating the cap just until the click. Zero vapor.

When you finally got it to work, what specifically did you change in your technique?

Are there any good videos that show in detail how to work the og?

Edit: I'm getting no vapor but the flower comes out almost burnt. Very dark brown, almost black, but no ash.

I had lackluster results the first couple times. I managed to get it working well by using a single jet torch, using the soft and faint tip of the flame instead of the brighter inner flame, and aiming about halfway down the cap. I also spin the whole thing while I heat it. I hold it tip side up and spin it with my thumb and first two fingers while hitting it with heat. Not sure what your current method is, but those are all worth trying.

@waxdab23 I pretty much did exactly what @DocGonzo suggested & blocked the carb with a silicone ring. I have also been using a single torch to get a gauge on how the cap cycles & use a medium fine grind & lightly tamp the bowl. Pretty sure you will "get it" soon. I don't know anyone defeated by the VapCap.

@little maggie have you received your burly already & it is cracked or are you looking to minimize the chance of that happening? I sent a request asking for mine to have crowns put on it by George.

@little maggie my original burly cracked on the opposite end of the crown and heat. No other reason I could see other than it just cracked on the grain. Most likely a flaw in the wood before it was even turned. Outward pressure from the orings caused stress that eventually opened the crack and the oring wouldn't hold tight any longer. My replacement burly is working like a champ. So I wouldn't worry about your burly.

I had the same problem. The biggest thing that helped me was getting the $1 fat plastic mouthpiece and using it as a gong (pong?) in my bubbler. I needed to use a 14mm to 18mm adapter, but then I could see the vapor being produced. This created massive cool hits and made all the difference for me.

I also practiced finding the sweet spot to heat the cap while swirling.

Don't know if anyone else could possibly be as stupid as I was when I used a huge (too big for dabbing arguably) butane torch to flame clean my OG. I should have taken the disc out to flame it.

I actually got my VC so hot I melted and visibly deformed the glass (It was red hot). I now have to remove my ceramic disc and the metal rings that hold it from the mouthpiece end but it still works the same!
