This is very similar to my experience. Long, slow draws get the most out of Milaana for me. I find that I definitely need to rotate between hits. Recently I have been stirring less because I don't find I get as much out of it after I stir. I'm hoping to get my technique down to avoid stirring.

While there is a learning curve with the Milaana, I don't find it to be very steep. Actually, two days in and I am able to get more even coloured extraction from my Mi than I get from my Herbalizer. In fact, my herbie has been packed up and will be loaned to my brother.

Yeah over in the Zion thread many of us resolved to not stirring anymore. There is a slight color gradient where it's darker on the exposed side of the load and a tad lighter on the hidden side, but everytime I tried either to stir or to finish the load at high temperature in a regulated conduction vape, I only got one or two meager and unsatisfying extra hits.

So far my conclusion is that it's not worth the effort. Plus I'm always completely baked after a Zion bowl, whatever its size, I never feel the need for more.

But some users enjoy to stir, for the ritual and also because they don't like to waste. If you stir it's best to re-tamp the load so it's not too fluffy. You really need that partial local vaccuum to extract well.

Question for the group:

Is the trigger on the Milaana a "regular" on/off switch, or is it a (highly dampened) pressure sensitive (spring-loaded?) variable resistor? I swear my brain is playing tricks on me...My experience with a fresh battery has me wondering - push trigger hard and hold for 3 seconds results in fast in-rush current and aggressive heating. Feather the trigger on a new battery and it is gentle heating all day long... variable resistor would make sense base upon my tactile experience - could it just be a combination of heat soaking, flowers drying, battery dying, and my head climbing higher?

Regardless, RBT and Crew are fully deserving of the many good things which are undoubtedly headed their way!

There is magic in this wood!

Cheers to @Bravesst for the first PlanetVape.ca review!

You should consider sendi
My only upgrade could be the delivery of Mia #2 for total security and zero chance of down time. The potential is endless, and we've only just begun to play.

Side note: efficiency rating 10
I'm wrecked on nothing.

It's worth mentioning here that i
have over a year of daily use on a Zion with zero issues, which is the same heater tech, only with the Milaana there's even less that can break. Fit and finish will improve with time, the tech however is rock solid.

My review on planetvape
*By far, the most superior Vape experience of all time. Ease of use, taste, efficiency, and effect are top notch. A must have in 2016*

Nice!!!

I agree with your review, until you try the Zion!
Zion is easier, and sooo much more consistent.
The only time I grab my Mi is on the go, and with my case to hold all parts for Mi, it ends up being about the same size as a Zion with all its parts stowed away inside, in their designated spots.

Zion takes the thinking part out of the equation, which for me helps out once my face starts to melt off my head after a couple stems.

@Bravesst are you (still) preordered for the Zion?
If I recall you once were.
After reading some of your posts here, and in other threads, I really think you will enjoy the more consistent regulated Zion experience.

Ok, back to my beloved Milaana!
I'm getting excellent results with Vape Docs no stir method, Shitsnacks continue to hit after releasing the button advice, all while loading nugs like Stickstones has suggested here and in other threads.
I love this fucking
community!!!

Thank you!
When i finally get the unit, i'm gonna try using it with a vapexhale mesh herb basket. I'm thinking it should fit and keep it a little cleaner.
I was thinking of using basket screens like in a DDave mod but I figured since the joint needs to be US, meaning if it is too long it can hurt the unit. So if you have the lip of the basket screen above the glass when you insert it, vape xhale Elbs would be the same just deeper I am thinking. Just be careful, don't want to damage the unit. I am pretty sure if you could do basket screens this vape would be even better! No stirring with my DDave mod on SSV so I don't see why it wouldn't work on here. Does anyone have a good idea of how we may use basket screens or ELBs with the Mi?

Why not just use the provided screens as a basket? Flip em over and slide the basket to the brim, just as you would the ddave or elb, just without a ring on the outside of the m2m, it's inside it.

Screens are the one struggle I have with Bam Bam and Venus. They work OK for me in RBT's stems, but in all my adapters and other stems/mouthpieces I have had difficulty finding screens that seat well without moving. It's manageable, but not simple. For me.

Yep..... working great for me!

If screens are sliding too much, just flex the sides out. Best way I've found to do this is to get a dowel (or whatever cylinder) that is about the size of the face of the screen (flat part, bottom of "bucket). Push the dowel into it as straight and far as you can. Go at least 2/3 to 3/4 into it. If it flares out too much, before you pull it off the dowel give it a few squeezes with flat faced pliers (no grippy teeth!), or crank a hose clamp down on it. Wiggle screen off and you're good to go!

When I reshape my nano screens, I put the screen with dowel in it on a piece of board and tap other end with a hammer. Works great! If a little too stretched, just push together a bit or use pliers/clamp. But, never a problem going basket style even if it may take a little force to push it into the glass. I use a small pencil for this part. If it is really tough to push it in, just a little spit along the crown will usually be enough for it to slide right in.

The bitch for me is that I haven't found anything perfectly sized for RBT screens. nano screens, and my dowel, are smaller diameter. Have a little screwdriver with handle that is just a little too big. Did a quick stretch on RBT screen with it by only going about 1/3 in. A little wider stretch than I like, but all good because going basket style in Mi. Now it's nice and tight.

Really should try to find metal dowels that are the right size for each, but wood works fine - even with the hammer at least 10 or so times. I bought the dowel I have now for cheap in 3 foot length, so plenty to lop a new piece off of whenever I want.

Other methods should work well, too. The trick just seems to be that you only want to stretch it out a little, do it all the way around pretty evenly - and at the same time if you can. Bending out a little at a time with needle nose pliers or something is a real pain in the ass, and IME leads to disappointing results.

If the vxe baskets work, I would be able to vape on the go easier.
Load a few baskets and few charged batts to be ready for switching on the go vs loading and dumping avb etc.

I thought of this as well. Just wasn't too sure because I really haven't seen them up close. I know that with your Lsv you know what I mean with the basket style bowl. Prepacked ELBs could be cool. But I guess if you can just make a basket that's even a little better cuz you can move it whenever you please. Which I'm sure helps with dialing in the kind of hit you want. What kind of M2M do you have @AJS ?? Like what supplier. It seems like yours works well and I would like to grab an extra just to make sure it's a US joint and everything.

The rim is a no-go on the RBT heater.

Edit:
My m2m is straight from China and was randomly chosen with my piece. I got very lucky, and idk where to actually buy them from.

It'll be 22mm long. It'll look squarish whereas the ISO look more rectangular. If you can't eye it, just hold it up next to ur stem that RBT provided and the male ends will be the exact same length.

It's hit and miss with the "free" Chinese m>m's. 3 of 5 I had laying around seem OK. Using the best of them now and works great, when I'm not spallating silicone using the @Vape Dr. flip over tip.

Probably a stupid question but what are the m2m's for? I use a f2f adaptor for my bubbler and Aiden. Seems to work ok. I suppose that if my bubbler had a female attachment I would use a m2f instead.

Yeah not a good idea, the metal rim over hang can put strain on the heater screen and can void your warranty, you want glass to glass with no metal sticking out of the glass. It wont be a good fit with those screens and they have been denounced officially from Zion. I find the RBT screens better than EQ baskets (too shallow, stirring a bitch, and too fine of a mesh) even better than ELBs too despite their cap imo. I've always found the RBT screens too tight vs too loose in the stock stems if anything...

Lana is going to the beach again today, work on her tan, sand surf and stems
