Looking for a fast butane vaporizer

Now that I've gotten my electronic/battery operated vapes consolidated, I'm in the market for something that uses a lighter. The most important factors for me are durability, speed (of heat up) and simplicity. Stealth properties are not priority for me.. I pretty much want something that can mimic old-fashioned combustion in terms of speed and something that doesn't use batteries. So far I've done a few searches and the ones that pop up the most are Vapman, Lotus and Hammer Pro. Having excellent customer service and warranties are also a huge bonus. Any input on these vapes or this subject matter is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

... between the vapman and lotus i prefer the lotus...

i have never tried the hammer...

the supreme vape would be the next butane vape i look into (the reviews/testimonials are un-freaking believable!) - it looks kinda meh though


... i got my lotus about two weeks ago and have more-or-less used it exclusively!

IMO the best butane vapes are (no particular order): Daisy, Lily, Supreme 3, VapCap

For the record, I've never tried a Lotus, Vapman or VaporGenie, but the ones I mentioned are certainly worth adding to your research list.

Vapman. used to have a lotus years ago and sold it after a few weeks, it was pretty cool but the daisy was better than it, and i sent back the daisy on the 30 day period cause I didn't like it enough, but the vapman I like so much it was able to impress all my friends as a session vape as well as a personal vape. Highly recommended personally.



Edit: I also have and rec the iolite ( I got mine in 2009? 2010? barely remember ) but that is anything BUT fast... ) and the other major benefit of the vapman to the lotus in my opinion is you can heat and draw separately whereas wit the lotus and others you have no choice but to light while inhaling. While that's not a problem for normal use it matters when you need to be discreet outside, in public or whatever.

Seconded. Daisy and lily heat up as soon as the torch is on. Vapcap takes a couple seconds to heat and usually needs a couple rounds of heating. Love the taste in all three but I'd order my favorites Daisy, Lily, Vapcap.

Full disclosure I haven't tried the lotus, vapman, or surpeme. I hear great things about all of them though.

Thanks for all the input so far. Having the lighter while inhaling is not a big deal for me. This is really something I can just smoke out in the porch with my girlfriend. Admittedly, we're both keen on combusting and I figure this is another extra tool to minimize that... so anything that operates like a glass pipe isn't a bad thing to us. Looks like some of you added more on my list of vapes to research. I'll prob pass on looking deeper into the Hammer Pro mainly because the heating source is built in. I read that's the weak point of the vape because it can break. I'd rather have a lighter that I can replace and one of the big reasons for me going with butane is so I can always just grab something in a pinch and not worry about bringing my own energy source or charging it.

Just to add to confusion, did think about the NimbinVap?

It is not very popular here but it's a very nice looking, fast, and heavy hitter vape! Peoples complain about the taste...imho it tastes very good (similar to my E-Nano for example) but you need a small torch lighter to get the hang of it!

The lotus is the closest experience to smoking a j/lighting a bowl you'll get, but the vapman is so much fun you won't miss it, you still get to play with a torch lighter :)

That is a pretty cool design. You've definitely added more to the confusion, haha.. Just to further the confusion.. .their site seriously needs a re-work. Kinda hard to find out much info, pricing, etc on their site alone with all that background

The Vapman had my attention since way back when Magic Flight used to sell/warranty them. Right now out of all the ones mentioned, it's in my top 3 choices. Durability, clean up, usage very simple?

What clean up? :)
Durability is top notch and usage is very simple IMO, you get the feel of how long it takes to torch it very quickly
just a light piece of wood with a bit of metal so even if you accidentally send it flying (I have many times) no harm done.

Vaporgenie is the fastest of my butane vapes, I have coil, classic, vapcap, hammer and vapman. Hammer is not that fast but it's heavy, vapman is fast but doesn't hit as hard so sessions may be longer. Vaporgenie is under rated especially for the price, just be prepared to stir which is something I don't do.
I think a lot of my vapes could Benefit from a stir, but the Vaporgenie is the only one where I do it. Can't find my coil and gave my pipe away:( might order another actually, it's surprising how big of a hit you can pull out of those things..... Get a VG aluminium and clean up would be a breeze!

Vaporgenie was actually the first vape I ever used. Funny how back then I really didn't even see it as an option because it required a lighter. When my friend brought it over, I didn't quite understand vaping at the time and just figured I saw no benefit of that vs just using my steamroller or pipe. Now that I've gone through so many battery/electronically operated vapes, I want to find something familiar with lighting up a pipe. The Vaporgenie seems like the closest to that so far and it's also one of the most affordable ones to boot.

And a very heavy hitter! Very! Just be aware that if you load it reasonably well, in my experience it does vape unevenly and a stir is highly reccomended. Check the VG thread, donated my classic before really falling in love with it, loved the coil and its versatility... Now it seems I have lost it:(

I might have to take the Vaporgenie back into consideration because it seems like I can find it around for $50. Since this will be a secondary or tertiary vape, the price is attractive. I notice they've since come out with an aluminum bodied one.

How is the durability of these, especially with internals? Is there a lot to clean or parts to replace inside?

The top part that screws on is what makes it a vaporiser, the bottom is just like any other pipe, being as durable and easy to clean as one of them.... Although obviously less often due to Vapor vs smoke. Top part, I wouldn't wet, you can just torch clean every so often if the has gotten dirty from using soft flame.
Vaporgenie is probably the most durable vaporiser I can think of, internals there is nothing really to speak of. Short of breaking the wood body (could easily fix that, or reuse the top/bowl) I think you'd probably literally have to run a Vaporgenie over to put it out of action.

Thanks for the input. I'll most likely get one just because they're so cheap and resemble traditional smoking the most. Also as you say, very durable. As mentioned, this is a secondary/tertiary vape that I'll just be leaving over at my girlfriend's house so I don't want to plunk too much coin on it.

I like the VG as well. Its about as basic as a vape can be and still delivers a nice hit on demand. I use a regular pipe lighter rather than a torch. Some people prefer not to use butane, though.

I'll most likely use a regular lighter too because that's exactly what my girlfriend is used to.
