I decided to upgrade from my Solo to an EVO, for home use. It should be here on Friday. I cant wait :p
You are in for a real treat my friend, coming from the Solo.

EVO+Hydratube >Solo+Pinnacle water tool

Apples and oranges I know.

Don't get me wrong, Solo I use in a reg rotation. There is no arguing the effectiveness of that particular model.....but as far as desktops go, EVO is a straight drop kick to the head. Effective. Just be ready my friend.

:peace:

You're in for quite a treat. I recently upgraded to and Evo from an Air. All I can say is buckle up for the ride that the evo is going to take you on. I stil love my Air but the Evo is on a whole different level. It would usually take about 8-10 minutes for me to fully extract on my air....translates to about 15 good rips. With the evo, 3-4 rips and it's fully extracted. So you can imagine how much more efficient it is for medicating. Anyways, I'm excited for you. I'm in love with my Evo and have no doubt that you will be blown away. Enjoy my friend.

Oh, and as to the effects. Well my first night having it I awoke from a long slumber with an empty bag of white cheddar popcorn (the one that vxl includes with the evo...which really came in handy lol) on my chest and pieces of popcorn all over the couch. It's been a good decade since I got that properly medicated off flowers.

Coming from a portable I'm sure the EVO is blowing your socks off. A portable and a desk top is apples and oranges. Especially upgrading to the EVO.

The concentrate feature on the EVO makes this unit like 2 units in one. It's an expensive investment and well worth it if I can manage to not let it slip off my table. I will be working on a fix. The cord isn't long enough for my liking and is heavy whereas the EVO is fairly light weight it wants to slide. A little weight in the base couldn't hurt but then it might be too heavy for inverting.

I vape the solo with my new FC mouthpiece and it is quite enjoyable. Then I walk downstairs and plug in the evo and either connect it to the FC mod, the FC UFO, or the d020. Blastoff time, the evo just belches vapor on a level the solo cannot approach

Hey guys, I feel like my new EVO is getting hotter. So for example I have been combusting at 2 o'clock sometimes and I've been starting my sessions at 10 o'clock, but it's milking like I am at 1-2. For the folks where their EVO started overheating, did it start off seeming like the EVO was getting hotter than normal before it overheated completely? This is a bummer :(
Not for me, the overheat just happens randomly, not gradually.
I think, the EVO regulates its temp relative to ambient temperature, so if a hot summer began in your area, it's possible your EVO will be getting hotter.
Or switching a strain from a weak and fresh to strong and dry can feel like the vape is hotter, dry grounds buds make powerful and somewhat harsh vapors even at low temps.
Damaged bamboo can also make it hotter.

Hmm I do notice sometimes I go from say 10:30 to 11:30 and my EVO just stays green. It doesn't sound exactly the same but I would think the temps would be a little more sensitive than that. Thanks for the response, I'll watch for this stuff. Right now it works fine at 10:30 but after 4 combustion's I am cautious to turn it up past 1.
That can happen, changing the dial only one hour can be too little to make it red. That's doesn't mean the temp control is not sensitive and you haven't changed the temp. It's just the color output of the LED has quite broad range where it shows green. Even if it didn't change color, it will change the temperature as you demanded. But a stuck green LED and no heat is a possibility that was happening to my old unit (the one that was prone to overheats). I don't know if these two glitches (stuck green with no heat, and overheat) are related or not, but my old unit had both of them.

Weird thing just happened with the evo. I turn it on and load up an elb. Go in the other room to do some stuff while letting it heat up for about 10 minutes. Come back and LED is green. Unit feels warm so I insert elb and go to hit it. Didn't feel much warmth at all and didn't exhale any vapor. Well I try again and my hit seems less warm and still no vapor...now I know something is up. So I turn the dial from 12 to 2, and no red LED.....just stays green. It did not appear to be heating up. The LED just stayed green no matter how high I turned the dial.

Anyways I turned it off and unplugged the power cord and let it sit for a few minutes. Plugged it back in and just had a good session so it appears to be working ok now. But I found this very strange....LED was green but it was like it had stopped heating up and would not start back on. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be concerned?
Yes, this sounds exacly like the glitch I've explained. I thought these were solved long ago together with overheats,

Bros! I think I already mentioned this somewhere. never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever pinch your Elbs just don't do it k. they will warp a little if you use very hot water to clean them or arrive partially twisted in the past.

solution : take your hydrafoot or any adapter with a male 18mm and well make it a female. fuck that hole with your Elb and fuck it good. little rotation action you get the picture. should take seconds and you'll be in perfect shape as it will slot into your evo mmmmmmlikeaglove!!
I don't think everyone can do this. Actually I think you're very lucky to have a hydrafoot with the exact same hole as the EVO.I have one hydrafoot that is solid without any hole for an elb. And a econd one with a hole, but not fitting ELBs. And all of the other male joints I have also don't fit ELBs. So, thanks for the tip, but it will probably only work for you and very little for others. Also rotating the ELB is the joint is probably stressful fot it and could break the weld.

Man I hope this doesn't lead to an overheat. I've been out of town for work this week so I haven't got to use the evo since the weekend. I did 3 more sessions after experiencing the glitch and the unit worked fine. I will get back this weekend and plan on using the evo as my primary vape so hopefully no overheats. I wonder if I should go ahead and email vxl and report the glitch. I feel the overheating issue is bad enough that they would want to avoid anyone experiencing it. Might just get their thoughts before moving forward.

I took a month long t break before receiving my mighty and evo. Originally I had an Air. I used the Air one day before the two new vapes arrived. I received the evo first and got baked like I haven't been since I can remember. Then the PO guy shows up with the mighty... I could barely speak when he showed up.

the first two rips from an elb at around 2pm will get you probably to the most medicated that youve ever been from your solo. After that is when it gets intense.

The solo still gets used. I like it on the couch and have a more formal evo area in the basement. Try the solo with the FC mouthpiece on level 7. Hits pretty damn hard

@CarolKing I tried so many DESK TOPS however the EVO taste amazing to me?
GDP medium ground level 1:00AM with my custom made in CALIFORNIA HYDRO-TUBE!

EVO is perfect night caper for me!
Once after dinner then before sleep = 2 times.
I have a pile of pharaphilla that contained a BASKET!
After a session I stir with a wire without strains.
No squeezing and they seem to work for now.
I make some anyway.

So I went ahead and emailed vxl support detailing the glitch I experienced. They replied back this afternoon and told me that it was probably a hiccup in the firmware and it self corrected since I had 3 successful sessions after experiencing the glitch. They did say that if it happens again to contact immediately and not use again until they can look at it. Can't wait to get home and get into some serious evo sessions. Hoping the glitch was a one time thing...knock on wood.

I've had my EVO for 3 weeks now. I still remember my first time - 3 ELBs and a lot of satisfaction.
Lots of people talk about VAS but there's no wanderlust here! I've got my Evo and my portable, I'm set.

I took the vapman to the zoo yesterday. I got high as shit with some gorillas, the whole thing was bananas.

@KennyPowers I had a ELB with a piece from a COLA of GDP before nap.

I think it made me 30 year's younger?

The FLAVOR is very outstanding.
EFFECT = COMA (SELF-INDUCED)

@tonuzzi I use a Nail Tool on my BASKETS now.
