The quality is so good though man. Will be hard for anyone to beat this vapor quality in a portable anytime soon.

It's not my perfect all-in-one, but I'll continue using it regularly.

Concentrates are unreal in this thing too. To be honest with you, if this was sold as a concentrate only vape, I think I'd still buy it. Very hard to get a smooth concentrate rip without an oil rig or WPA. FF2 gets very close.

I hear you but the Hercules could knock your socks off.

I go where the thrills are
I have two lids, one blue and one black. Both have a teeny gap around the gasket. Both work fine. There's a slight tolerance in the seal due to the overlap of the edge of the lid as it fits on the main body.

The magnets aren't as strong as FF1 but don't really need to be. I can't think of what is causing some of these issues...maybe the magnets aren't strong enough, or something is obstructing the seal. But the 2 is, IME, much less fussy about lid placement than the 1 was...it has to be on correctly but usually doesn't need to be perfectly free of debris in order to make a proper seal.

It keeps scaring me. I do a 15-20 second rip and I see this monstrous concentrate cloud thinking I'm going to cough my ass off and it's just tasty and smooth. Wax, live resin, rosin, bubble hash have all been

Just tried some shatter about 5 mins ago and it was aaaaamazing.

You're killing me here.

I need mine to ship now.

Welcom @TheHoF! Loved you on Baywatch!!!;):clap:

Sorry, can't help with your question. Just wanted to welcome you...

Well thanks for the welcome anyway! (And funny aside, I've actually never so much as seen an episode of Baywatch. Never really thought of the connotations when I started using this screen name, but I like it too well/been using it too long to change)

Curiously, any 4/20 orderers receive theirs yet??

I placed my order on 4/16 and haven't heard anything yet. Can't wait to hear when the "second flight" starts getting shipping notices.

Does pressing on the lid near the bowl affect airflow or vapor production on yours?

Still enjoying the FF2 guys, no probs with performance. Love starting out on just 340 degrees and then gradually "climbing the ladder". Smooth as silk that way.

Not sure what to think about all this gasket talk. I'm thinking probably just a matter of seating the lid correctly, which I always make sure I do. Only tiny gripe I have is the battery meter on app and the blue light feedback on the actual unit is, as everyone knows, not accurate. Has anyone heard if they are working on a fix for this?

Hola back, Firefly fam.

It's so damn good. I find myself wanting to vape another bowl just because I want to use it again.

I would assume they are aware of the battery issue and working on some kind of firmware update.

Well this is new:

Pre-order now and you get the FF2 in June.

Does this mean the May shipment is coming out very soon and the June shipment goes out after those deliver, or have all of their deliveries been pushed back? :hmm:

I think by pushing down on the lid the space between the bowl and lid gets lessened and results in a lesser amount of airflow. I don't think it necessarily means the magnet/padding is bad if you find better airflow when pressing it.

I really hope it means the first scenario! I just checked my email for potential indication one way or the other -no word.

I see you own an E-Nano, and are expecting a Firefly 2? I would be interested in hearing your thoughts in comparing the 2 when your fly arrives -I've been thinking about the Nano for home use to supplement my upcoming fly. (The VAS sets in...)

Hey guys,
I'm here to tell you about my evening. Anybody who has been here in the last 24 hours has seen what I'm going to refer to as "Gasketgate." I'd like to take this time to say that I might have been wrong.

I only say that I might have been wrong because I need to further test my unit. At the very least, I have decided not to complain to Firefly for the day. At best, I might've found a solution for people having issues with their FF2.

Here's the disclaimer;
I only did this with one bowl. I changed multiple things, so I'm not entirely sure which one worked. It could've been a fluke. I've noticed that the bud I used for this bowl produces more vapor than the "typical" bud I use. It's super sticky and I noticed huge(er) clouds from my Crafty before using it in my FF2.

The first thing I want to mention (and could explain a sealing problem) is that I noticed a residue left behind from my 91% isopropyl. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but it was kinda sticky so I licked my finger (some people may have a better technique) and wiped all the residue from the edge of the unit (where the lid/gasket make contact with the main unit)

The second thing I changed was my draw speed. I start very slow and gradually increase my draw over the course of 10-20 seconds, ultimately reaching what I would describe as a "medium/hard" draw. If this does prove to be the reason for your problems, I would just recommend practicing and figuring out what gets the best results, but I think I'm gonna continue to use this draw technique.

Who knows? I might've unknowingly changed something else, but I can't remember (I almost forgot that I had wiped the edge with my finger.)

The important thing is that I was getting pretty good production without holding the lid down. I even had a couple hits that induced a bit of coughing.

With all these variables (suction/bud/draw) I'm still not convinced that this will work for everybody, but I believe that it could. I'm probably not going to be able to try it again until this evening, but I will definitely be experimenting more tonight.

Sorry for the long post, guys, but I feel like this was made into a big deal yesterday. I'm not saying my lid is good yet, but I feel better about it than I did 24 hours ago, so we're making progress!

You people having this lid issue, may I suggest trying to make a bowl with pad on top of the herb to analyze the outcome?

Great to hear man! Sounds like you got it working.

I think the draw speed might be throwing some people off a bit and also just making sure its seated properly. Might need more testing but good to hear its working for you.

Tested mine again last night and it just taste so damn good, I'm super impressed. And I get PFT off one bowl pretty easy which is nice considering its not a huge bowl.

That's one thing I'd like to mention as well. I don't know what it was, but I got RFT (R stands for Really)

Like I said before, I'm not admitting I was wrong yet, but it's looking like I was wrong....:\

....maybe.

I still want to try another lid and compare. FF got back to me and offered to send a shipping label if I want them to test it. The thing is, I don't mind using the "pinch technique," but I feel like I'm always going to do it because it always makes my vapor stronger. And I feel like that shouldn't be necessary.

I'm still interested in trying another lid, but that could be because I'm not 100% convinced that I've fixed my problem. You really shouldn't have to pinch the lid. If it's so finicky, I think that Firefly should make a tutorial video. I'm not sure that would help everybody, but I'm sure it would help some people.

I think we'll still get them in May. They probably have a decently accurate number of units coming in from production to ship for May, and once the preorder numbers exceed that they obviously have to start saying June.

One caveat though: it says DELIVERY in June. So for me the email said: "Your pre-order is being processed and will ship in May 2016." Technically it can ship at the very end of May and be delivered in June.

It said "Delivery in Late-May" yesterday. I still had the website open from yesterday, but it updated so I don't have it anymore. That's a good catch on the email though.

I have both now.

Well my usage varies... I'm generally a light one hit at a time guy. The nano does it all. You can have a low temp and sip it slow or a high temp and have a load in a single hit.

Both the enano and ff2 are vapes that benifit from stirring.

With the ff2 I tend to empty the herb out before it reaches coffee brown/black. So I kind of go through herb faster. I have not really found a small load full extraction method that I like on the ff2. So instead I usually pack a bowl in the morning and take sips during the day on low-medium, then in the early evening I switch to high or concentrate temps. Then lastly I do a fresh bowl on the high or concentrate setting before bed.

I'm running low on my supply so I'll probably be running through my abv on concentrate mode with the pad on top once I run out.

The nano and ff2 seem pretty similar to me... The nano obviously has more power. The ff2 definitely makes for a great on the go alternative.

I have the arizer air too, which is great too but not so good for my random single hits throughout the day.

The nano, ff2, and aa are all great vapes.

This is how I tested airflow on my unit:

1. Clean your FF2 100% and put the lid on leaving the chamber empty
2. Inale through the device (without activating it) for 10-15 seconds. You should experience consistent draw resistance throughout the draw.
3. Take the lid off and reset the lid.
4. Repeat steps 2 & 3, 5-10x

You should be able to get consistent draw resistance through all of your tests. I can get consistent resistance with my new lid. My old lid required me to set the lid absolutely perfect or pinch between the top and bottom to get the same consistency mentioned above.

Not to say that the FF2 can't work at all with inconsistent airflow. It can. I just don't think it worked as well as it does now. I was having a lot of trouble vaping all of the green out of my herb before I got the new lid. If you are finishing bowls and your material looks good, you're probably fine.

So I've got a few questions about the charging of the FF2, I think #1 has been answered but I just want to clarify.

1. So the FF1 external charger works with FF2 battery ONLY IF you have the special adapter that comes with the FF1, which you wouldn't have if you only order a FF2 + FF1 external charger. Is this correct?

2. Is charging using the FF1 charger faster than using the FF2 cradle by default, is the FF1 charger still faster than the cradle if you have a 2.0 amp usb charging adapter that you use with the cradle?

I unfortunately cannot answer your question, but I do have both chargers. I would say that they're comparable in charging speed, but I haven't timed either. I tend to use the external charger more than the cradle though. I just like it. The external charger and the adapter are sold separately, but there might be somewhere that's selling a comparable adapter. I don't know if there's anything that makes the Firefly adapter "special." I really wish that it used a USB adapter, but that's not a huge drawback.

I wish I had a little more experience to share, but I figured I'd throw in my two cents (:2c::tup:) since nobody else has responded yet.

Here is what I've found with my lid. While my ff2 is clean I take a draw and notice a difference in sound while pressing slightly down on bowl side of lid. This only happens on bowl side. You can actually see movement while pressing down. I've tried various positions and same thing. I don't know if the magnets aren't strong enough down there or if the lid is warped. Email sent in to see the response.
