The dosing caps became available this past week in US at the S&B website.
The Mighty serial numbers that are the most recent are following a new numbering system that utilizes a combination of both letters and numbers. I don't think anyone has reported any recent changes to the function of Mighty.
Firmware version is relevant on Crafty, easily seen in the info in the app, but afaik Mighty users do not see the firmware number of their unit, so it's not an issue discussed.
I usually take the c/u off while still warm. I think the breakage of housing around the bowl can be due to resins on the c/u and surrounding the bowl, so keeping all that from getting sticky goes a long way toward preserving the Mighty. I think if it's a little sticky and allowed to cool, the pieces adhere to each other and strain at each other as you torque to remove, especially if cooled down. I agree that it's also a fine time to remove is when cool, as long as everything is clean and not sticky.
I had let Mighty go longer than usual without cleaning the bowl. (I clean c/u often since I use fine screen and it clogs w/resin.) It had a coating of that nasty brown buildup, so it took a while and alternating a couple of methods but it did become very clean and shiny (so I just had to change that big o-ring around it!). Taste improved, but I think I'm also noticing a lot less coughing, even doing higher temp. hits w/out water. Could be strain of flowers, one changed around the same time, but I'm rotating 3 varieties...
I wonder if anyone else notices a correlation between harsh vape (coughing) and a dirty bowl?
