I recommend checking out a theater production, New York has some of the best theater in the world imo.

Also worth just taking a walk around central park.

Eataly is kind of touristy but cool, basically new yorks 'little italy'

Sorry this was a kind of lame list, i'm sure others have better recommendations.

Being a fellow Ny'er there is a ton of touristy things going on not to say most of it is bad. Broadway shows are always nice to see. I highly recommend spending a nice day walking around Little Italy , you cannot go wrong with any of the restaurants there and while your at it in the neighbor is China town , def a sight to see. I recommend doing it during the day , walking around , you can buy cheap cologne , watches , pocket books , sunglasses and a ton more for dirt cheap on the streets and get your girl a copy of her favorite bag. I highly recommend 17 Wo Hop on Mott St. for some amazing Chinese food. You may have to wait on a line but it goes quick , the place is nothing fancy and is underground but it is the best Chinese food I have ever had. Any time I get a chance to go there I do. Central park is also a nice walk in the nice weather. I also highly recommend 5 napkin burger for a good burger , they are all over the city and if you are looking for some decent family style Italian food the chain Carmines is in the city and pretty good as well. Most of the touristy stuff is in Times Square which I highly recommend walking through and taking in the sites and some of the crazy locals on the streets but I do not recommend eating or doing much shopping in that area as most prices are super over inflated. Also if the weather is nice it always fun to go to one of the many roof top bars in the city , have some drinks and view the city from above. Hudson Terrace is a favorite of mine at 621 West 46th Street and also a great one called 230 Fifth. You also got The Pool lounge Downtown at a place called Dream which is always fun and I believe they have a good restaurant also and a rooftop club. Pizza is good all over the City , I happen to like a place called Artichoke Pizza and if your looking for Sushi there are so many as well , Sushi of Gari on the Upper East Side is awesome. You guys also picked a good time to visit as many festivals can be found around the city over the weekend that are nice to def take a stroll through. Good Luck

After you go to @Justpassedu artichoke pizza and stuff your face, go take a walk on the Highline. It's an old elevated train line that was abandon and resurrected a few years back. It's an incredible spot with breathtaking views and great for people watching. Some of the best sunsets in the city and just a great place to hang. Try and go during the week and it shouldn't be as crowded. Weekends are a mess. You could also check out Chelsea market for a food orgasm. Lots of wonderful creations and amazing food, coffee and treats. Have a great time!!!

the highline is great, is that where the barge is that was converted to a bar?

Hey I live in greenpoint, some great stuff to eat if you want to stay Local. Paulie Gee's is amazing pizza, I recommend the hellboy and cherry jones, but theyre all great. you can go to krolewskie jadlo and have a serious Polish feast. Reynard in the Wythe Hotel has incredible food, and then you can go to the roof for a drink and a great view of the city. Also, right next to Fette Sau is the Commodore Bar, which has a great fried chicken sandwich called the Hot Breast.

Haven't been there yet myself but Grimaldi's is supposed to have some great pizza... which I hope you have had so far! Also no particular place but be sure to grab a breakfast sandwich(bacon/egg/cheese on a bagel) from a local deli or something, best breakfast (and hangover cure) ever
