Shit. ..this is a portable sublimator!
I think is the halogen light that give an immediate extraction (I had the herbalizer but this is stronger ...) fantastic!:razz::bang:

I've always been interested in the Sub.....but thought that they were overpriced.

But I am curious whether you have a Sub to compare the Apollo vapor quality with.....or if you've tried one and that is where your comment comes from?

I am on mobile and can't see your signature......so please excuse the question if you are already showing a Sub in your sig.

Someone bring their Apollo to Chicago and we can test it against my Sub.

He has both the Sublimator Apollo and the Venus Apollo listed in his sig...just turn your phone sideways to landscape mode and you will see post numbers and sigs!

I have them both, and I can safely say that the power of the effect is similar..very durable.. just a little bit less visible vapor, but I do not know well yet the apollo I arrived yesterday. the warm up time is less than sublimator that need to warm up very well. I was very amazed and impressed by this unexpected vaporizer! Really:love:

Can you compare flavor from the Apollo to the Milaana? As much as everyone in this thread raves about the flavor of the Apollo I am wondering if it may actually be even better.

Just tried that and it doesn't work.......it could just be a Windows phone issue though?

Wow! That does sound awesome! Especially if you are just using it stock......look at my posts a few pages back with the 3 videos showing the performance with the Solo stem mod.

Thickest vapor I've produced.....consistently too.....and most powerful effects of all my vapes. But I do have both the Milaana and Supreme on their way to me right now.....so I will have all to compare at some point.

Someone has already PM'd me to tell me they prefer the vapor quality of Apollo but convenience of Milaana for out of the house.... a couple people kind of gave me the same feedback.......and one also said that through water Apollo was unbeatable but Milaana was preferable for direct draw. But in the Milaana thread someone said that they prefer Milaana over their Apollo

But I don't know if they have used the available mods for the Apollo that really supercharges the performance.....or if they only used direct draw vs through water. So I guess that I'll have to find out for myself when I try them all out.

oooops.....double post....sorry mods.....Windows Phone really crappy for mobile FC

@Mixio im glad you joined mission Apollo!!! I do truly love my Apollo and think it has an extraction that gives a buzz i dont get with other vapes.

I think the apollo extracts very evenly and fully it gets my material dark brown.

Milanna vs Apollo

If i had to pick only 1 i would go with Apollo, it gives huge extraction, sessions well with others, taste is better than the Mi, much harder to combust and stay at the power level you prefer.
The Apollo is hot vapor so i have to use a water tool to make it shine, its not portable like mi, and mi has on demand going for it. The vapor heat is much nicer with mi so i can use it direct draw, but its harder to dial in temp range needs stiring, and much harder to get even abv because of the unregulated nature and dancing with that combustion line. My abv comes out very tan or maybe 1 side more light and the other side dark kinda like the pucks i get from the underdog.

@nosmoking the flavor for the Apollo all around is better and when you set the temp it stays pretty much there till you boost or draw.
The mi you can surf the low end terps easier with just feathering but once you start vaping the unregulated nature of the mi makes it harder to dial in a temp range, i taste and feel the full spectrum of heat and flavor as it climbs in temp and drops. I feel this spike in temp kinda makes the load loose its taste much faster and you get more a toasty taste quicker.
Apollo if you just set the temp the flavor really lasts throughout the whole session till about the last 2-3 hits then i finally get the toasty taste and usually turn it off because if you push much more you will combust.

They are both good vapes it more boils down to:

Apollo all around better but takes time to heat up prepare, get a water tool ect. Once you start up a bowl you are commited to finish. Think of it as a portable desktop.

Milanna more on the go, or you just want a quick hit, put down and come back is where it shines. But takes much more technique, learning curve.

Edit side note: From what i have read i think i would rather have the Mi over the FF2 from the reports.

I have zero interest in the company or their products, but I enjoy hearing pretty much any vape comparisons. On the apollo I agree with what you said about vapor temp, I'm still struggling with that and I really need to just start using it through a water tool.

Nice one, thanks dude.

That is just the comparison that I wanted to see!!!

But one thing that I would disagree on.....but can also see where you are coming from .....is that statement that you are committed to finishing a bowl with the Apollo.

Edit: I think that if you are talking about the stock herb chamber that you would be correct in saying that it is definitely best for one session - just because the bowl heats up so hot that even if you remove it and it sits full of herb..... that even if the temps are no longer at vaping temperature - that with the herbs sitting in the hot chamber and cooling down with time the herbs will get VERY dry before the next session and will be easier to accidentally combust - which is exactly how my first combustion event occurred - during a second session.

However, with the Solo stem mod I can slide the whole tube, including the Solo stem/bowl along with the lower portion of the herb chamber out of the Apollo from the top port. Or to put it differently - slide the Apollo up and away from the tube that remains sitting on my water piece.

This still results in a bowl sitting on top of my water tool that still has airflow restriction and I can draw through the disconnected tube to reduce the temperature in the bowl and then also lift the bottom of the herb chamber (which is on the very top in this orientation) to remove the hot steel from around the bowl to help reduce any conductive heating while it sits cooling.

BUT.....I do find that since I only have the one Solo tube modded that I'd rather just finish it the first time around because then I would have to load up the same tube while still hot if I wanted to keep going after finishing the bowl in the second session.

I really have to get a few more Solo/Air stems to be able to seamlessly switch the bowls out on the fly.

So if I am just topping up - or am not looking to get too medicated then I will usually only load the bowl 1/3 full and even when I want to get really medicated - I still limit it to 2/3 full - unless there is company and it will get passed around to 2 or 3 people.

I kind of figured that the Apollo would probably have the better flavor over the Milaana due to the constancy of temperature through the draw......but it is the Supreme that I am eagerly looking to compare in terms of vapor quality with the Apollo.

But I can't find anyone with both vapes in their sigs to PM and find out.......I might be the first to actually have them both to compare. Canada Post says that my Supreme will be arriving this Friday.....so I will be able to experiment with it this coming weekend.

@PPN That really is very strange......the worldwide shipping that Ville was using for the Apollo when I ordered it was through DHL ......and it got here to Toronto in less that a week after it shipped. I think it was either shipped Wed night/Thursday morning and got here on the Monday of the following week. Perhaps there is another shipper available for shipping at a lower cost? Or, maybe it didn't ship when you thought it did? Not sure ......but this is the first that I've heard of anyone waiting months for their Apollo due to shipping
Very strange

@StormyPinkness Yup, you DEFINITELY need to try it through water! It is a real game changer! The Mighty has great flavour dry (but I rarely used it dry) but for some reason the flavour was very muted through water. It wasn't until I tried the Apollo that I got to experience vapour that flavourful and thick.....and even through water. The UD was flavourful in the glass stems but the vapor nowhere near the density that I enjoy most and with the regular SS tips that added the conduction factor the vapor was very dense ....but not as flavourful. The Apollo through water keeps both the density of the hit as well as the flavor.

I'd like to hear the comparison to the supreme when you get it. It's a torch vape so using it is totally different, but I'd still be interested. It's such a crazy looking vape, it could double as a self defense weapon.

OK....makes total sense now.

I don't know if you got the long tube with your Apollo......but if you did then I would strongly recommend picking up a couple of Solo stems, some silicone tubing to wrap the stems in and a couple of Solo core o-rings......and an 18mm Male - 18mm male adapter (if you don't already have a water piece with an 18mm male intake joint - like some oil dab water tools, or use an inverted oil nectar-collector piece such as I do (see video) where you can pull the end cap off to clear the bubbler)

If you have only the short tube then I think an Air stem should work......but I haven't tried it yet myself.....maybe this weekend I'll have to grab some new Solo/Air stems for additional mods and report back.....but I do think that someone else has used the Air stem.....but I can't remember if it was used in the long or short tube.

I was anticipating the Apollo to have better flavor than the Mi so I am glad to hear that. I would really like to hear a comparison of flavor for the Supreme as well. Somehow, I also think the regulated Zion might have something to offer in the flavor department that may compete with these beasts as well, however that appears to be the unknown.

I'd like to hear the comparison to the supreme when you get it. It's a torch vape so using it is totally different, but I'd still be interested. It's such a crazy looking vape, it could double as a self defense weapon.
It's awfully small and light but you could sure brand someone with it!

I thought maybe you were one of the lucky international orders that got theirs first or something.

@Milkytime Thanks a lot for your comparison. Sounds pretty much what I would expect to hear.

Your all just making it harder to fight the urge. 2 or so weeks ago I actually tried to buy the Apollo about 5 or 6 times. I just couldn't get the transaction to go through. Had my bank on the line to verify that there were no security holds on my account and there was plenty of funds available so it was something on Ville's side apparently. I couldn't justify using paypal for an additional $15-20 so I emailed Ville. I have not had a response and so I stopped pursuing this vape. I follow the thread and all, but I have a hard time buying this thing knowing I have this much trouble just trying to buy it and not having good communication or response back from Ville. He could have been on vacation or whatever and when he does respond he seems great so I'm not holding anything against him. Instead I am just watching for now, but the idea of an electric supreme has fascinated me all too much so when those comparisons start to come in more I may have to retry my luck with payment!

I have had some FC PM's with Ville and communicated last with him about a week ago after a lengthy period of silence. He had just returned from some much needed holiday and told me that he had moved his operations and was setting up a new office and larger manufacturing facilities. He also mentioned that he was busy training new staff so that he could transition to having the production capacity of having stock on hand and available to ship the same day as ordered.

I am also looking forward to his new Helios model that he let me have a small peek at......in the short video clip he shared the vapor production of that unit was just insane! Something definitely to look forward to seeing someday.

I am sure that after he gets his new shop set up and employees trained that he will be able to get back to everyone and ramp up production to meet demand.

While I don't think I'll ever buy another plug in desktop (I'm with herbalAire till death do us part), I'm definitely curious about the helios. I tried searching for a thread on it but didn't see anything. I've been tempted to buy the battery powered venus after falling in love with watching the led lit vapor in the apollo. I wish I had real life vape friends to convince to buy stuff I want to try.

Also I'm glad it sounds like things are going well for ville.

No thread yet.....it is on the Apollo Instagram page.....it is the most recent pic the one on the left.

It looks like a round based Venus with a smaller control panel and currently has the same top jar - smoked version in the picture. Also a lower brightness LED also stays on when not boosting which illuminates the vapor.

I am hoping that the final LED is RGBW....but "if wishes were horses....beggars would ride"....so who knows?

But Ville was also considering a different glass top.....although I don't know whether he has made up his mind yet if he is going to pursue that idea.....or what alternative shape he might be considering.
