I just got my package in the mail!

Really happy with the CU mod for the mighty and the stand is a perfect colour match to the S&B orange. My only suggestion would be to make the top layer of the stand a bit thicker so a user could sand it smooth.

Milaana. Lana. LANA. LANAAAA! (TM2/TP80/BAK/FW9)
pm me your shipping info and I'll send you one of his stems with the screen in it.

Be advised that you may not have the final screen size RBT now uses, I think you got your production Zion before he made the final change... If Ratchett has the stem though he'll be able to find a size that works well I imagine regardless though. Great idea!

So simple but what I've needed now I need a supreme3 funnel!!

Here's a quick demo vid of @Ratchett's screen press.

I just knocked out about 50 baskets while I watched a soccer game. I'm set for a while now.

Thanks, Ratchett!

:peace:

Rite on, thanks for the demo Stu!

@Ratchett such a great, simple idea! Keep up the great brain storming brother! Do you have an estimated timetable of when this is compatible with RBT stems?

I'm back all! Took a mini vacation to visit family back home for my birthday weekend. Soo much to catch up on!

Yeah, I'm glad you're on it, @Shit Snacks . The stem and basket came from my production Zion, but even that was pretty early on. Please don't let him run with something from me that isn't accurate!

Thanks @Shit Snacks for the info. I was meaning to PM you about that - do you know about the Milaana? Does it use the same size as the Zion? --edit-- - just realized I did pm you before I left, didn't see that reply before posting, lol

I'd be happy to send you some of my prototype screens from both the BP380 press (v1) and the new press so you can test fit those baskets in various vapes.

I've been told that my BP380 basket screens are compatible with the Underdog and HeatIsland vaporizers, as well as 14mm GonGs

 Hell yeah dude. I love my Doob Tube funnel! Makes life so much easier to dump herb from my grinder directly into the tube before I'm running out the door on another day-trip excursion with my wife.

Here's a quick demo vid of @Ratchett's screen press.

Dude! That's awesome! Would you mind me linking to that video from my store (on the basket screen product page)

:science: I've got millions of ideas in addition to the thousands suggested by the great members of this forum. Problem is finding the time to invent all of them and still pay the bills. So I'm trying to focus on the more popular (or easier) inventions first

Regarding the new Basket press for the RBT stems, I'm not certain, but I'm estimating I'll have at least a prototype built before the end of the month - shouldn't be too hard for my machinist friend - all he has to do is bore out a bit more from the steel collar and increase the piston size if necessary (may not be).

Hell he might be able to turn around a prototype within a week for me. I need to touch base with him this week so he can start working on this new press

Lmfao, that's awesome dude! I love seeing all the creative ways my SonG adapters can be used. These adapters are a BITCH to manufacture, so it's rewarding to see them put to good use.

Got a few new product announcements coming up soon. Need to catch up on outstanding orders first, but lots of exciting new accessories to be anounced this month

I'll gladly take one off your hands when they're ready!

Any chance I can get both sizes, and change out myself?

Might be able to make a slide in/on bushing for both, and the top "sleeve/bushing" could pin on??
So a bottom bushing added to decrease size for nano, remove for Zion.
And (pin) a top sleeve added to increase size for Zion, remove for nano.
Does that make sense?

Interchangeable press-plates was in the original design plans. However, the V1 BP380 press is a very tight friction fit mounted to the clamp, those are not going to be interchangeable.

Now that we'll have two different press plate options, I'm going to re-evaluate how feasible it is to modify the design and remove the friction fitting (early prototypes used a bolt to secure the plate to the clamp, and it wasn't strong enough to withstand the forces involved on the press when forming the baskets).

You Must Unlearn, What You Have Learned...
I can testify that the BP380 screens from Ratchett's press not only fit that outside diameter stems and wongs of the Underdog and Heat Island, they fit like a glove! Well, maybe not OJ's glove, but Ratchett still killed it! They fit either way with the slightest help from a chopstick to line into place. That's right 14mm, 18mm, Alan, Andy, Dave, Eds, regular or inverted you are set (Ed's won't go inverted without declaring a flat out war on your screen). If you own a Nano, UD, or HI you need to get your hands on one of these presses! Finally a product that is universal among the major logs, hats off to @Ratchett :clap::nod::tup::love:

I've found that any standard dropper works (and fits) perfectly. So if someone is searching for a glass stem for the PAX2 SonG, you don't need to buy anything: the solution is costless if you have a small bottle with a glass dropper, but the models in the image (with a drop shaped end) are the best choice IMO.

I recently purchased a "Nearly Universal Vape to Waterpipe Adapter" and whilst it's an extremely simple device I was wondering if anyone had some advice of how to get the best use out of this piece.

You see, I used to use my friends "Crafty Vaporizer Mouthpiece to Waterpipe Adapter 18mm" which works great, I figured the "Nearly Universal" one would be better because of it's ability to work on both 18mm and 14mm pieces, however I've been having an exceptionally hard time achieving an airtight connection between my Mighty and the 18mm glass. How deep should the mighty's mouthpiece be inserted into the adapter to get the best results? I honestly didn't expect it to be this finicky, I've been finding I have to apply a lot of pressure to achieve an airtight connection and sometimes hold it on a weird angle which I didn't experience with the "crafty vaporizer mouthpiece to waterpipe adapter 18mm"(it just slid in and worked) I'm concerned about applying this much pressure to keep it airtight because i'm likely going to break the mighty mouthpiece doing so.

Anyways I don't know if i'll find the answers i'm looking for, I honestly didn't expect to have such trouble which what visually appears to be very simple. Thanks FC.

MGG, can you please PM some pictures of your glass piece or the model number? This is the first time I'm hearing reports of a bad seal with my NuSonG adapter and an 18mm joint.

If necessary I will absolutely replace your adapter with a better fitting one.

I do know that some of my DHgate glass does have a bit larger opening (over 19mm) than normal, which might be the issue here.

It was on a dhgate piece, perhaps that was the issue. I will experiment with some other glass.
That's interesting this is the first report, from what I can test placing the 'NuSong' adapter into an 18mm joint and putting my thumb over the airhole does prove it's air-tight, but when I put the NuSong into my mighty I feel like I either have to hold it at a weird angle or use one hand to hold the mighty and another to kind of squeeze the lips of the NuSong tight.

Anyways, I'll test more, maybe I need to have a the mouthpiece deeper into the NuSong itself.

I wasn't really trying to get a replacement because it can't see any evidence that it has some kind of imperfection, I just don't know what i'm doing wrong lol.

@MGG,

that adapter is best used with it jammed onto Mighty stem "all the way", where mouthpiece goes in almost the full length of the "fat part". Especially since, with the mouthpiece of to the side, it is "side loaded" and needs more support/ mouthpiece deeper into adapter.
IMG_7059__64154.1441280375.100.100.JPG

In contrast, @Ratchett has the "full cover Song" which has a bigger/ wider/ fuller grip AND it is a "centered" exit so no sideload-- on a bubbler with direct vertical joint ( I have this on all my bubblers intentionally).
It's tradeoff, as the big boy is more expensive and bigger and centered., But some want less expense/ smaller accessory, universal (almost) fit etc.

There is only one solution: get them both ;)

And the stand, off topic but I still say "S & B, what the flock were you thinking to not design it to easily standup!! The Delta stand is great at home but WTF are you supposed to do, bring it with you on outings?? Rant over...

Each adapter has a place

Do you still smell vinegar? I've been pretty low on NuSonG and manufacturing them to order recently.

If you smell vinegar the silicione is still "curing" - once the smell is gone the silicone will be a bit stiffer and hold a better fit. Possibly try soaking your adapter in a cup of water for 2-3 days. That might help.

 In fact I toyed with the idea of making a key-chain sized stand to hold the vape upright, but early prototypes weren't stable enough for my liking.

Sooo many things going on around the studio behind the scenes, 2016 has been an exciting year so far, can't wait to see what the next 7 months have in store for me.

If you haven't subscribed to my newsletter yet, I suggest doing so in the next few weeks. Additionally you can subscribe to the RSS feeds on my website - I'm always uploading new products before making formal announcements.

Keep on tokin' folks! :spliff:

Can't edit my last post, but I wanted to share with everyone one of my latest prototypes.....

After over a year since we started working on it, I'm finally holding a 4-way Scoop-Poke-Scrape-Tamp tool!

tYvRNdC.jpg

Unfortunately this sucker is just too damn small! Without the knurled grips I had a tough time handing this little guy!

So I'm extending the posts a bit more and increased the center for more grip. But I'm still debating about adding some sort of texture to the posts for grip.

Looking for some suggestions before I order the next prototype later today/tomorrow.
