Underdog Log Vapes

CuckFumbustion

Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
Haven't been high, of course. I'm amazed that it hasn't been difficult for me not being able to get high at all (because I usually experience a lot of MS spasticity
Sigh, I was wondering when that shoe would drop with Johnny Law. :ugh:At least you know what they are bothered with. I don't know Ohio laws or what the Popo's presence is like where you are at. Or Ohio politics. FTM.

Still interested in your medical MJ for your condition. Well you mentioned the meds that you needed for the injuries during recovery and how they might have helped with the spacisity. But the MJ being vaped keeps it at bay, without the side effects of pills. Then you figure a way to be frugal with your 2000+ year old medicine. Sorry Big Pharm. Not every answer to an ailment comes in a pill form.
Glad you are keeping positive as expected and have a stand to try out when you get home.:rockon:Anything that helps make filming come together quicker will allow for more creative video.
But keep it Aimless, if that feels right. Good luck with the therapy and speedy recovery too you!

Back to the thread....
Have a cheap dimmer switch that helps prevent damage to the UD's output and also deals with the annoying twisting and snarling of the cord from the source transformer. Lightweight too!
Other power options that might tweak the voltage. Then I might umm buy some LED lamp strips. Have 2 13v's for projects.
@Aimless Ryan It's amazing how fast the Underdog goes from "My favorite vaporizer." to "That wooden thing that makes the room smell nice." ;)
Aromatherapy and care for your UD question. I have beeswax and a copper aroma bowl. Can I pick out some mineral oil and make a batch to coat my UD? Is there a good ratio?

60/40 mineral oil to wax is a good ratio for a nice soft balm and is approximately what we do. More wax will make it thicker and less will make it thinner so you can adjust it to suit your particular needs. :peace:

I hope I am posting in the right place. So I finally ordered myself an Underdog, the Wild Maple! Woo-hoo! I've been waiting an entire YEAR to buy cause the exchange rate for CDN to U.S. is crazy expensive. I even avoided this forum so I wouldn't be tortured by all of the enthusiasm for it. Seriously.

I'm looking forward to sharing my experience with a vid or something when it arrives as there are not a lot of reviews out there.

Will Do.

I.. can't.. wait. Hope I get confirmation soon that it is on its way. I have no idea how long it will take to ship it here.

We ship 90% of packages the next business day and send you a tracking email when we print the shipping label so you shouldn't be waiting long.

How do you guys use your underdog out and about? It would be nice to take it with a battery pack in my backpack and take it hiking

The option most recently discussed..

Battery Pack @ Amazon

Batteries for pack @ Amazon

In other news - the weather here has been just about perfect for milling wood, something we do every spring to make lumber for extra special vapes.

Right now I'm milling some wood from the large oak tree that fell and crushed one of our sheds a year or two back. Some of you may remember that from earlier posts.
k0hykj.jpg

Select parts of it have been sitting in my little log rack since then and have just reached a low enough moisture point to start milling. Just in time too since soon it will be too hot and dry here to mill anything. Starting to break things down for milling..
oqhc0w.jpg

Some of the first pieces coming off the bandsaw are looking pretty awesome.. nice grain, nice figure, nice color. I think we'll get some nice, extra special stock out of this stuff. It needs to dry the rest of the way now but will probably show up in some vapes mid-late summer.

It is probably a bit past due, however in my defense, my thorough testing of my dog has used much of my free time. This thing has been a champ, so please give a warm welcome to my super awesome bocote underdog! It deserves pics with less terrible lighting but this'll have to do for now.

This is honestly one of the best dogs I have seen yet! Love the pattern. Amanda saved a Black Walnut for me and gave me a rain check on the recent sale! Amazing customer service cannot wait to hit the purchase button this Tuesday or Wednesday!

Aimless Ryan

Came to read about grinders; fucked combustion
At this point I expect to get out of the hospital next Wednesday. When that happens, I expect to return home to no weed, no vapes, no pipes, no bongs, no papers, no nothing. (Hopefully no tolerance, too.) It should be easy for me to get some medicine, but I probably won't have any way to use it. I probably should have thought about this before now, but what am I supposed to do? My income is $480 a month. I get some very important help with important expenses, but almost all my income pays for groceries.

My first inclination is to order one of the wild maple specials currently available. Like now. Because if I have to completely start over, I most certainly will start over with an Underdog. But what if the cops didn't take everything? Or what if I get back Missy Pod Dog after my bullshit court date later this month? There is no way for cops to prove that she is drug paraphernalia, but I still doubt that I'll ever see her again

I have so much shit on my mind right now, I just don't know what to do. I think I've handled this ordeal very well, but right now I'm in tears just thinking about the condition I can probably expect to find my home. I've spent a lot of time in tears lately.

I don't know what to do. A lot of people who know me think I'm an asshole, but I could never even think about victimizing anyone how I've been victimized by the Grove City (Ohio) Police Department.

FUCK ALL COPS!!! Occasionally cops do good things, and I admit that I've been helped by cops on occasion. But I have no doubt that even cops who have treated me with respect have victimized countless others who have never done a fucking thing to hurt anyone. The world would be an infinitely better place without [American] cops.

Why do people treat our society's most dangerous criminals like heroes? And then pay them?

I hope no one reading this (or not reading this) ever experiences what I've had to deal with lately. Even if it ends up making me a stronger, better person.

Unless there is a cop reading this.

In that case, go fuck yourself, you evil scumbag piece of shit. If you want to be a real hero, be a hero by doing something heroic; without also causing anyone to need a hero. Ever.

Even though I don't think I've ever really spoken my mind about shit like this on FC, that's how I truly felt about cops long before this happened. In fact, my most-watched Aimless video, by far, is the one in which Collier County Sheriffs (Naples, Florida) fucked with me on an I-75 on-ramp while I stood there hoping to get a ride out of that hellhole. The only reason that video exists is because it wasn't the first time cops fucked with me that day, in that spot. I had the camcorder in my hand and ready to roll specifically because some other Collier County public servant (deputy), shortly earlier, stopped to harass me, saying through his cruiser PA, "What're you doing on my interstate, boy?" When I immediate reached for my camera bag, he screamed away faster than I could turn on my camcorder.

Thank you, everyone, for being so supportive as I've gone through this nightmare. There is something special about both Underdog vapes and owners of Underdog vapes. Not to mention @underdog and @underdogette. They don't just produce incredible vapes and beautiful art; they also make a huge positive impact on this world countless times every day.

All the Likes my recent posts have received mean a ton to me. I feel like I have a family here on the pages of this thread. And I know everyone else here does, too. It took me a long time to understand how these beautiful creatures even function, but it only took one post to be welcomed into the family. That's special.

Thank you, everyone. Be proud of yourselves for everything you've done to help keep me from totally losing it. I love you all.

Thanks for the update Aimless, hopefully when you get home you'll find your Dog (and other things) intact but I suspect that's not going to be the case. Maybe the Dog itself will still be there but I'm sure all your glass, stems and other 'stuff' will have been taken. I doubt you'll ever get any of it back, regardless of any legal shit, that's just the way it usually goes down. Not trying to be negative or a downer just trying to be realistic.

You focus on getting better and keeping your spirits up and we'll all be here to help as best we can.

I can't do anything about what's already happened but I can make sure you have a Dog to use. If you can send @underdogette a message and let her know what stems you found most useful and a safe address for us to send a package to we'll have a whole new kit waiting for you when you get home from the hospital.

In the meantime you take care of yourself and send Underdogette that message.. Dogs orders.:peace:

Can't say I am a fan of the law either @Aimless Ryan after my experiences growing up with a corrupt police force from street level to the highest government ministers. I don't agree with fuck every cop ACAB sentiment but I am highly suspicious of police even if they have good motives.

With a spot of luck the Banksia pod is chilling at your place even if your other vape supplies are gone. Worst case I am sure @underdog or @underdogette will be able to find a lost dog & do you a deal.

What a absolute beauty @indicandescent it is going to look great & intensify after you have been going hot & heavy for a while :).

I hear you on the exchange rate it is a killer & my currency is about even with the CDN$. I can comfortably say that my UD has been worth every penny I paid & I mean every fucking cent so far. You will fall in love & find the perfect watertool to marry it with & have vape children :2c:.

This is honestly one of the best dogs I have seen yet! Love the pattern. Amanda saved a Black Walnut for me and gave me a rain check on the recent sale! Amazing customer service cannot wait to hit the purchase button this Tuesday or Wednesday!

I love my Black Walnut one more & more each day. It has become much richer in colour with the heat cycles & application of underbutter  .

One of the more surprising parts of UD ownership is how much I enjoy this vape with the thick glass D/D stem. I take big rips out of bongs/bubblers & it could just be the timing but the last two days I have coughed (good coughs not bad) & had that face vibrating from a simple D/D stem :ko: . Yes it involved vaping substantial volumes of actives over the day but those D/D stems were real finishers :whoa:.

Edit: This is why I keep coming back here :D

I gotta get to sleep, but I want to say one quick thing first. I guess I don't really hate all cops, but I don't like them, either. I'm very emotionally and sensorily overloaded right now, so I'm kind of a wreck at times.

A lot of people who have commented on that video seem to think I was trying to portray the cops as bad guys, but I have never really felt like they came off as bad guys; I just shared the story that was there. From what I remember, those cops were pretty cool with me. At least one of them was. But I wouldn't be surprised if they were playing good cop, bad cop. Also, that was nine years ago; only a few weeks into my fairly long tramping career.

I'm very tired and sleep-deprived. Good night, everyone, and thank you, @underdog. That is most awesome of you. You will sell more vapes to me. (But that was already going to happen.)

Honestly I feel like the paramedic was the real scumfucker in this particular situation. As far as I'm concerned the police are a necessary evil. Society would be rough with nobody to enforce laws, however the enforcement seems to be more and more made up of power tripping lunatics with a penchant for blood. That being said there are still plenty of good cops out there, but it is just impossible to know the good from the bad.

@underdog All class, you guys are amazing for coming through for our downtrodden friend here. Utter awesomeness.

Thanks to all with the kind words about my pup, I am lucky to have the opportunity to own such a beautiful piece.

Early morning thought: I think if I ever manage to get back my Missy Pod Dog, the new dog offered last night by @underdog will become a community emergency vape, which I'll someday offer to anyone who may experience the kind of injustice I've recently experienced, as I know at least one other FC member, @Vitolo, has experienced something similar. And it wouldn't have to be someone from the dog pack; it could be anyone, as long as they agree to pay it forward whenever it may happen to someone else.

Honestly I feel like the paramedic was the real scumfucker in this particular situation.

I agree. Even while I was in shock from seeing my leg move how no leg should ever move, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. That guy has absolutely no business having that job. And if I can take it away from him, I will.

Oh, OK. Ignore what I said in the Aromed thread then, since you already knew what I told you in my response. I'm game.

@Aimless Ryan I've been reading your post man and I hate it for you so much. Beat of wishes and a speedy recovery. @underdog @underdogette  y'all generosity and ability to care will be why I'll continue being a customer. way to be a stand up group and going above and beyond for your customers and there pups.

Believe it or not, everyone, in a way I'm doing really well right now, even though I'm still in a ton of unending pain and other kinds of misery. I suppose a big part of it is because of the number of recent posts in this thread like the one above. Maybe it's because the average Underdog owner (including the founder and founderette) was cast from the same mold as the average In-N-Out customer. That is, people who value substance and integrity and all things that should be valued, instead of valuing bullshit, dishonesty, and the gullibility of honest people; people who also offer those things to whoever they interact with.

Y'all probably can't know this, but the main In-N-Out target demographic constituent is very willing to kick down to those in need, which has been me many times. I can't say that about customers of any other fast food joint. Having spent a lot of time living as a bum/tramp/traveler/hobo/hiker/badass in California and the rest of the American west, it became very clear to me that the average In-N-Out customer "gets it." If I could go to an In-N-Out right now, hungry and broke, with a heavy backpack on my back, I would likely have $20 and a Double Double combo within 15 or 20 minutes of going to the edge of the property (entrance/exit) and holding up a sign reading:

PLEASE HELP A
HUNGRY TRAVELER
THANK YOU

From my perspective, even though I always felt at least somewhat uncomfortable doing that, I probably shouldn't have, because it was kind of a fair exchange whenever I used a sign like that as a tool to put a little cash in my pocket. When I was aimless, like those three Ryans in my current profile pic, painted by a lady (art teacher) I met just west of Yates Center, Kansas in the middle of a very long walk, I was doing what a lot of people I encountered always wanted to do but never had the balls to try. To the best of my understanding, seeing/meeting someone who was actually living their dream was worth a few bucks.

That kind of person eats at In-N-Out, not Burger King or McDonald's.

In-N-Out's employees/managers get it, too. Earlier in that same long walk in 2010, while I flew a sign for cash at the In-N-Out in Peoria, Arizona, the manager came out and told me I couldn't do that on the property. Which I knew. But unlike managers of other fast food joints, he was cool about it. That is, he treated me with respect as he kicked me off the property. Consequently, after I wrangled up a little cash somewhere else, I still ate at In-N-Out.

Sorry if I've been off-topic here, but I feel like people following this thread kinda dig when I do this. I suppose because like In-N-Out customers, Underdog owners get it.

Like many have said before, I hope everything works out for you @Aimless Ryan! If you don't mind me suggesting some advice, you should focus on getting better first and not get too stressed over all the BS. Easier said than done, but your recovery should be your biggest concern right now and overwhelming yourself with all that negativity will make the healing process that much longer. Once everything is settled and you feel ready, I look forward to another UD video! Definitely keep us posted.

Going back to the raw wood topic, I found some interesting wood on a small hike in LA. I don't know if this was carved by somebody or if the wood is organically designed this way, but I found it very interesting and maybe someone here can identify it and provide some more info? Apologizes for the size of the images. Spoiler to keep it small.

Obviously the patterns would be sanded down, but I don't think I'd mind my next UD to have these striations!
