I have the PD, IO and LB... What next?? Suggestions please ;)

Okay so tomorrow is my birthday - woohoo! Old house finally sold - woohoo!!

I'm thinking of adding something else to my new collection but I'm not sure which way to go. I'd love to hear some veteran suggestions.

I smoked forever and had a large collection of regular pipes and bongs years ago but when my son was coming up I gave (still hurts) all the stuff away!! I stuck with papers and a small pipe for years. I never had any of the fancy things you see nowadays, just basic stuff.

Fast forward many years and I find this place - start vaping my ass off! I no longer smoke... Okay, I suppose I 'could' but.... I feel more evolved than that!! NEVER thought I'd give up smoking the herb! Now, don't care even care to.

So, bought the PD.... I LOVE it! I have 2 Iolites - love them too. I have the LB which I'm learning to love more. I definately have the portable situation covered. I have my PD for my daily driver.

I want something to pull out when I really want to vakate for a while or perhaps take to a friends house ;)

I am mostly a solo flier unless I take things to a friends, kid at home still so stealth & being able to put away in a box would be a must. I want something that is not too terribly technical to use/clean. I'm thinking electric is probably best since I never used butane before the IO and don't even keep lighters around anymore! I don't understand all the terminology with the bits everyone talks about...

I am NOT interested in bag vape though, that much I do know. No cheap lead box either.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!! Still wish there was a tupperware party type circuit for vapes so I could try them ALL!!

A Volcano would be the ultimate bag vape but I dunno if 500 is in your price range, I've never used a zephyr ion but you could wait and here a little more about those.

An Extreme blows pretty nice bags without the speed or convenience of a volcano and you also get a decent whip vape.

Too bad you got rid of your bongs, I'd also recommend a vrip tech.
Maybe a silver surfer or da budha if you decide you want a whip vape that packs a big punch?

Happy birthday!

Large hit wise, it sounds like you want something like the Extreme, Silver Surfer, or Da Buddha. I haven't used an Extreme so I can't comment, but I know the SSV comes with a bag and packs away pretty well, but it isn't the zenith of stealth, no where close to a PD or IO. The bag is probably 6"x8"x12", but it does travel well, so it might fit your needs.

If you want draws that are typically stronger than what you can get go with the SSV, DBV, Warez 3/4g. I own a DBV and want for no other. Also, with the LB, which I also have I can reuse the abv in the DBV for some more draws off it and others report the same with the PD but I am unsure on the IO.

If you want to add a bag vape to the mix check out the Extreme and Herbalair which can also do direct draw and the extreme with the elbow piece is stated to be quite good for stronger draws with the extreme in comparison to its normal fitting for the extreme so I would consider that option if it interest you..

If you still had your bongs I would recommend the Vrip but you could always buy a bong to go with it, this is said to produce some of the tastiest vapes and capable of very powerful draws. I already spent my birthday present, a brand new power steering pump for the freaking vehicle. lol, I never heard such a noise from a vehicle, anyways what such a wonderful choice to make, happy vaping!

Thanks for the input so far.

In my head I've felt I needed to get either a DB or an SSV next just judging by what I've read here but haven't figured out which way I lean there. The V-Rip thing is intriguing to me and one I've been reading on but I'm kind of confused about all the bits I see it used with. All the names like showerhead, gong, joints, bubbler, beaker... I only know the words pipe or bong :D I'm old school but not too old to learn.

If I were you I would go with the economic stimulus package from Vriptech, it gives you evetything you need to have the tastiest vapors around! For 299.99 you get the heatwand, pro water tool, and your shorty intake and VCB (which is the bowl), then for $40 you can buy a opteka padded camera case with locks on ebay, and your set. I carry mine around to frienda houses, keep her in my closet locked up, very convieninent and the taste is like better then any vape I have touched hands down, I liking it to being " one of the best herb consuming devices on the planet" you will not be dissapointed!

The whole showhead, perc talk is more high end glass talk, its good fore vripping but not needed.

lo...you can check my sig to see what units I have...similar to your lineup. I am about to get somehting else that will hit me right in the face. It's between the vhw and the ssv. I love my E, but I know that there are bigger hits to be had. I think I am going to go with the ssv just because of its ease of use. I am attracted to the stimulus package mentioned above, but I have kids as well and would have a hard time using it and even hiding it from them. I'm looking forward to getting the ssv!

You've got efficiency covered, as well as the portable thing. Now it's time to get something that will fuck you up!

lo , I love my buddha , and you can turn the temp up a bit to get them killer bong like rips , it just cook's a bowl in a few hits .

Not saying that there is anything wrong with the E ( I still realy like mine ) , but when I took mine apart after only a couple months it almost looked like that picture of the dirty cano around here somewhere . With the buddha or the SSV you get a nice clean AIR path not only the vapor path .

If it was my birthday , I would ask for a SSV with a DBV heater cover and wand , but then again I have not tried a SSV so...

Oh , Happy Birthbay .

I know I would get one of the waterpipe trio, VRIP, Herborizer, or De Verdamper because you don't want a bag vape and these would provide a different vaping experience than you are used to. But on the other hand you mention qualities like stealth and traveling to a friends house..... I don't know if you have actually tried a bag vape or just read bad things about them, I can tell you they are great to use with a friends and are sure to wake up a party.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm still torn!!

I have tried a friend's Volcano bag a long time ago... I understand the concept and it's good... I'm just not sold on the bag dealio. At this point I think I am looking to re-live those massive bong hits of my youth and think I would like to taste the herb through glass ;)

Then part of me thinks, hell I get pretty damn high with the gear I have now... Yet I still want to add something to my collection. I plan on vaping forever 'til I die :D

Looks like you have no choice but to try one the three that I mentioned earlier;), ever since I hit my friends VRIP I have been craving a bong style vape, the whole process is just therapeutic to me. If I can afford it I will get an Herborizer or Verdamper because it comes with the glass and you dont have to hold the heating wand like the VRIP.

I have both a SSV and VB and I like them both equally; the VB being less expensive and a bit easier to stuff away in a cabinet.

I use a Myrtlezap and a Launchbox and love them both. If I was going to buy another vaporizer it would be an AroMed. All glass with precise temperature control and water filtration for $400. I don't NEED it, but I sure would like to have one to play with.

If I was gonna get another vape, the vrip gets my taste buds going.

another vrip vote here :)
my vrip set up
leaves my pd,launchbox and genie collecting plenty of dust...
using the wand gives the same ritual as
putting a lighter up to a bowl,
so it bothers me none at all having to hold it.
add in the a+ customer service, killer taste and you can't go wrong.. :2c:

oh btw, happy belated bd :)

VHW. There isn't a whip out there that can give you the same density or taste that the wand can give you. We vrippers just like gettin crazy with glass pipes that's where the shower heads ans diffys and such come in. I bought a case for mine and it sits under a bed when not in use and looks like a camera when I'm carrying it. I love my wand

edit: that's my wand, the stand, a blazemaster bowl, a slidder lower bowl, an upper bowl and my old 35cm roor. All in a 18x10x6 case. I think those are the dimensions. Somewhere close to that

2 on my wish list are the Supreme and glass Vaporgenie. Both have gotten thumbs up from experienced vape heads.

Don't know if you want to play with fire but you'd be covered for big hits when the power goes out.

Happy belated and congrats on selling!

Hehe.. That would be a good consideration during hurricane season here :) We do have a genny though but... You never know!

I have realized that while I REALLY don't need another vape... It is now more of an obsession to collect some different types. I then thought - the next one should be able to vape the goodies I've been reading about making, hash, oils, etc. I'm way leaning towards something glass. Damn decisions!! Thankfully my PD is keeping me company whilst I ponder!!

Still torn here in FL! I so appreciate everyone's advice and the well wishes. I love this place!
