It can be. I can get it to milk, I can't guarantee others will but it really isn't that difficult, I've seen other videos of nice Firewood clouds. It doesn't milk as easy or thick like the grassHopper but definitely has the potential.

Not sure if you saw this video but the Firewood was on lower temps (supposedly 300F-349F) and still could produce clouds.

Firewood looks like it takes a bit to get started but thats true for true convection in most units..not too bad and super cheap..

When I am not trying to make an awkward video I get draws a lot quicker. The big issue with this video is that it was when I just received the Bottle Rocket and wasn't with a consistent technique. During the video most of the time I was drawing before the heater was entirely ready so it was a slow build up. Also being at that low two setting meant after every draw the coil wasn't going to be ready. I could have either done a primer puff and waited a few seconds for it to reach temp. Or compensate with a slow and longer initial inhale that increases when I feel or see the temp is where I want.

When you are at temps above 2 (again low temp), the heater stays on longer. It works like this, Temp 1, the coil shouldn't glow. Temp 2, coil can glow but it won't stay. Temp 3, coil may fully glow for a second. Temp 4, glowing coil for a few seconds.

The Firewood does demand some technique, but I love it.
I use it dry, basically every day, and start getting good visible vapor ~10 seconds after turning on and setting the heat level. I keep puffing (stacking variously short and long draws) and the clouds just keep building! :spliff:

My new Milaana is a serious contender too... it can probably make better clouds, slightly faster, but overall I think FW is still my favorite.

Hammer, Vaporgenie and VC from my own personal use. CFX from what I have read looks like a good portable cloud machine.

For those three points(and I'm guessing flower only), I second your Solo vote.
The Grasshopper and Crafty are portable and storm bringers, but not economical.
For the $130 or so I've seen them for, the Solo is the best vape on the market. It's been at the top of my list for years.

For concentrates, take a look at the OPhos and the W9tech line.

Good luck!

Mighty can be very economical. . Just use an oil pad on top to fill out the bowl. I do this frequently with loads as small as 0.05. Works a charm.

If by economical you mean cheap, the Boundless CFX is a really good value with the FC 20$ off. The CF is even a cheaper, in the flowermate range. Both have solid battery lives. The real reason I suggest is the phrase cloud chaser as the CFX turns me into a dragon cloud machine. Most people who have one really like it, and the company is active in the thread and offers good customer support. In my opinion the taste is nearly as good or just as good as the Solo with far better airflow, quicker heat-up time and less breakable glass parts.

Exactly. I do .1 g loads, pad on top, clouds till the cows come home. Barely makes a dent in the stash.

I second a couple mentioned that I've gotten recently. Love my solo. But the Milaana which is finally being mailed out is totally brainless, has 0 learning curve and has great clouds. That's the only vape I've owned that is so simple. Ones that others seem to find mindless tend to be complicated to me.
The CF/CFX had a learning curve for me to figure out the parts. But now that's done, it is also simple and has good cloud. I tend to put only a bit in all my vapes, about half a teaspoon, and that works fine with these.
If you don't mind butane, the dynavap is great and only $30.

Sorry, I took Mr. Sifter's "economical" as purchase price, not usage. With that in mind I feel the Grasshopper is quite economical in usage and efficiency.

Well my grasshopper was £250 (around $350) the same price as a mighty.

Edit

@Mr.Sifter can you clarify if you mean economic with your stash or cheap to buy?

Cloudchaser and Solo don't belong together. Granted I've been able to milk some bubblers with mine its simply not very well suited to the task. Its a good vape to turn on and sip on if you've got time to spare however.

I suggest a butane powered vape, specifically the hammer, vapor genie or lotus. They are all extremely efficient with your herbs, on demand (no constant heat like a session conduction vape) and hit like mac trucks. The only downfall is a slight learning curve, however in my experience its certainly worth it.

I have pretty much eliminated electricity from my own routine. For me its a no brainer.

My Mighty is amazing for economy, clouds, and portability. It's on par with my Herbalizer for clouds if not a little better.

they say im crazy but i have a good time
Lotus definitely !

... i just picked up the lotus and i second this!
it hits all points IF a butane/torch vape is a consideration...
... IF this has not been considered you should revisit that...

And I second your last sentence !

This week I had a vapeshop seller coming home (he does demonstration) to try the Lotus and logvape. Funny thing is he still smoke but just started a vape-shop. Now he wants a Lotus :)
Everybody who has tried other portable always have the same reaction, they like the visual feedback : clouds and also the physical one : boom in the head/eyes ... Which they miss in other vapes and from smoking habit. The Lotus gives you that kind of satisfaction and feeling.

I totally forgot to mention in electronic department :
-the Flashvape as well ! Had a friend coming today wondering about that one since I sell it (don't use much) and it is clearly a cloud machine on demand !
- Alfa in portable & electronic gives clouds so easily too. Just pack well and get it steamin'...
