Stay positive man. I'm sorry all this is out of order. Very odd. I think she's just grabbing people from a stack and sending out E-Mails as quickly as possible.

Can any of you battery experts pass any judgement/comment on my charger (only ever used it twice for flashlight batteries, seemed OK), but...it has FIRE in the name

It's a SINGFIRE US UC1
And on the back it says:

Automatic intelligent universal charger
Input 1:AC 100V-240V 50/60Hz
Input 2DC 12V 1A
Output 4.2V for lithium battery
1.48V for Ni-Mh/NiCd
3.6V for IFR(LiFePO4) battery (optional)

It's a very simple 4 bay charger with a 3 light system on each bay to indicate the charge on inserted battery.
Will this be safe to charge RBT's batteries?

I am not a battery guru so dont take my word but I believe that they will be ok... Perhaps not the absolute best but they exceed the discharge requirements at 30a continuous rated.
They are apparently Hybrid IMR Nickle-Manganese-Cobalt chemistry. They are as safe as the original IMR batteries (Li-Mn). Acording to

Also I have been using a bunch of VTC3's (same chemistry but lower mah) for about 12 months now in my Cera which is also an unregulated high current draw device and they have been fine, and although they only have 1600mha I get a good 2 bowls out of one, and plan on keeping them as travel backups when Mi turns up.

He praised me on good vibes because @Shit Snacks told him about the shipping stuff I was doing. He said thanks a million and told me I kick ass. Then a couple things about the Mi which I shared with the group. It still has not gotten my Milaana shipped and I ordered before many like I mentioned yesterday. If RBT was going in order it might have meant you would have recieved your Mi one, maybe two, week(s) earlier. Is that really worth griping about? My life certainly has better things going on it to be concerned about whether I get her this week, last or next. Once the relationship starts I am sure there will be plenty of time to make up for a week or two!

Any Aussies know where to get good 18650's and chargers in store? The online fakes worry me, no batteryworld near me, and dick smiths is shut down. Plenty of tobacconist and such, but I feel 90% of that stuff is bought from the same Chinese places my FCers frequent and no more likely to be genuine than ordering myself online.

@IAmKrazy2 FC can be a tough place when the coddle couch is closed...I hear ya! Lol.

What @nosmoking is doing is dope and I think he should be recognized for it.

But if there hasn't been 'time' to do anything else in the past few weeks, rewarding non beta testers with privy info...just for spreading good vibes seems a bit...strange.

On the same token I'm sure 'negative vibes' get heard and dealt with accordingly as well.

Had a pretty bad morning too.. So I think it touched me differently than if I was balanced and even. But karma seems to got back to me: RBT answered my mail and I'm just happy I received an answer and confirmation neither my message attempts nor my order got lost. So all is good and I'm trying to get the good vibes crawling in again

Dont really know if they are trust worthy but I ended up at www.fasttech.com after being guided by FC! Have bought quite a lot of bats from them and while I have no way to really know if I got fakes or not They have all done the job and not blown up (except the one that got shorted accidentally but even that one only vented safely with no boom). And like I said before my device is unregulated has no low voltage cut off and reallt puts them through their paces.
Their shipping has always been pretty good and prices are good.
Any one who knows better feel free to correct me!

I agree with much of what you said except for me it is not about the soup. To me it is that there is no benifit to my life if I get upset about something I cant control or have any effect on. Thats a waste of energy IMO. Should you get yours before me why dont you be a stand up guy and send it my way until I get mine since your so concerned about following order, just saying if the Milaana was in your hand and not others who ordered ahead of you, would you care about order so much?

Anyway, was resigned to waiting a few weeks, and then i get an email this morning. Although, as @TheRobbo noted, it's only an address confirmation so far, so probably a lot more emails will go out before the next batch.. But good news. Things seem to be rolling up to speed. Gathering pace. Stuff happening. Unbelievable.

Waiting a little on international orders makes sense, unfortunately.... But so far no warranty issues at all on the vape, it seems? Which is great.

One pissweak battery the only issue so far as i can tell, and solved with a locally sourced replacement. Unreal.

Maybe consider 2 batts on the retail package to ensure that this issue doesn't happen to less informed customers?

I would if there were some guarantee I would still end up with one in the end. But this more-so sounds protective of the exclusive way you were treated. I can care less who gets what in what order.

But if people have sent emails months ago that are being ignored, is it right to bring new people in to the fold while ignoring others simply because they don't spread the vibe Ryan desires?

I would. Being grateful to have something doesn't excuse the flaws of the way things are being ran. Even if I had a Zion and milaana in my hand right now and this same situation was happening I would feel the same way..

But I'm not so easily moved by trinkets and favoritism.

But being a person of color, my views on privilege are probably skewed, because I hate it with a passion.

That's is untrue, there have been more issues, but people don't want to post them in fear of being crucified by town folk.

Now that I have been using my milaana, mostly with water. I'm going back to read posts that users have posted. I would like to know what I need a "joint" for- especially a US one.

Right. Since my Mi came sans battery I broke up one of my 2 dedicated Zion pairs, and ordered another pair for Venus. These came quickly and are charged and ready for service but haven't yet seen duty. Maybe when its time to give Bam Bam a break...

As mentioned, I got my address confirmation the other day. I responded with very specific instructions about shipping because I'll be moving two times in the next two weeks and must make it to either location by a certain date. I emailed Sheila yesterday. I woke up to the E Mail today at 10:30. Very fast response. And very kind too, letting me know she fully understands.

I know some of you have been skipped and are upset, I completely understand. It doesn't make sense and can only bring anxiety, but at this point it's only time. RBT has done everything we wanted, built the vapes, set up shop, hired an awesome CS lady, and is shipping. It's not a matter of if anymore, there's no question it's arriving. And if anything happens I'm sure the new rbt will sort out any issues.

I'm incredibly impressed with the turn this company took. Is no one else completely stoked this is happening??? Not even to get my vape, but we watched a company get born! And helped!! Very exciting.

We started in purgatory boys, and we're looking at the gates. Life is good.

Milaana arrived yesterday and I immediately put it to use. In short, I think I like it better than my Zion because it is far more portable and produces quick and consistent results. Not that the Zion is bad, it just takes a bit longer to heat soak from cold start. The Zion is probably a better session vape where the Mi is for hit and run vaping.

Aesthetically the Mi (as well as my Zion) are a little rough but that just gives it character.

Compared to the GH, the Mi is not as stealthy. I've had 2 GHs that I no longer use, got tired of the drama and how fiddly they were to use. For my application, the Mi fills the bill.

If that's the all around consensus as time goes on, might have to skip the GH...I'm not to stealth needy.

Fast and effective is the aim, vapor comfort is the next big plus

After much deliberation I cancelled the gh order awhile back. I just don't need stealth anymore.

@WakeAndVape what are some of the other issues? The weak battery is the only one I recall reading about...

Anyways, I'm really looking forward to more instant on. I just have to stop looking at the mailbox 8 times a day...

I think the point is more about speculation, we cannot know RBT is playing favorites with replies and info. People discuss vibes, but imo its more about facts and productivity. Personally I believe picking apart the communication is useless, trying to find pattern or logic where there is none, we do not have all the facts so it is pointless to discuss imo and clutters the thread for people who want info about the product. I hope we don't need that "what RBT should do" thread, or even a shipping thread for Milaana... Issues with the product is what people should post so they can be helped just like Vape Dr was. If the problem is certain to be a warranty issue, best course is to report it to the maker so it can get sorted out, people post at their own discretion. RBT does not have the time to make a list of good FCers and bad FCers, he is using his time to fulfill all FC orders so he can move on and get these out at wholesale instead. Thanking someone in an email reply, and mentioning a bit of news update on progress is more flying by the seat of his pants in the moment than a carefully planned strategy of reward. I think you are reading too much into it, and as a result are hearing back a lot of "just wait for your vape, its coming" bc this thread is about that vape...


@killick there is a user who got a seemingly cool runnings Mi, we should let him speak for himself, but he chose to troubleshoot in private first and get in touch with RBT for warranty vs starting up any commotion in here. I had to help him do so bc the warranty form needed an update on the site. It should be good to go now for any future issues though

Well there's one above, but also @Smoke1ForMe (who has a beta Zion too) and @Vape Dr. have a GH to compare. Still waiting on mine, 1/15/15 pre order but keeps getting pushed back every month so we'll see what May brings... The biggest element would be self contained automatic convection vs separate glass manual convection here, and ofcourse GH is just overall more stealthy no matter what

In my opinion the grasshopper is more stealthy but that is about it when compared to my Milanna.

Battery life - Milanna wins and it's not even close my grasshopper can barely last 2 chambers before it is dead. Milanna I get at least 4 and I could get more but I like fresh batteries.

Vapor Quality - Milanna easily wins so much smoother than the grasshopper and I don't burn my lips constantly and that's with the short stem on my Milanna.

Vapor Flavor - Milanna tastes much better for longer than the grasshopper. I feel the flavor drops off quickly when using my GH.

I have had my Milanna since Monday and I haven't used any other vape since. It just produces vapor so easily and it so convenient. I don't even grind my bud with it just break off chunks and load it, pure convention flavor is amazing.

Kind of regretting the choice of Zion over Mi now. Will probably grab one eventually, but the budget is too tight right now to grab one at the current price. Looks like that's about to go up, as well, though. It's a shame, but it looks like I'm not meant to try this model out for a while.

Hopefully the Zion is worth it by the time things are said and done. Seems like a fair share of the beta team are mainly using the Mi these days, so that's kind of worrying.

I didn't hear any follow up from the purchaser...but I know people tried to write it off as user error. Which may have been the case...but who knows.

That is what I was referring to more so.

I apologize if I come off as blocking up the thread but until we havea base of solid running units up for sometime and can attest that the vape is solid, well running and durable...RBT's demeanor and communication style are going to be an important aspect in the purchasing process...especialily because of his friendliness..

Sheila is his best investment by far...if that can be passed on.

Don't worry dude, Zion is still a more fully featured flagship, there's a bit of new toy syndrome ofcourse, and Milaana is great, but rest assured Zion is a true mobile desktop with very little compromise at all

Ah yeah no that one seemed normal, just scrimshaw wasn't feeling it himself, we'll know for sure when @subway13029 gets his hands on it I suppose, but didn't seem there was any defect with that one aside from fit and finish perhaps. I wouldn't say write it off, as much as we were trying to help, but he felt he got it and just didn't like it so that's all there is to it imo. Manual vapes are not for everyone

Yeah so far so good imo on building up that roster, quite a few seem to be getting them and not posting much, as was common with GH too. Over time we will see more I am sure. imo his demeanor doesn't matter anymore (if it ever did) bc he is switching over to the manufacturer as he said, and as evidenced by the new CS rep. So let's see in a few weeks now thats going, I don't think there is anything to worry about just yet, as the real focus is clearly on fulfilling the orders and getting a bunch of stock ready for wholesale. If people want to jump in while they still can with the pre order to get it cheaper/sooner, but they have to enter the unknown a bit (for CS and durability like any new vape) or wait longer and likely pay more at headshops or online retailer down the line
