Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

I just wanted to pop in and say that I also ordered 4 ELBs from the 420 sale and I was afraid they might be hit or miss with the size based on what I've seen in this thread, but all 4 of mine fit like they should. They actually look a bit nicer than the older ones due to the better looking welds in the seams. The old ones were a bit wrinkly in the welds. The new ones are nice and flat on the welds. This could contribute to the falling out factor on some. I actually had to flex some of my old ELBs coming from the Cloud to the EVO so I bet the bamboo size has more variance in size than ELBs, so some folks will have issues and some won't.

Good luck to all those having ELB issues. If you find they still fall out after a slight flexing of the sides, put in a support ticket. I've never had an issue go unresolved with VXL

I expressed my concern and although Vapexhale is going to resell this bad turbine they promised it wouldn't be in a standard priced package this time and it will be sold as a scratch and dent. So that's a good thing.

I haven't seen the standard HT scratch and dent sales before but they must have had a lot of them by now with all of the returned glass.
How much do they usually sell them for? Heck if it's $50 or something that might be a hell of a deal for someone! I may even be in the market for a Scratch and dent HT for a discount when that sale happens again if the price is right?

One of the things I find interesting about knowledge is that no one (or at least none of the many, many, many philosophers I have read) can define it. So the conversation looks something like:

"How do you know you know X?"

"I don't know how, I just do"

While it appears we cannot precisely define what knowledge is, how we can know something/anything, or how we can know for sure that we know what we know, there is (at least) one thing about knowledge we can know: in order to know something, it is virtually impossible for it to be incorrect. In other words, you cannot know something that is not true. For example, I cannot know that a triangle has four sides and four angles because that is virtually impossible. (By definition, triangles necessarily have three sides and three angles.)

Is there any chance, any chance whatsoever that VXH does not intend to sell your damaged unit to someone else? If so, then you cannot know that and if that is true, then is it obvious that VXH intends to sell your damaged unit to someone else? Is it obvious that they have any unethical intent whatsoever or is that merely one of many potential reasons they want you to return the glass ?

We humans are incredibly efficient and effective at manufacturing an illusion of solidity, resolution, certainty, predictability, and control out of nothing but our thoughts - and that is the single source of virtually all our unnecessary suffering.

It looks like he was told it would go in the scratch and dent bin. But if it doesn't function then it shouldn't go there. I've seen pics of a lot of their scratch and dent stuff, and I have a couple of pieces here now, and they aren't near as bad as this turbine we're talking about.

Another thing...I brought up the labels coming off and they are going to switch to sandblasting labels to avoid this problem in the future.

Are you suggesting that Orwell, Pinker, or anyone in M of WP offered a rigorous definition of knowledge? If so, what is it? If not, what is the relationship between my text that you quoted and your photo?

I know I'm not the only one curious as to the change in quality in HT's. I'm kind of surprised no one else has asked considering how often the quality of HT's is brought up here. It's an issue that is brought up by many potential buyers when visiting this thread, sure they would like to hear why too.

Users that have their old school HT, what if that breaks and you have to buy a new one but it is half the size and does not feel the same quality ? Would you not be curious to why ? especially from a company that prides itself in being a premium vaporizer and at quite a high price point .

Hi mate. Not been on here in a while, hello to the rest of you also, it's been a good while.

I am being double careful for sure, my old style hydra bomb is stunning, the perc truly looks like a crystal grenade. I have used the new one and the function is still great, but I would be really upset to have to replace my current model with that.

As for why they made the change it seemed to happen around the same time as the price drop, which makes sense. They have to expand, even if I want them to stay niche.

I do like the fact that they are still offering premium options like symbiartic, it does however frustrate me that I can't buy one. Even though Vapefiend will likely never stock them...I dislike that contract, it makes no sense to me to turn away sales.

I'm glad you're enjoying your hydrabomb dude, when it is done right it does look pretty stunning. As for my issue - @stonemonkey55 messaged me himself to let me know that he wants to make things right for me, just wants me to raise a ticket with VXL which I did. I told them that I got my Hydratube from @VapeFiend.com in the UK and asked if they could still help me , They told me that they would contact Vapefiend and that they would be able to set me up with a replacement.

I really am quite stunned as I didn't expect anything to happen- it really goes to show how far this company will go to keep existing customers happy. I appreciate Mr Shen taking time out of his busy schedule to rectify this issue for us.

Just received my EVO today. Couple of quick questions so far...

1. What is the recommended range of dial settings for concentrates?

2. Haven't tried the ELB yet, but I did one dab in the nail. After I finished and pulled the nail out, there was a tiny bit of vapor in the bamboo. To clear it, I just lifted the EVO and blew it out the bottom hole. Is that right?

EDIT: Please disregard the first question, just found the answer earlier in the thread - 2pm - max.

So with the ELB, what are you guys doing with it in between hits of a longer session? Do you just leave it in the EVO or do you set it aside and put it back in when you're ready for the next hit?

I pull mine & set it aside... unless I forget. I don't know if it makes any difference, but if possible I would like to avoid it vaporizing any that I'm not getting.

Edit: I even had @Bongologist make a concave wooden holder for when I would have to set it on something that could get messed up by a piece of hot metal being set down.

I use a medium to a fine grind with my flowers and load the ELB about 1/3 and I give it a slight pack. I like using the regular mouthpiece. Usually I use mine as a session vape so I leave my ELB in the whole time.
I get about 10 draws. I do take it out about half way through and stir my cannabis.

Its a hassle to take it out unless I'm done with my session and want to save the rest for later. If that's the case I lay it down on a heat resistant surface, like a plate.

My temp is at 12:00 and I go to 1:00 towards the end. My ABV is pretty dark brown with few lighter flakes.

Definitely seems the easier route, but I'm curious - how is it that the flower doesn't get toasted while it's sitting in the heat in between hits?

I'm using the regular mouthpiece as well, but find it a little short for my liking. Is anyone using a longer dry mouthpiece? Do they exist?

Going to try with my bong and the VX adapter kit later tonight.

Yeah, great question. I suspect it is because the EVO uses convection to heat the flower, which means your flower will not get particularly hot until you take a hit.

Hello friend. No worries! I have learned to be quite comfortable with confusion - and why not? Confusion is a sign of an opportunity to learn and grow. BIG Yay for that.

I have two degrees in philosophy - one from a Western university, the other from a Buddhist monastery. In my opinion and for what it is worth, Western philosophy seems to range from clever to downright childish, while its Eastern counterpart (to me, at least) seems rooted in a kind of wisdom I seldom find here in the west.

I take it out and give it a little shake.

Wow the vapor. Wow the flavor.

Much smaller than anticipated and that's a great thing. I must say, one ELB and I have been golden for 3 hrs. Wow!

The Cera used to be about 2-4 bowls a night but the Evo is much more heavier on the vapor. I had it at 10 o'clock too!

I want to fill the hydrabomb up more but I'm so afraid of overfilling with that Rez block! Any advice on how to utilize the hydrabomb perfectly with the Rez block?
