"Botany of Desire" - PBS Marijuana Documentary

I found this really interesting clip on YouTube regarding the not so obvious medical benefits of marijuana, check it out! It's taken from a PBS documentary. At the 6 minute mark they talk about its effects on memory and the possibility of honing it to treat PTSD -- really interesting stuff!

I need to see if that vid is avail from my library. It also discusses 3 other plants - apples, tulips, and potatoes. But at 2 hours long, and a segment on med marijuana so maybe it'll have 30 mins of good info to see.

That video is very interesting. It shows the positive effect that marijuana has on scientific development, and the discovery of ourselves. Finally, I understand the effect marijuana has on memory, other than just anecdotal information.
The system that they are referring to in the video is called the endocannabinoid system, I believe.

I watched this documentary last night, it was amazing. It also talked about apples, potatoes and tulips. I found it interesting that the author talked about these plants from their perspective as opposed to ours. Plants are truly amazing organisms.
