Have you ever talked to Puff it Up before buying on eBay to check prices? Plus piu is the best all around (unbelievable service, prices, etc.).

alright guys, need some guidance..just got this message yesterday..I've owned my crafty about 6-7 months (purchased in sep 2015) it has about 53 hours on the clock..very very bummed out..I have submitted an RMA request on storz and bickel website and now I guess I"m supposed to wait for them to contact me? I'm getting the red and orange flashing lights when I try to turn on the vape. Sometimes the vape will not flash the red and orange and will act like it's turning on (stay red) but won't heat up..very frustrating as I have taken' great care of this thing since day 1. :( what are my next steps ? - I'm located in cali if that helps.
so they've received my crafty (got the email confirmation) and they said they'd be contacting me in 4-6 business days for the next steps..I have told them I want to upgrade the crafty to the mighty for the extra $60. After a lot of reading and owing my crafty for roughly 6-7 months ( i love it btw) I think it would make more sense to own the mighty. The crafty's battery just plain sucks. I'll get about 2-3 good bowls on it depending on how long I keep them going for(usually 5-10 minutes each bowl at least and that's using the power boost as well) I find myself always charging the damn thing when I'm out and about, it's either always plugged into my car or it's always never w/out it's portable charging bank. The mighty solves all these issues with bigger battery pack (8 bowls instead of 4, so really 6 instead of 3 which is fukin awesome!) and the passive charging?? Worth it's weight in gold right there..to be able to still hit the mighty when it's dead by simply plugging it in?? I'm all in!

I"ve brought the crafty to theme parks and zoos and it is nice for that however I also have to the bring the battery pack and charging cable as well, and by that point its about the same bulk as the mighty would've been w/out the battery pack. I have a grasshopper on the way (hopefully arrives this year) so that will by new stealth unit for out on the town...but for now, I think the mighty is the clear winner, hands down. I can't wait to try one out and compare it to the crafty. Can't wait!

They are VERY reputable, and a listed retailer on this site. Best prices, best service, incredibly fast delivery...

Personally, I'd have had only positive experience with them and I don't remember anyone here having something negative to say.

www.puffitup.com. Go play and have fun!

word, checked it out.. they have a nice little Vape Case cheaper than amazon.. but the rest of the products, specifically the actually vaporizers, are about the same price of all the other vape sites I looked at.

crafty is $340 there, but no tax which is cool.

Puffitup often has discount codes. Got my Crafty for 20% off a few weeks ago, but that may have been for 4/20. I know they give discounts pretty regularly though.

yea looks like they've got a 15% off discount going now.. thats pretty good. but it doesn't look like they can beat this ebay sellers prices http://www.ebay.com/usr/allstarwhlsales?_trksid=p2047675.l2559, https://www.yelp.com/biz/allstar-vape-pomona

not tryin to step on anyones toes, nor am I affiliated with this business.. just thought I'd pass on the knowledge.
Not stepping on my toes. I'm new here so not familiar with the rules, but, personally, I'm not affiliated with anyone. I just like to give recommendations for businesses that go above and beyond what is "normal" these days.

I suggest you call piu before you purchase elsewhere. Let them know what you want and the price you've seen. PIU is very competitive and may meet or beat it (or sweeten the pot with other goodies). Plus, there's a lot to be said for buying from an authorized retailer.

I mailed my crafty to s&b last week, it was basically in perfect condition even though it is over a year old. It only has <20 hours on it, but the usb port stopped working. I am hoping for a new unit, but don't want to pay for a new battery because the hours are so low. If I have to pay, I would rather try out a mighty.

How many bowls per charge were you at with that time? I'm kinda eying a crafty up but the shitty battery life (so I hear) is what detracts me. If I can get 3-4 per charge I'll ultimately be a happy camper

You'll get 3 to 4 bowls on average. Then after some months of use it will be about 3.
Consider a Mighty. It's circuitry charges its' two batteries faster than Crafty charges one on usb, then it proceeds to give you minimum twice as many bowls before next charge is needed. And each of those bowls will reach temperature faster than a Crafty bowl. Controls on-board, no finding phone to make adjustments... the list goes on.
If size of the piece is the only consideration, Crafty wins. Just about every other way, Mighty outshines. I have been hoping to hear some better stories from owners of latest Crafty versions, faster heat up times, etc., but the battery seems to keep being the weakest attribute of this otherwise stellar vape.

Have had my Mighty almost a year and it is still kicking strong! Never had to warranty it, and can get 5 bowls per charge (was able to get 6 when I got it) at 395. Simply was kind of looking for something with a smaller profile.....does seem like the Crafty would be a step back in many respects.

Yes about three bowls, but I usually put it back on charge after one or two. It starts to overheat after two bowls back to back, definitely want to wait before vaping that third bowl. That's the biggest issue for me, is it's not much better than a grasshopper for passing around in a group. Now that I have a GH the mighty's attributes have become more appealing, as I don't have a need for the stealth of the crafty anymore.

Considering one Mighty bowl is usually enough for me (and a group if I'm out) this all bodes kind of well for me personally :)

My bias is that I had three Crafty's (max 4 month life) before getting the Mighty. I did love that thing, but heavier use pattern made Mighty a better fit. Sounds like it will suit your purpose and compliment Mighty just fine.
I've come to look at both of these like they're on a two year lease; that's my expectation of lifespan (read=warranty), and with luck maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised -- especially if I can hone the ol' soldering skills...

I find that I get anywhere from 5-6 bowls per charge, but that is if I'm using it by myself. With two or more people, the battery goes really fast.

I had my first unit for about 7 months before I had to send it in, but I got a brand new unit within a week of sending my busted one out. I'm intrigued by the reports that the mighty is a better unit, but honestly I love my crafty (flaws and all) and hope that they fix all of the issues in the coming years because the size makes it incredibly stealthy and easy to carry in my pocket. Also, the lack of physical buttons isn't a big deal, I never have to change my temperature settings so it doesn't really matter.

i was reading somewhere on S&B site
they designed mighty first..then decided to make it a little brother ..for stealth
so battery/display had to be sacrificed

which i guess is what everyones saying ..its only really worth getting for maximum stealth

tho thats exactly why ive got it

edit

Btw
dont all lithium batteries last about 500 recharge cycles?
(..im no expert)

Whats a muzzmod? seen it mentioned...
Ask again in the Mighty thread!
Idk if many Crafty users use muzzmod? Sure, it will fit and work fine, but frequent high temps sessions might be a recipe for Crafty disaster.
Muzzmod (see @elmomuzz ) lets you eliminate the c/u (except for its mounting point) and makes a virtually direct male glass connection on top of Mighty's or Crafty's heat chamber. Also see adapter from Vapefiend in UK, though reportedly not without it's own flaws...

Thanks...I am an ex toker who's never really been into the bong thing...used to prefer to rolll a joint and just smoke that, also as the kids were growing up, a bong just looks wrong in the house

I dont have a problem with vapor heat...however i have bought the Budgie bubbler and trying to get used to that with Vapefiends adaptor...not sure i am using right though!!!
