Received my black FF2 today!

I ordered on 2/29.

Much smaller and lighter than I anticipated. Seems well built

One battery charged, the second now charging. I'm using my external charger from FF1.

I don't think I'll be using the charging dock much, if at all, but I was also disappointed that it didn't come with a wall plug for the USB cable.

Does anyone know if any USB wall plug will work?

Also no carrying bag like the one that came with FF1. I will need to find something to keep the new baby in.

agree with Mitchgo's experience, only haven't tried concentrates yet! I'm impressed to say the least, but there's still something special with the original I don't yet feel! Something about the weight, and metal mouthpiece, a more direct connection. Its very subtle, its like a classic sport car, and then ff2 is the modern carbon fiber magnesium sport car which is a tech marvel. I must be too high from this FF2!

Looks like black was the way to go for some no matter when you ordered. I am putting stuff into my memory banks of you maiden voyagers until I get my new blue FF2.

Quick question for those who were lucky enough to get one. How much of an odor does the FireFly2 give off? Is it comparable to the Solo, which imo gives off very little odor or more like the Pax, which gives off a strong odor.

I would also like to hear anybody's input regarding the odor of the Firefly2. I have a Crafty and it has a very mild odor. Hoping the FF2 is comparable in that regard.

With the lid closed, it's pretty much odorless. There's a bit of odor when you remove the lid. Nothing active or consistent like a conduction vape, including the P2. I don't have a Crafty but the FF2 has less odor than the Mighty (which barely has any itself). Again, odorless with the lid closed.

Thanks mitchgo! I would imagine the Mighty and Crafty are near identical when it comes to odor, so that's pretty awesome.

Relax my friend, it will come before you know it and will be well worth it! What colour did you order, because the blue and gold units have been delayed by 5 days (not including shipping time)
Hope you receive yours soon if you do decide to go ahead with it ;)

I must be missing something. If people ordered AHEAD of you, why wouldn't they get theirs before you?

FYI these are the first devices to ship, period. As I understand it they are going out to folks who pre-ordered. Like you. So what's the problem?

Yeah, some relaxation is key, though as an as yet unshipped red unit preorder from March 1st, I definitely share in some of this frustration. It does just seem obvious that getting the first unit available was more important to me as a day 1 (public) preorder than the color of the unit. If I knew I could have paid the same amount for my unit a full three weeks later than I actually ponied up, and receive my unit _sooner_ that's what I would have done.

Seemed pretty clear to me that he had messed up his language there and meant they ordered after him. You know, based on the above context of Mar 21 orders shipping.

Pretty sure he meant BEHIND. Looks like he ordered 3/02. There were a number of posts...almost successively of folks that ordered 3/18-3/21ish that received shipping confirmations yesterday (me being 1 of them).
I would suggest a simple email or phone call to firefly asking for a status update. While FF has been incredible with their communication...it's not completely unheard of that something could fall through the cracks. So while I can understand rushs disappointment....I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation and would suggest keeping calm....life's too bloody short...

I read what he wrote. I didn't cross-reference it with dates in previous posts.

The pre-orders started on Feb 29 and ended several weeks later. Everyone who ordered in that four week period is getting something from the first batch. Was there a guarantee that all devices would be shipped in strict first-ordered, first-sent basis regardless of color or geographical locale?

I guess I missed that too.

I pulled the trigger on a bit of an impulse preorder on March 31 and was very surprised to see a shipping email yesterday! The FF2 is on the way set to arrive Thursday! I just got a Grasshopper, so it will be interesting being able to compare the two. I'm trying to convince myself that I don't have VAS and that I have been waiting for the best units out there. Hopefully I prove myself right. :lol:

I think I'll be all set now though. The EVO for home, the GH for stealth/on the go, and the FF2 for around the house or in situations where less stealth is required! Life is good! To be honest, I haven't been reading this thread much because I didn't think I'd get it this early. Time to catch up!

Same here.
Can't order yet as in in the UK.

Have the Evo and Grasshopper, love them both.
Also have the Air which I want to replace with the Firefly 2.
Really gone off the Air since I got my GH.

Think with those three vapes I'll be properly covered. :-)
