There is a shallow indent where the cork fits in on the bottom making it more difficult to mod since you sort of have to have the exact size (unless you do it inbetween the spots).

I'll still be looking to do it if I can find some rubber feet the right size. I'm not a fan of the aesthetics of the cork and the way I use my nano with a bong I'm constantly looking at the bottom.

Ah finally got my nano in! I'm still blown away at how small the unit is...like seriously. The texture and finish of the maple burl is stunning. Took a little long to arrive due to the 420 sale and the crazy influx of orders they received around the same time as mine, but Carisa over at Epicvape kept me in the loop the whole time, always responded within a few hours of me sending them emails. Five star customer service for sure. Couldn't be happier!

Now I did have a question for some of you nano pros out there. It's said you can vape concentrates in it, but for the life of me I can't imagine how. Any pointers?

I have taken to mixing crumble with ground flower as it is easy and not too messy. You can also put the concentrate in a bit of organic cotton (or hemp which I haven't tried) and put that in the stem

Yeah, like @CalyxSmokr said. I've read people sandwhiching concentrates between some herb, on organic cotton/de gummed hemp or also on steel wool.

If using concentrates and are worried about concentrates dripping down into the nano's heater use the nano up side down like with a j hook or a bubbler.

I find when using cannabis with a little wax or shatter in the middle like a sandwich the herb does a pretty good job of absorbing the concentrates.

Over a year ago, I started work on a press to make my own screens at home. Unfortunately plastic wasn't optimal for the stresses involved in forming metal. So I shelved the project for a while. Finally I was fed-up with reusing the same basket screens all the time, and I restarted the project.

These should work well with the nano stem for concentrates.

They should. I haven't used these but similar, but I think you want to pull it apart a little and mash it up anyway. You could just dab your concentrate around the donut, but I'd want to get rid of that hole in the middle. I'd still use a layer of herb underneath until you see what your particular dab is doing with the nano. IME some may cling to a meshy mess like this, others drip through after a good couple heats. Again, haven't used this exact brand or shape, but they are usually easy to squeeze and shape with a pair of pliers.

Btw, I used the 420 sale code, but no FC codes. Had read there are advantages for FC members (extended warranty?) but may be too late for this purchase. If so, any info for future reference?

Have enjoyed reading this forum, and am really looking forwrd to my new nano!

For most nanos 8.5 would be way too hot for flowers. Most folks are somewhere in the temp 5 or 6 range somewhere. Temperatures will vary.

The j hook and a cannabis shatter sandwich works really well. The nano is used up side down and no worry about any oil dripping down into the oven. The cotton method works well too. Glad you guys are finding what works for you.

It's all good with the nano.

Hemp fiber is nice, too. I hate that burnt cotton taste you get if not very careful. Hemp's not as bad with that. It can be found on some e-cig mod sites and @VapCap just started selling it on his site here. Also, some very nice and inexpensive portable vapes over there! Check out the FC thread for those if you're looking for something to use on the go.

Anymore I prefer the mesh pads. I have a few from different vape manufacturers, but no real favorite. I chop them up and roll them up to make a little pad about the same depth as a nano screen. Use with an inverted nano into my j-hook or small bubbler. If you pay attention, you can stop before drips go too far and scrape out the reclaim, or pull your mesh ball and flip the j-hook around trying to catch it all as it goops this way and that while evaporating. Probably not the most effective way to dab, but fun and by that point I'm usually pretty tuned up! :smug:

I don't really clean the mesh balls. Just put them in the nano at super high heat and try to drain them dry. When there's nothing left I hit it with a butane jet, rinse in ISO and then hot water.

We all like different way's however if you have a way that works for you!

I like cotton and use a very small piece in relation to my chip of SHATTER.
FINN'S is a decent brand.
Even Cotton from a vitamin bottle will work.
The COTTON should be free of additives.

NANO's work well this way I find.

I was doing DAB's last night and was devastated. (had insomnia)

The NANO is on 24/7 ready for completing my day (flowers this time)

Variety is the spice of life!

I normally avoid concentrates, but I had a little bit of shatter the other month. I used it through my enano and was pleasantly surprised.

I don't see myself using wax-like concentrates very much. I just think I would get too used to it and then require a greater daily intake than I want to consume.

I enjoy flowers, but have had an affinity for dry sift hash like Moroccan hash in the past. The last time I had hash it was when I still combusted. I did enjoy the flavor of hash back in the day. Has anyone used the nano to vape this type of hash? If you smoked it in the past, can you make any comparisons with vaping? The flavor might be better, but does it still have that hash flavor?

I imagine I could just buy some 120 mesh screen and a kief press and make some myself.

I have, and it is fun but can get a bit messy in the glass. Easier, and almost as good, is if you take your sifted kief and sprinkle a bit on top of a small ground load. The load will usually go longer, with the first few hits being amazing!

Plenty of other ways to go about it, though.

That's a good way to use hashish in the vape. I've used it once, in my EQ rather than my nano. It's better to put it on top of a ground load of bud. I mean, that's also because it's a good way of vaping any concentrate. I preferred a small dab on a load of herb over the cotton. Flavor wise, it was best on the cotton though, just for tasting the dab.
