@AJS What's your thoughts on comparing them? Does the vapman give you any funny tastes with the herb? Personally, I've only tried vapman with some hash which it totally ripped it like a monster but not with some green where I've heard that it's not that nice. Maybe though, through a glass would be more than fine. Anyway, the Lotus bloody rocks!! Cheers!!

With flower, and proper technique, the vapman can produce better flavor and more hits off less herb than the Lotus. The Lotus obviously hits harder due to the constant heat source that is almost impossible to out power. Lotus is a compact heavy hitter and vapman is a compact sipper. I would never have strictly just a vapman, but paired with a Lotus means I'm set for almost any situation.

This piece became such after some "improvisation". You can be sure he will find a way to give you satisfaction, really responsive and paying attention to what you want : nice CS I can't say anything bad.
It's really comfortable : I can rotate the stem 360° around. It's in 3 different pieces.
I'll try to shoot a pic unmounted later (I forgot).
The wood is just amazing, and it does look really nice standing on the desk.
I'll make some more pictures with the Lotus on it.. later.

I use some fine woods and it's quite a precision game to adjust each part tight enough.
I'm not a manufacturer for the moment but, if some people are interested, considering the time passed and the quality of the wood, I think a price around 85 usd should be fair.
I began working on the wood stem because I found the aluminium stem too cold and I'm a wood lover, so it was an evidence for me to combine the warmth of the wood and his esthetics to use my lotus, a such wonderful tool!

Yes I find it more satisfying for home use at least !
As Aezhenn said, there is more of a warm feeling though it does cool the vapor enough ! It's much more soft on the lips let's say... Plus the feeling of wood on fingers, the joy and organic feeling you get from it ...
At first I even noticed a difference in the vapor feedback and was going too high in temp. But after 2,3 loads I got the feeling and I manage the "wood-delay". The taste is surprisingly really good and pure after you've done 2 or 3 loads.
I now use only glass and wood at home and keep the al-stem for outdoor : concerts, etc...
Later I'll show pictures of the 2 ... One will be exclusively touching my lips ! The other one I'll take out sometimes and share..
Now I want to grab it ahaha...

Sorry for the crooked image, my bad lol. Love the old school turquoise cap, it has a very vintage feel to it, like it was THE vape of the 50's, ha.

Just curious, why do you wanna switch to a high temp cap? I'm looking to purchase my own lotus for the 4/20 sale, but having a hard time deciding to get the original or high tempIt's been a little over a week now with my Lotus.

Just for a backup really, and to experiment with it.
I vape a lot of bubble, so i think the hi-temp cap would be better suited for that due to longer heat-soak times.

I got in on the Lotus 420 sale today. I CAN NOT WAITTTTT to Give it a spin. I'll be waiting with bated breath until that sweet set up arrives at my door step.
I chose the high temp cap and wpa thinking that it will be my primary vape for hash.

I wanted to say thanks to all the love in the lotus thread, I have owned my lotus for over a year and couldn't be happier with it, no issues, no fuss, no electricity lol. I do tend to have accidental combustion but it's 100% my fault trying to milk the glass too much
Overall the Lotus is the best vaporizer I have ever used, massive clouds and low tech.
All I bought was the cap + WPA and xtra screens and never regretted it 1 bit.

I would not be shy then, heat the plate with tip of flame (<2sec) and back up a bit..wait 3sec... Then only start to inhale. I generally press my hash in "pancake" and put it on some green bed to make a few melts then take it of and mix, grind, stir... sometime I even add some more herb and it is endless clouding ...
Another tech' : I use a second screen higher in the bowl and vape it pure or with herb under.

So got my lotus on wenesday and been using almost exclusively since. Such an awesome little vape and great for hooking up to the bong and being able to bring it where ever I want. Also it white walls the bong better then any of my other vapes. When first got was actually suprised by the bowl size. How every one was talking thought be a lot smaller then it is. Guess this isnt a bad thing as lotus works amazing with just a tiny pinch. The zico lighter it comes with is awesome. Love this lighter. Hefty and very solid. This biggest issue I seem to be having with the lotus is that, no matter how much a pack in it, I'm killing bowls in one hit. Usually when I pack more I like it to last for a while but can't seem to get past one nice hit and one charing hit. This isn't so horrible because as I said before, does amazing on tiny loads. So basically I e been using it one hitter style. All in all very happy with my purchase and like to thank max for an amazing device
Edit: forgot to add, kinda sad got the j hook kit. Really got for the wpa, but realize I'm not going to take the j hook out and about due to fear of shattering it and around the house have a bong to use it with. So yea think should of got aluminum stem so could take it out and about with me. Though j hook is nice and least have one now that can use with other vapes such as my UNDERDOG!!!!

I dont really like using the jhook
I dont mind it dry, it just feels clumsy and weak.
Lotus excels through a bubbler with water imo. So tasty.
