Discontinued The Grasshopper

I got a Ti Hopper from Vapefiend and couldn't be more impressed.

Anywhere from heat level 1 to ~3.5 is ready in 3 seconds and 4/5 in about 4 seconds. Absolutely incredible. I get bigger clouds with the GH than I do desktop vapes.

I have also been loading it with concentrates wrapped in cotton and it works really great. No mess and amazing flavor. I think I prefer it over my enail.

2nd warranty return underway. This time the issue is that it won't turn off, clicking it on and off just makes the lights go crazy, and the only way to power off is to remove the backend and take the battery out. Has anyone else seen this kind of behavior?

I've never heard of that issue

TI GH from the classifieds has landed! I'm literally trembling with excitement as I open it. It feels like a dream that I've been having every night for years has finally come true haha! Lots of testing to come!

Edit: First Draw = Amazing! More to come later...

Edit 2: I usually ramble and am trying to be brief so I can keep testing, but I can't help it. Quick first impressions: I actually found it easy to pack. Heat up time is like everyone says. Vapor is really thick. I don't have another portable to compare it to (I had the Pinnacle years ago, but honestly can't remember enough to compare). It's not as good as taste as my Evo, but that is expected. Other than that I've only taken two draws so far and I'm feeling good!

Last Edit I Promise! : One bowl down and I'm amazed. I'll need to find my desired starting and ending temps as this beast is able to extract every bit out of the material I used. I found the vapor to be quite tolerable (but not necessarily desirable) on max temp.

Nice to see that you're enjoying it mate!

But probably not if you want a Hopper for a reasonable price in the near future.

So my GH was on a brief hiatus, about a month that it wasn't in use. I used it the other night and now the the GH doesn't seem to be charging (red lights come on for a second when you initially plug it in, and then stops). I don't believe it's charging, can someone point me towards a decent battery charger? I'd rather not have to send it in.

The Nitecore D2/D4 is very popular here (depending how many bays you need 2 or 4).

I got it because people confirmed it worked here and because the charge rate can be dropped to as low as 150ma (optional mode).
Slower charge rates will be kinder to your battery.

No issues with mine so far.
Other than wishing they had a 6 Bay
Use it for my 18650's now too.

Decided the Grasshopper was a better fit for my vaping style and went to buy one. Ship date August 2016? Wow.

What gives? Is there trouble in paradise?

yeah this vape got a bit to popular for its own good so they have both been working out kinks in their beta units (kickstarter new company) and they been trying to catch up to hell off a lot of back orders in the last months but I been stalking this vape for some time now and bought a preorder in March hoping to get it in August but seams like I am getting it in July

THIS is the grasshopper fan-person way ! patient and a lot off it

Just received mine today!! It took it less than 20 days from Gearbest. I'm not sure if they send it from their warehouse in China or the EU one.
I haven't used it yet but it looks pretty nice! The LED screen is quite big and the overall feeling of the product is good.
The setup is complete, unless I find other related gadgets to buy until the GH arrives :p

I think I never been as ready for a vape like the grasshopper because I bought; charger, powerbank, new hydrotube, portable solar panel and a Pelican case to fit stuff in + looking into a new courser grinder and a smaller case for daily carry while the other one is for long hiking trips

its like your first born baby, fixing up a baby room and having everything ready for your baby to show up

Hahaha... Your setup is much better than mine!
I'm up for that power bank sooner or later (there you go, sth that I forgot already :p ) and the solar panel seems really tempting! Then I wonder if there will ever be an excuse of running out of energy again! LOL

And I'm sure that all of us that don't have any experiences of having and looking after a baby, we will gain some very serious knowledge!! Imagine the care the GH will be getting so that it doesn't fall down... :o :p :D

thanks your stuff is just as cool :D, that panel is an awesome camping idea but I feel like a powerbank is nearly must have for portable vapes and yeah that they work with "pass through charging" ... now I wonder if the GH could even do pass-through-charging while being powered by powerbank ? it got to be right ?

Well I'm on day three/four with the hopper (things have gotten a bit blurry ;)). I wanted to write up a more in-depth review, but I feel that most of the things that I would have said have been covered by other hopper owners. I've had a very positive experience so far! I haven't really measured battery life and would be mainly speculating, so I'll pass on going in to more detail in that area for now. I'll just say that with four batteries total and a D4 charger, I'm not too worried.

I would say there is a small learning curve in regards to optimal use for the individual or group using the hopper. This is mainly load size and how you want to surf temps. I've found that anywhere from a medium-light to medium-full pack (relative to bowl size) gives me the desired results. I personally prefer to start at 3 o'clock on the temp dial and turn it up as I see fit throughout the session to around 4.5 o'clock max. I'll set it to 5 o'clock on the temp dial occasionally, but I usually don't need it that hot because I don't prefer my material quite as spent.

I have repurposed a traditional oil pen case for use with my hopper and it is perfect for my use! I can fit the hopper, a small brush, 4 batteries (one inside of the hopper itself), the silicone mouthpiece, a doob tube or two, and the Crafty/Mighty CU with the FW 3.0 mouthpiece. Additionally or alternatively, I can carry a MFLB glass mouthpiece in there for use for vapor/mouthpiece cooling as well. I have found both of these cooling methods nice and useful, but definitely not necessary. That being said, I would have to agree with the sentiment that this is not really a session vape in my opinion. I feel that it could be used that way, but this things really shines for getting a monster rip or two and then "set and forget" until the next time I desire a pull or two. The effects from this are awesome, so it usually at least a little bit until I am reaching for it again.

Here I am ranting again :D.

Edited quickly for better clarity in one sentence.
