There is one primary difference unless Ratchett has completley changed the design of his Mighty mod. The Muzzmod does NOT use the bottom half of the CU. Ratchett's mod requires the bottom half of the CU to remain attached. That means you have to clean the bottom half of the CU periodically which is no big deal. The Muzzmod does not use the CU, only the disc that connects the CU to the Mighty or Crafty. With the Muzzmod there is no CU to clean; periocially its a good idea to clean the inside of the glass connector, but it doesn't get very dirty.

Ratchett has a 420 sale going on right now...He is giving away a free SonG adapter of your choice with a $10 purchase. That includes the SonG for the Mighty. He also has all plastic and vinyl on sale for 25% off, and free shipping on orders of $25 or more. Ratchett's merchandise is ingenious, and his company is a pleasure to do business with.

For anyone that needs it, here is a link to Ratchett's store: https://delta3dstudios.com/

Thanks for the clarification. I just placed an order for the Mighty CU mod and a stand from @Ratchett.

It'll be mated up to my first glass water piece that is on its way here.

What is a muzzmod? I've done multiple searches on this site and everyone just references the mod. I've yet to ever see a picture or product description, only that it is a good mod for the mighty.

I'm just getting around to making some MuzzMods. Here's the start of my first one. Full Mighty CU sits next to it to show orientation.
It's the most direct /compact water pipe adapter but a pain to make. I have not attached the glass yet, took a break as the first piece always takes forever.

Might have a couple to sell or trade if I opt to make three or four.

Are there any sales going on for 4/20 week that makes this worth getting? This is tempting my VAS but I don't use portable's too much and am more or less happy with my Arizer Solo with new high capacity battery. I saw some 20% off coupons come through my email and if it works I think this would be $320 (American prices). That still seems high for this. I have a lot of reading to do in this thread to see if I even want this but since 4/20 is tomorrow I don't want to miss out on any good sales. I know there is a sales thread but I am looking specifically at this vape.

Got my mighty back today...they actually sent a new one, but i'm still sour on S&B...I actually enjoy using the muzzmod (thanks @subway13029) without a Waterpipe. Still like daisy's muscle a little more...eh.

Like your pics! Thanks.
I've made two muzzmods. The first failed after a couple of dozen uses, but the second has held up beyond a hundred now. The difference was the glass. I can't say if that glass made the difference, but it is the only real change I made from first to second.
If these are your first muzzmods, I humbly suggest a couple of trials before you send these out to folks.

First glass was very nice piece http://oregonglassblower.com/18-14mm-Glass-Reducer-Adapter-18m-14F-18-14red.htm and well made, but at it's bottom, it is square-cornered where it meets the c/u. Building the 'weld' of epoxy left not much option but to taper the thickness of the epoxy to a thin edge. This thin edge eventually curled (from heat) away from the glass and resin started to leak out.

The second glass was a piece sold as an MFLB adapter. http://www.vapeworld.com/magic-flight-launch-box-19mm-glass-filter and it has a curved bottom. This one has worked out better for some reason. The expoxy does not taper to a thin edge with this glass; it has a'channel' it's applied into. Is this the difference between success and failure? I don't know for sure, but my experience is that this is so.

I used JB Weld "Original Cold Weld Formula", not 5 min. since the original has a higher temp. rating, 550F. Applied with a tooth pick.

I really enjoy using this mod. Simple and very effective. I do wish you the best. Just wanted to be sure you know that the success rate is less than 100%. Others have reported theirs coming apart, too.

@biohacker , how have yours been holding up? They did look nice! btw, congrats on your fast (and on ending it!), how did you schedule that so perfectly?

A question, when I clean the inside chamber of the mighty, can I turn the heat on with an empty chamber? Lets say for 2 or 3 minutes, Just to make sure whatever I cleaned it with has evaporated, without being concerned that I can damage my unit.

It's a thermostat controlled vape so it's not like it will over heat. It will burn through your battery though, as you are letting a lot of heat escape from the chamber.

Sure. Even with cooling unit removed, you can run it.
You can also turn it on before cleaning to warm and aid that process.
Likewise, before cleaning cooling unit, let the unit warm it up (like, with a session is best!).
If you can use 99% iso alcohol or even 91%, there should not be much residue. I don't think you should be using any type of "product" for the cleaning that would leave anything behind. If so, look to eliminate that from the process and then there's no worries.

I know high grade iso would be ideal, but I dont know, I have a bad reaccion to using iso, no matter how little I use, how many times I rinse it, if I evaporate or help it by using a blowdrier. Contents contained are water and 91 or 99 iso. After that I made the mistake of using dishwashing detergent on one of my vape stems and after 6 months I realized it was leaving residue. Now, I just use vinegar and lemon juice to clean my vape equipment.

What ratio of vinegar to lemon juice do you use and do you cut it down with any water?

They are both like new still, but these were heavy duty constructed mods, and I honestly haven't completely torture tested them, so time will tell, although I don't think there will be any problems. Thanks, honestly the timing just kind of happened...I was planning on fasting until the end of the month, but all my side effects went away, and it was just "time". Not sure i'll ever put my body and brain through that again though. Wow, probably one of the hardest things i've ever done in my life, not from a willpower perspective either, just physical withdrawal. So glad to be back! And wow, 1/2 the day is nearly over and I still haven't busted out the Mighty. Time to change that soon!

I dont really mix it, but I use straight vinegar first, with a qtip or if its glass I submerge it, of course keeping in mind any rubber parts, as vinegar itself is an acid can possibly degrade things, then I rinse out with warm water, I then use lemon juice and go over the parts it gives it a good fresh smell and taste and I rinse with warm water.

Now Ive read that warming up lemon juice, either by microwave or stove, or primarily the lemon peels in water transforms it into a good cleaning agent.

CS update. Took 1 day to get approval from S$B for RMA. Sent label and I returned today. So far so good.
Will see if the CS is any better than the Raiders. :)

You know what works excellent to clean dirty stems and stuff...Good ole bar soap and a toothbrush or bottle brush (depending on what pieces your cleaning. Try it sometime...I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Most bar soaps are high in fat, so they work great on dirty glass.

After you've had a chance to try it, please let me know what you think.

Am I missing something? What is the issue with ISO? I also just picked up some Simple Green for my glass, which is supposed to work wonders. I've had varying success with PBW, but for my Mighty it's always just a quick ISO q-tip (never really needs cleaning), and for the CU the ziplock in ISO in a hot water bath cleans it to like new.

Did a micro .05g in the Mighty last night with the pad on top and using Ratchett's SonG! Flawless! Wife prefer the SonG over the Muzzmod, simply because of the added cooling/filtering of the CU.... I must say it was very smooth and tasty! Perfect brown extraction!

I use Simple Green to clean my 'tray' and it works very well for that, and my daughter likes it around the kitchen cause it's food safe for countertops, etc. Use it sparingly, it can be diluted with water and still work very well. Just has so much smells in it I'm a little turned off, and @biohacker I know you're not using it to clean inside of vape, but I hope no one else tries to either!

I've been rotating through 4 or 5 ways of using the Mighty and the sheer variety keeps it interesting, so we lose track of 'favorites'. Muzzmod directly into downtube/showerhead/water/silicone whip. Crafty cooling unit with domed screen, silicone (with or w/out SonG) tubing to water. Mighty cooling unit straight up is actually refreshing after the more intense hits thru water, and so much less encumbered by paraphernalia. Mighty standing on @Ratchett stand (glow in dark! great accessory) for filling and while set beside water piece just seems natural. And that's just the Mighty! We break out the Pax2 every now and then and appreciate its' strong points; carry that in pocket and hardly know it's there!

Sorry to run on....I'm still in infatuation stage with Mighty, well over a year in now with Crafty's/Mighty!

I would never try to use SG in the Mighty, heck I hate using the magic eraser in there, although I rinse really well with ISO and then water, and throw it in the dishwasher for extra good measure! lol

Do you think that SG rinses off well for my water tools, I would hate there to have a coating or something remain...I do rinse really really well, but to be honest I still haven't even tried it. I just have a huge jug of heavy duty purple SG in the garage that I bought on sale a little while back, but then took my t-break so everything has just been sitting clean.

I completely agree with you about the Crafty/Mighty infatuation.....it MUST be LOVE by now though!!!

Great deal in the classifieds for anyone looking for a Mighty!

Simple green isn't something I would use to clean things if one could use a product that evaporates with no trace like iso. It might be a solvent for oils like alcohol but I don't want to be inhaling it.

Same here, but my plan was to rinse with 99$ ISO and then hot water. The entire reason I bought it was because I saw that VXL would dip their HT's in a bucket filled with the stuff for quick cleaning. Ah well, worst case I use it for something else around the house, if I detect a film or taste.

Just got my Mighty in the mail and I love it. It vapes the bud so fast and so evenly. I'm used to 15 minute sessions with my Air, the Mighty did the same load in about 8 minutes

Yea simple green is probably best used for soaking or scrubbing but should be rinsed off. I use it to wash my car wheels and tires too!

Not to derail this thread too much but I use a concentrated SG solution in a big plastic bin and soak all my glass pieces in there. I find that once I go over about 5 sessions there is a haze that starts to form on my glass. If I push it beyond 15 sessions then it takes at least a day of soaking to come out clean. If I push it to where there is visible honey starting to form in the glass then SG might not remove it all.

I don't think SG works very well for quick soaking. It might work for dunking HT's between sessions but I would not push it beyond that.

Hey guys, was wondering if there was any way to find out the age of my mighty without the serial number? I got one recently from the classified but the sticker had been removed :\ It isn't reinforced so I figure it's the old model, I just want to try to figure it out so I can send it in before the warranty expires... Thanks in advance for any help!

Oh yeah @EVlL 55 's Mighty. Just ask him. S&B won't know without a serial number. You can probably send it in to have them look at it.
