I am diagnosed with three different inflammatory diseases, all of which cause considerable pain. I took 800 mg. of ibuprofen for 20 years and rotted my guts. So for the last eight months, Ive just been kind of gritting my teeth. Am exhausted and mean! All I can find here is an indica hybrid which helps some, but not enough.

A friend of mine is visiting her sister in Washington state. She offered to find something to help me, but does not want to carry on the plane. Can't blame her. Is there a safe, discreet method of mailing stuff?

I am afraid I'm going to get in trouble for this thread... :o

Never lost anything yet.

I heard Fed-Ex was bud-friendly. And then I heard it wasn't! But the vacuum seal is a good idea. She will have to buy something up there. Any suggestions? Did you put a return address on your pkg?

Sorry to rain on everybody's parade but it's a federal crime to mail cannabis. It's not worth the risk even though WA is a legal state. I would hate for you to get arrested and have to do time in a federal institution (prison). Or for that matter getting your sister in trouble.

Your sister would be better off driving her car to another state with it in a CVault, I hear police would need a search warrant to open it up. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I too was on ibuprofen for 20 years. its bad on your body when you are on it long term. It does a number on your kidneys as well. I can no longer take any anti inflammatories for my arthritis throughout my body.

FWIW when I mail stuff I tend to use the same 'return' address as 'to' address... You might wanna make 100% sure on where it's going tho...

PS - in Canada legal cannabis is distributed via the mail system. Our regs are federal, and so is the post office, so far it works well. Non-legal dispensaries, on the other hand, may be jumped on. It's pretty silly, and could very well be the base for a new Monty Python musical...

Although I personally would never take the risk, its of my opinion the USPS is pretty lax with that kind of stuff. If you vaccum seal things properly they don't take up that much space. That said, the idea of finding a medium where it wouldn't look suspicious (idk if the mail system xrays), definitely would put me off to it.

I knew a guy in college who got concentrates just inbetween pages of a magazine.....wherever he got it would send a few magazines in a big envelope or small box, but they were just double sided parchment papered up in between random pages. I haven't talked to the guy in a long time, but as far as I know he's still alive and well and not in jail or anything?? He moved back home (he was from California), but he did this for at least 2-3 years.

If you do go the mailing route, just make it look like any other package so that it blends in and avoid any red flags that make it stand out. Use a vacuum sealer (get it somewhere with a decent return policy ;)), don't overtape it, use a real return address with a fake return name, and use a USPS non-overnight option. USPS is usually better than the private couriers since I believe they can't open parcels below a certain weight without a a warrant.

Reality is so annoying. You guys have scared me off. I'll be dead and gone by the time MM is available in Texas! I used to be young and reckless, but gettin' up there has made me less so.

I appreciate everyone's input. Still thinking about it, but it's an 80/20 decision now.

No way to get any seeds! And I live in Texas & have a house keeper who is JW. Not lookin' too good for growing. Need to visit Willie Nelson.

Don't think we're allowed to talk about cultivation, but a few minutes on Google will give you a beevy of websites that will supposedly ship seeds to you in the US, supposedly very safe and authentic. I personally would feel less sketchy about doing this than sending actual drugs in the mail.

Or, you could take the drive to a legal state and try to buy some seeds OTC. Not sure how that works or how quality they are.

Well, my buddy called & said she mailed a bunch of stuff to herself, and her neighbor got the package off the porch with no issues at all. She used USPS and a lot of ground coffee. I guess you never know.... :shrug:

Am still going to look into getting seeds.

Could ask around, never know what you might find. I've given plants to my girlfriends parents hairdresser because she wanted to try it for her cancer, but didn't know where to acquire it.

Who knows what people are just a shade of separation away?

It is interesting to realize that PLU's (people like us) are sometimes just a couple of doors down, so to speak.

Oh man, I've been taking 800 MG ibprofens for while, just one a day usually. I stopped taking it a few weeks ago to see the difference...WOW..get ready for minor withdrawls lol.

In january I was prescribed a 'stronger' anti inflammatory called Mobic....i looked online for the side effects....i never picked up my prescription.

You made a wise decision. Eatrocks. I've been sick for 30 years and in a lot of pain the whole time. So I wasn't as wise as you. I took those NSAIDS (including Mobic) for over 20 years. Caught up with me; my guts are a mess, and I may have liver damage, too. Have always been a fan of weed, so I finally figured out that I should be using it medicinally. I still enjoy it for fun as well, though! :D

I wish you the best in finding whatever works for you. It's a journey, for sure!

Well i stopped cold turkey with the nsaids...then started taking them again....sigh. the sciatic nerve pain I have feels like a knive in my ass

for people in this thread- look at boosting your cannabis medicating with black pepper compounds or D-limonene compounds. black peeper is especially effective in boosting the anti inflammatory properties in cannabis
