Discontinued The Grasshopper

Ive bought a ti from vapefiend and few weeks ago. Use it daily and i have no problems. However i rarely use it with a bubbler and almost never on full heat.

Mine hasnt skipped a beat but i can see how ripping it on full heat with a bubbler all the time would put a LOT of stress on the unit. I gets very hot when you do this and i wouldn't recommend it.

Personally i dont see the need for a bubbler as for me its not a home unit. I have better options in the comfort of my own home.

I use it how i see it was intended, out and about having a few sneaky tokes. For this it is a total game changer. I pretty much vape anywhere now. And it just looks like an ecig.

Flavour is great on low settings due to short airpath but gets hotter as you bump it up but this is the price you pay for a small form factor.

The ti is scratched to fuck already.

All in all as a stealthy portable instant heat vape it is defo a game changer but not for all round usage.

Edit .. is the registration page working yet on the website?

It's working for me. Log in & go to 'Account' and then select 'Your Grasshopper'.

I can see the registration page with my Hopper already registered & the option to register additional units.

Clicking the 'Register +' button opens a new dialog with options to enter your Hopper's serial number & ID code.

Is this happening for you?

Besides the original leather cover/ stainless steel case, have any of you guys figured out a creative way for a cheap case for the hopper? I'm looking at the Ryot hard case in large. Figure I could fit in the hopper with 2 big vials and extra batteries in there. Any other suggestions for cases?

This is the one I picked up, it seems like everyone had a similar idea as to what would work best!

I picked up this holster up at the recommendation of another member. Been using it frequently for the GH or a small e-cig. It has a magnetic closure that works pretty well. I did super glue the belt clip in, felt a little loose for my comfort.
The GH fits great:

Yes! you found the "Easter egg" feature or the Ti, the weight difference is such that the Ti mouthpiece can balance on its nose while the SS can't

I got a shipping confirmation for Bronze Ti, maybe not a lot of people before me got Bronze? I know Vapefiend never got any bronze ones when he was selling colored Ti's or I would've got that color not Purple. I have to say though, as a big Lakers fan I'm really loving the purple Ti.

Ohh man... although not a Lakers fan, Kobe WILL BE missed from the courts!!
(ps: I got a purple Ti nevertheless.. :lol::D )

I found one on ebay that is great alternative to the stock leather sleeve and this one covers the GH all the way past the clicker (unlike stock). I like the extra protection so that it doesn't matter which way it's dropped it will be fine.

It has a soft inner lining and might be pleather (not an issue for me, but it has that Shiney pleather look).

It also fits the GH snuggly so that it won't fall out easily but is still easy enough to pull out.

$6.80!!!

Please excuse the dust in the photo, I had it in my pocket all night and didn't realise until after I uploaded.

P.S. stainless steel review coming soon... (after more testing hehehhe)

Just tried it now, surprisingly, yes it does fit the GH with silicone mouthpiece attached!

Although with the silicone mouthpiece attached, it is a little harder to put in and take out.

I find with the MP attached if you pinch the stitched edge of the case with the opposing edge, it makes it easier to insert + remove.

Great, thanks a lot! I might consider this one. The brown one looks also quite nice with a lot of hopper colors I imagine. At that price point almost a no brainer... Then again I don't like stuff likely made by kids.. Gives me a bad feeling. Tend to @Ratchett s leather case/pouch.. Quality made and I know where it's coming from. Of course, different price.

Hey Gang...

So, it's been a little over two months since I received my Grey Ti 'Hopper. I've had enough time to evaluate this vape and I've got to say that it is definitely a game changer.

Unlike many stories over the months of GH's failing multiple times, mine has performed flawlessly. And, I've become extremely spoiled with the heat-up time for this unit. I also believe that I'm not returning to conduction vapes (personal choice). I just love the speed of heat-up and the efficiency of extraction with this convection vape!

Flavor is fantastic from 2 on the dial and clouds are abundant from 3 up and complete white walling of my glass from 3.5 up.

As an aside, I've never tried using the included charger since receiving my 'Hopper. I have a 4 battery Luc, and this charger has performed flawlessly for my (4) batteries.

I absolutely love the portability, and combined with Ratchett's leather case (love it), it fit's perfectly in the pocket of my cargo shorts.

And for those (like me) with extremely sensitive throats, who would like to take their water tool with them on some trips outside the house, maybe on a hike or to a park, etc., I've found a great tool to use.

Here's my current set up...
First is my belt with a small flask belt buckle...will hold at least two fills for the water tool.
In the middle is the water tool taken apart and in it's "case"...easily fits in cargo shorts pocket.
And on the right is the GH in Ratchett's leather case...fit's in another pocket.

wxqCGg8.jpg

Here's a pic of the water tool...it's the Purr 2Go bubbler. It is acrylic, except for the downstem.
The leather case will hold the GH, four batteries, doob tube and the silicone tip.

EuSfPxx.jpg

One last pic with the 2Go assembled...sorry the pic isn't as clear as I'd want. The 2GO isn't cheap, but I picked one up on MassDrop months ago for almost half price and now that I have the 'Hopper, I feel it is the perfect tool for on the go water filtering while vaping. :2c:

iDKIIKy.jpg

So...to sum this up. For everyone that is still waiting for their GH, let me tell you, the wait is well worth it. This has become my second favorite vape that I have owned (after the Cloud/Evo), and for portability, it stands alone at the top.

Now...bring on the Square for comparison!

P.S. I also use my 'Hopper with a Mobius Ion Matrix frequently and have no problem white walling it, too. The Mobius will cut down slightly on the flavor, but I can rip as long as I want without irritating my throat or coughing.

Hey @Ratchett I'm considering picking up one of your leather cases, would it be possible to add some pics of the different colour combos to the site or to PM me some images if you have any. Much appreciated. :)

Nice little case...

Maybe GHL should contact you to design their metal case. It seems too complicated for them to come out with a rolled piece of hollow metal with some foam or velvet inside...they now just moved the delivery date to Aug. 2016.

WTF...it will be close to 3 years before I see the damn metal case...:myday::rofl:

TI GH from the classifieds has landed! I'm literally trembling with excitement as I open it. It feels like a dream that I've been having every night for years has finally come true haha! Lots of testing to come!

Edit: First Draw = Amazing! More to come later...

Edit 2: I usually ramble and am trying to be brief so I can keep testing, but I can't help it. Quick first impressions: I actually found it easy to pack. Heat up time is like everyone says. Vapor is really thick. I don't have another portable to compare it to (I had the Pinnacle years ago, but honestly can't remember enough to compare). It's not as good as taste as my Evo, but that is expected. Other than that I've only taken two draws so far and I'm feeling good!

Last Edit I Promise! : One bowl down and I'm amazed. I'll need to find my desired starting and ending temps as this beast is able to extract every bit out of the material I used. I found the vapor to be quite tolerable (but not necessarily desirable) on max temp.

It's been a week so far since my Grasshopper was delivered back to Hopper Labs for warranty repair and I haven't heard anything from them yet after initially being told that the turnaround time would be 1-2 business days. I emailed Caroline today for a status update and to confirm that they received my Hopper. Hoping to get my GH back soon, I've been spoiled by on-demand portable convection and nothing else in my arsenal fills that void.

And that's why I almost considered adding a second hopper to my order so I'd not have to live without one again.

But now that I've discovered the vapcap, I've got an awesome on-demand portable which works great until my Hopper get's here!

there was reports that cigar plastic cases are good. smell and waterproof. also impactproof if you fill in a little bit of construction foam inside and the cut out how you need it for your Hopper to sit in tight.
