Cheap High Quality Bubbler

I'm really looking forward to the bub-log combo. Where is the best place to get GonGs to mate them up? Is that a DHGATE thing too?
The UD comes with 4 stems of your choice. Gongs and songs are one of the options. I think I got my adapters at oregon glass blower. What kind you need depends on your bubbler. I need to use a female 18mm for mine. I think the one your ordered uses a male.

Best place to get these is the vape vendor. Right now the big 3 log vendors all do their own. Alan (HI) also makes GonGs that fit the nano (and I think UD). There are also a few vendors that do customs, but they are more expensive and usually take more time.

Hey guys I wanted to gauge interest on a new hyrdatube from sunshine store. I sent them pictures of a few hydratubes that have been made and they have made a prototype of one. They are unsure about the size, and think it may be a little large 28cm which is a little over 11 inches. If anyone knows the size of the true symbiartic chandelier please share. Unfortunately, they still do not have a stand yet. No word on price but I'll let you guys know. For reference, here is one of the pictures I sent them for this. I'm very impressed.

Based on this video

I'd estimate the hydratube to be 9-10" tall assuming the Evo is 8" tall.

I'd also say this video shows the perc layout function better than a pic can.

Here ya go bud. It's my first ever video production. The lighting isn't the best, but it serves the purpose. I'll try to do better next time. It's the first three hits of a Solo session using the mini-whip.

Nice quality on your vid! Thanks!

Still waffling between the FC-UFO and the FC-MOD - which just happens to be on sale right now:
had the basic and a showerhead in my basket for awhile ($48), but the entire rig, ash-catcher & all, is now $47.

Really way past time I had some decent glass: beginning to resent the locally-available options. MY problem is I really want BOTH of them, but can barely swing one....

(hey, look at me, learning to edit-and-add-to!)

I gotta mention the vids & comments on water levels: yeah, I know dick about it; and yet, it seems to me that the lower the water level, the less actual WASHING of the smoke/vapor gets done, and so benefits are reduced; 'secondary' effect is to expose as much dry glass to as much vapor/smoke as possible, thereby ensuring maximum 'reclaim' build-up. Gotta remember this is some of the stickiest stuff in the universe, and IT WILL stick to glass in particular unless the glass is COVERED with water (the resultant wholesale discarding of all that gold as if it was just "cleaning up" makes me physically ill).

I guess it's about why you want to run your inhale through water in the first place: either it's to cool and clean the smoke, or you just like the neat pipes and the swirly stuff, I guess. If you just like the neat pipes, that's all you need; if you have a reason for wanting your inhale to go through water, then you might make sure it gets through enough water in small enough pieces (bubbles) long enough to get the job done.

Some pipes are clearly designed to minimize bubble size and maximize bubble track through a water path. Others are not. Folks are all over both, it seems, but still waiting to pop my cherry....

Does anyone in the US sell the D020-D online? I'd rather just pay a bit of a markup than sign up to dhgate, buy a prepaid credit card, worry about possible customs seizure, etc.

If not, someone should consider it. With the bulk discounts, you could get them for about $28, resell them for $50 or so. I'm sure a lot of people feel the same as me and would buy them.

I've seen them on smokecartel and some ioffer stores. Shop around a little and you'll find one.

I don't think vapor needs much cleaning or diffusion, Lou. If I am understanding your post correctly.
I don't doubt you - I have only a cheap bubbler w/ a one-hole downstem that barely makes it below the surface of the water, so not able to achieve non-combustion: hard to transition to non-existent equipment. What I HAVE been doing is thinking through the various elements of the waterpipe & how/why they work...in pursuit of making a smart choice, you see...and I have a bit of the ability to watch things 'run', mentally, and learn from doing so ($1 to Nikola Tesla).

Therefore, for mechanical, descriptive purposes, I've been treating smoke and vapor as equivalent: they travel the same path & are subject to the same conditions. Works just fine in tracking function and performance.

Taking up your exact comment, if vapor per se does not need cleaning or diffusion, why run it through a water pipe at all? Serious question, no challenge. With no need fulfilled and not meaningful purpose served, why pack a mostly-empty glass cylinder w/ smoke/vapor? Most of the result will be heavy deposition of oil/goo on the inside of your rig (heavier than if you just inhaled it), especially if you're using an actual vaporizer unit?. Please don't tell me the vapor needs cooling, I have used vapes (I just don't own one).

Thanks for the reply

I see where you are going with this and you sort of answered you own question but it's not that black and white. Vaping through water (which I do about 50% of the time) cools the vapor and also MOISTURIZES the dry vapor so it's not so irritating on my throat. In fact I occasionally vape through warm water for a little different effect with no cooling whatsoever, just added moisture.

I also find that drawing through a water pipe gives you a completely different draw rate thus make the vape actually perform differently. And you can almost always take a bigger hit through water.

That leads us to what bongs are "Vaporizer friendly bongs" and what aren't. I'm not the best judge apparently, I buy glass people call "Combustion" pieces all the time that work great for vapes. I don't go for big giant tubes with 4 percs or anything but I don't mind some percolation and diffusion with my vapes. All of those percs are used to filter out the nasties in smoke, Vapor doesn't have nasties to filter out so you are adding unnecessary drag for nothing at that point. I do find that "combustion" bongs with a lot of draw resistance don't work well because that vapes also already have draw resistance and this is sometimes too much. On the other hand I prefer a nice showerhead to the wide open airflow of a Matrix perc that some prefer. If I was just going to buy 1 DH Gate bong honestly it would be the FC-UFO. It is a good all-around piece.

Excellent post! Thanks so much, humidity never entered my mind (THIS is why I ask questions). You have also explained why there are so many small pieces that will only tolerate miserly water levels....

For the folks who ISO their glass every day & pour it out, I say: just leave that yellow stuff on the back steps, and I will remove it and dispose of it FOR you. No charge.

I've found that a water tool helps pull the vapor better, especially with a well working bubbler. it does smooth the pull too ( however that works) allowing bigger amounts of vapor to be inhaled at one time compared to native vaping. the water later stinks like vape poo so some of that funk smell stays in the water and the water is tinted light green from some of the plant chlorophyll soaking into the water. I do not know for fact but some chemical fert nasties could also get trapped in the water( THC is not water soluble)

Clean and Clear Glass has posted some dope stuff recently. That lemon drop recycler that someone posted that a vendor made custom for them a couple of months ago is part of it $160ish tho ouch. They also posted an FTK which looks very nice and an Eggosphere (or is it exosphere?) which looks dope but has a matrix perc :(

Hey guys, a few months ago a purchased a D020 off a vendor (Andeer I think their name was) and the dork never shipped the item. Right from the get-go I had a bad feeling when they refused to answer my emails about why the tracking number was invalid.

Anyways, after a bit of a fight I was finally refunded and DHgate also gave me a $5 credit.

So now I'm thinking to take another swing at a DHgate cheapo glass product and was wondering if someone could kindly tell me which cheapo glass product works best with an Arizer ExQ. I'd like something that's solid, easy to clean and to be able to accomodate ice for cooling would be nice as well as accepting an 18mm fitting so I don't need to buy any additional adapters. Oh and please only drop a recommendation if you've dealt with the seller. I suspect there are some shady sellers on DHgate and I'd prefer to avoid those ones!

Thanks

I just bought the FC-187 for dabs and love how smoooooth it is. I still manage to get decent flavor out of it too. But I currently want something similar, but for smoking flower.

I was looking at the FC-200 and 186 and I love how it has the same stereo matrix percolators, but I don't like how it doesn't have an ice-catcher. I found this very similar bong that has the same percolators, but features an ice-catcher as well.

I'm already planning to add a carbon filter to this setup as well. Would adding another ash-catcher to this setup be over-kill? Normally I'm a three-water-chambers kind of guy, but I wouldn't want something tooo draggy. Or should I just leave it to the default 2 water chambers? I mean the carbon filter does do a great job of trapping the tar.

I spoke with CCG and there is currently only 1 lemon drop recycler made as a test piece, there won't be any more unless there is high demand so the price isn't too bad for what it is. If it didn't have a label I would be all over it for the price/exclusivity.
