Hi Guys, and @Yocantech
I'm having a trouble with my evolve and evolve plus with leaking wax. It happens after I used a couple times. Bummer cause I just picked up the plus, and it happened as well. Atty is screwed on tight. Seems to be leaking from bottom onto fitting then onto battery. Any solutions to these problems?
Also I lost the cap on my small evolve. Can I get a replacement?
Hi @V-RodVapors4U ,thanks for your support Yocan:) This is first time i heard Evolve have leaking wax question.I think maybe you add wax too more or your wax quality is not good?can you take a photo and send to me let me check?I have watched all of Evolve reviews video on Youtube, don'd find reviewers said this question,i have talked with our colleague who managed after sales service ,she said haven't heard this question.can you show an image of coils and the leaking wax image?Look forward to your reply, thanks.

Anyone else guilty of ordering up the pre-order of a 5pk of ceramic donut coils for the Evolve Plus off ebay from a seller named '6ixshot''?

Kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on some from EDD, but I was too slow to do so and they went out of stock. Canadian ebayer it is, oh well...good use of ebay reward dollars :).

Ya I ordered before it was posted I guess, just got my Evolve Plus from 6ixshot. Shipping was pretty fast. Charging up now, but very impressed by the size. Basically disappears in my hand.

USA users can order the coils from yocanonline on ebay, but the listings are shipping to USA only

Also according to DHL my ceramic coils should be delivered on Friday so I will likely have to go to the DHL office and pick them up Saturday or Monday.

Hollllllllllly crap! I just received and charged my evolve plus up, swapped out the quartz coil for a ceramic plate....loaded in some goopy Emerald OG oil...reassembled it and took a 3 second hit......

Woah! I will admit to being skeptical of the flavor claims but I have never tasted so much flavor from a portable wax pen vape mod blah blah blah thing before! I'm very impressed! Bear in mind my other portable concentrate capes are an omicron 2 with a KISS cart and globe, and various thcjuice carts, so my experience is very limited.

Still, this really might be my perfect public vape...too early to tell, of course, but I already found a way to mitigate the smell by using a rubber cap from an ecig cart I had lying around:

There are a few metal shows on my horizon that I am excited to attend, they'll be the perfect field test for this lil guy!

Edit: I have two questions:

- What is the best way to clean both types of atomizers?

- I can't really tell how much concentrate is left visually, but if I run out while vaping is it detrimental to either type of coil? Do I risk damaging the atomizer?

Did a bit of initial testing. Taste on the quartz is ok for the first hit, then becomes standard vape pen maybe a bit better since there's no wick. Def looking forward to the ceramic. Very heavy hitting tho, definitely impressed. Seems pretty close to taking a dab, wasn't even hitting it the whole 15 second limit.

Was using a terpene solution mixed with concentrate in standard e-cig carts before and tho that was pretty good sometimes they leak and was more of a hassle. Also I am running out of terpenes so it will be nice not to have to buy more. This is definitely going to be a satisfactory replacement. I got a red one one as I didn't read the ebay ad too close and didn't realize you had to specify colour. I just assumed it would be silver.

Is it OK/safe for the nichrome wires to glow? I haven't received my Evolve Plus yet (just shipped today), but I just received the Nyx and I understand its coils use the same type of wire as the Evolve coils. I fired the Nyx at only 13W for just a few seconds and the wire glowed orange.

I know letting Ti coils glow is bad, but not sure the same applies to Nichrome.

Good lord I'm wrecked. I don't dare consider doing more as I still have yet to get up and make dinner but I've got another question....what is the approx max capacity? Is it generally better to load less to allow for, say, better airflow or efficiency?

Loading less is good for preventing leakage and preserving taste. I would stick to 0.1g-0.3g of concentrate. Anything more and you'll be reheating the same oil repeatedly and destroying the flavor.

Without getting technical (because im no scientist)
You definitely do not want to your heating wire to glow orange.
If you see the wire glowing, oxidation is most likely the end result.
Ti is superior to nichrome and i would have to assume it is just as bad to let them glow

Damn how the hell are we supposed to hit this thing then if it glows after a few seconds of low wattage?

2. about the dry burn question, when you find a scorched flavor prove the wax all burned,if you dry burn too long time, you will get big scorched flavor, it will damage coils life.but you use an after-cleaning coils for dry burn,it do not have damage.

ok, so we can submerge both types of coils in ISO and it'll be OK? Great!

Hmm, I'm not sure I follow the last bit of this answer. I guess there will always be some residual concentrate left over under the ceramic disc that doesn't get sufficient heat.

I found that the removable tip of a silicone spatula fits well in the storage container! I took this out for a spin after work and it worked wonderfully.

This vape's quality at this price point is an incredible value, I look forward to seeing how it fares over time. A friend of mine swears by his titanium nail rig but his birthday is coming up and I know just the gift....

Just received my Evolve Plus today.

Just wanna make sure I'm not missing something... the power nor the airflow is adjustable, correct?

The spatula tool is helpful but not really useful. As I use the evolve plus a lot of reclaim coats the walls of the coil housing and dropping in a new piece of shatter often gets stuck to the reclaim. The spatula isn't maneuverable enough to apply enough force to push it down, so I resort to a metal stick, like the one they give you.

Unfortunately there is no good way to store a rod in the device with the sole potential exception of maybe storing a paper clip inside the mouthpiece as it is a big hollow dome.

I have found that the dab tool that comes with the kit slides perfectly in my wallet right next to a couple of my cards etc. I've been carrying it for a few days with no issues. Throw a few alcohol wipes in there to so you can clean the dabber. Works pretty good for me.
