Yeah I'm waiting for the pro upgrade kit to be the deal of the day on edabsdirect. Then I'm going to get it , and start using my unit again .

http://edabsdirect.com/collections/...h-enail-dabbie-bolt-boost?variant=11386404485

Well , I couldn't wait for the upgrade kit to be the deal of the day so I bought it for $60 from edabsdirect.com . I'm glad I didn't wait any longer . My H-enail is a new beast with this new top , the heat seems to disperse faster and more evenly on the nail . This results in a much more efficient unit, This seems to be a very notable improvement so far , I will stay posted as I use the unit more . Overall I'm very happy to use the H-enail again , and Its better than ever . Also , I ordered on Tuesday night and got it today Thursday , Wow that's fast !

So I expressed my concern with Dr. Dabber regarding my issues with my original boost and they agreed to send me the upgraded version. I received it last night and though I am impressed with the appearance of the upgraded unit I have noticed that it does not seem to allow me to finish my load in one hit. I am wondering if I may be doing something wrong or if it is possibly a weak battery. Any suggestions?

So here's a little update on the new upgraded ceramic pro top . I have had a about a week of use on it since I received it . It also got a very hard run over the weekend between me and two friends . So after some extended use I have to say this new version is really holding up well . As I stated in my earlier post the heat dispersion on the nail is vastly improved over the old setup . This improvement really showed over the weekend with my friends . On the old model when it was used heavily between multiple people the nail would really gunk up fast . After a few times around with others there would be so much black crud in the lower nail cavity it would have to be scraped out and cleaned before going back at it . The new version clearly is more effective and efficient as this is not nearly as much as an issue as it was before . It just seems like the lower cup of the nail has more heat to it not just the center nail post like the old one .

Another Thing that I really like about this new unit is I don't have to worry so much about going to hot with friends that don't know better . On the old unit I was pretty meticulous about my friends not going past 3 cycles in the rotation without some time to cool off . Even with being very cautious , my old unit still showed signs of PTFE degrading . After about an hr of use with friends on the new unit I was to medicated to really pay attention to what they were doing LOL . The good news is the new pro version help up very well that night and boy did it get a workout ! I fully cleaned the unit the next day, unscrewed the nail and found zero degrading of anything including ceramic rod soldering points . Also the unit smells extremely clean during dry burns , not something I can completely say about the old unit after extended use .

I would like to also add that I had a problem with my magnetic base for my unit , I contacted Greenlightvapes about this issue since I purchased directly from them . This was 4 days ago and I still have not heard back from them . So I ended up emailing edabsdirect.com about my issue last night . They contacted me back within an hour and are helping me with my issue even though I didn't buy my original unit from them , and it doesn't have anything to do with the pro upgrade kit they sold me ! So if your looking to get a H-enail with some great CS check them out .

Great post, I have noticed similar results with my updated Dr. Dabber units (they sent me an extra one either by mistake or for my troubles but either way I am happy) My last post I complained that the newer version did not seem to be getting to a high enough temp, but I watched Vape Critics review on the new unit and remembered it now has a higher heating setting if you press the button 5 times instead of 3 when turning on. That has allowed me to see how this baby really shines. Ironically my first dabbing experience was with this device, but my buddy has now left his "traditional rig" over my house for safe keepings and it may just be the fact that we are using a kinda of make shift nail with his unit (broke the original one) but I see no reason for even pulling that one out unless I have a dead battery or something, but now that I have 2 units I can't see that happening.

Would you guys know where's the best place to get one in Ontario, Canada? Specifically the GTA. Would it be best to buy it online? if so, what website?

Thanks in advance!

edit: I also wanted to share with you guys if you haven't already seen the post:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Waxpen/comments/4aujip/new_greenlight_henail_ceramic_nail_for_box_mods/

what do you guys think?

Can't tell you where as I am an USA resident, but I would definitely tell you it is worth the purchase. Personally I like to buy directly from the source and today Dr. Dabber is also having a 20% off St. Pats sale. Shit that just gave me the green light to order the Aura today! SMH this VAS is serious :disgust:

Wow, thanks for the heads up! I went ahead and pulled the trigger! Can't wait!

^ Too bad he didn't actually practice the leveling method he mentions when talking about the device. Second and third 'phase' are the money spot and hopefully the comments inspire him to revisit the device. One to two weeks of use? You would hope he would have tested that out himself, but oh well.

Does anybody else one the Cloud Electro? I bought it because it seemed stronger than the Dr. Dabber Boost, however my titanium nails are dying left and right. I found a website where they add the larger nail for free, and I just broke my third and final nail. I am left wondering if these nails are just seriously faulty, or if I have a bad device?

*edit* Sorry if this is the wrong thread for this, I just haven't seen any threads on that device.
I own the Cloud Electro and I had a problem with one of my nails so far too, but the other small one works great and I bought the bigger one too and that works fine too, but the heat is concentrated in the middle so it tends to not get as hot around the edges of the bigger nail, so I've been just using the smaller one. I haven't had anymore issues tho since that one nail stopped working good unless it's on high temp.

Pictures of the Cloud Electro "nail" torn apart are included here:

I am no expert, but this seems like it could be just as bad, if not worse than the Green Light issue since the teflon is in the nail!!!
That's because it's two different technologies. The Henail uses a ceramic heating rod to get the normal nail hot, and the Cloud Electro is not like a car cigarette lighter. The only part of the basil that gets hot is the bottom plate of the nail and it's cool very fast too. I don't think any of that stuff inside the stem part of the nail get hot enough to matter unless you actually torch it with a torch, which you should never need to do. The Cloud Electro nails are more like atomizers. That's why some of them die. I've had one that started not working on me unless it's on the higher temp. But my other ones are fine. I feel that the electro is way safer and tastes better than the original HeNail. I've actually stopped using my original HeNail once I got my electro. I haven't tried the newer version of the HeNail yet, but I'll have my newer version of the Dr Dabber Boost tmrw so I'll be able to compare that to the Electro too.

Edit: Sorry for the back to back posts. I didn't realize no-one posted after my last post.

Yeah, these portable enails aren't designed to be torched clean. A butane powered torch produces a flame at about 2500F which is much too hot. while the Cloud heats up to 800F or 1000F, it only hits those temps for a couple seconds. After about 20 seconds, I'm sure the nail has cooled to well under 400F. Through normal use, I don't see how the internal parts under the nail would get heated to a temperature that would be concerning. @tylerj55 torched the shit out of the nail using a 2500F butane flame and then smashed it with a hammer and tore it apart with pliers and concluded that the device was a piece of shit of poor build quality.

To clean all I do is wipe it out with a alcohol wipe after every use. Alternatively you could just run a single 1000F cycle to burn off any remaining oils.

My cloud V Electro functions very well and I use it everyday. My only complaint is I've found I have to run 2 to 3 cycles to fully vaporize that big glob dab ( maybe a .15 glob). So now I just do small .03g dabs with one cycle at 800F then reload as needed until I arrive at my desired medicated effect.

Dude I don't know why me providing my opinion, as well as information on the atomizer to people who may like to know what materials are in their device is a problem. Could I have done it in a better fashion? Sure. But I felt betrayed and lied to and I also didn't torch the shit out of it. I did hit it it with a torch when it would no longer heat up, thinking that the atomizer was really a nail like the Boost/other variations that can withstand that kind of torching, but it obviously could not. Congratulations on enjoying your piece buddy. Do I hate on the device and think it's shit? Absolutely. I still have another unused nail they sent me and I won't use it because I don't see the need to risk inhaling fumes from teflon. I have very sensitive lungs and do not want to risk it, just as I'm sure many others don't want to risk it. That js why there was such an uproar over the other models. I also ripped apart a used nail that I didn't torch and it had burnt teflon as well. On the other hand, I use the bubbler as a water filter for my Grasshopper now so it's not all bad haha.

Relax man. I was just trying to clarify to you and everyone else that the electro is not the same technology as the other G9 ones, and when used the way it's supposed to be used, it shouldn't be an issue to have Teflon inside the base part of these particular nails, bcuz it's not a normal heater that heats up the nail, like in the G9 models. Hey, to each their own. I love my Electro and will continue to use it everyday. If you don't want to use yours then that's your decision and I respect that. I just felt that I had to clarify that the Electro nails are more of an atomizer type nail rather than just a piece of titanium that needs to be heated with a type of heater or a torch.

Can I just buy an ceramic nail and replace the titanium nail with it, or do i have to buy a whole new top?

A shop near me got the HeNail with the ceramic top but the titanium nail, so I thougt on buying it today in the shop and ordering the ceramic nail on the internet, so I could get to play around with the unit until the ceramic arrives:)

Do you think this is a good idea?
Or should i still wait a bit longer for more improvements to come?:hmm:

Have not read through the entire thread yet so my apologies if this has been discussed already.

Got my portable enail from DHgate yesterday and it works great but is surprisingly harsh. Did anyone else notice the device being extra harsh at first, like maybe I need to season the nail better? Blasted the nail with a torch to clean off any residue before using initially, but could also be the limited amount of water being used, as I find my health stone pipe similarly harsh.

Thanks,
Treeburner

If it's the ceramic top, then I believe the nails are threaded in. So you can interchange the nails.

If it's the old style, Teflon top, I believe the nails are pressure fitted, and you can slide the nails in and out. They are also interchangeable.

I have not received my boost and I never had the old style henail. Everything I just mentioned was just from reading this thread.

Vapefiend is doing a new and improved Dabbie called "Dabbie pro" including a ceramic top and nail as well, although it's not a upgrade out if you purchased the orginal Dabbie he's offering a upgrade to the pro version for a price yet to be announced. This isn't exactly what you've asked for @wzuplol but might be of use :)

@anasrzi As I suspected tbh. I really think they're missing out on a lot of sales if they don't offer an upgrade kit. Mind you, I guess the price of the upgrade kit from vapefiend would probably be around the price of a whole new upgraded unit from china when they're eventually available.

I have seen on instagram that greenlight are working on the upgrade but it would be nice to know a timescale. Has anyone else heard anything?

I ended up biting the bullet and just getting a proper enail bit I still think the h enail has a place in my line up.

If I hear anything else @salivape ill be sure to post up, I emailed him about a upgrade kit of sorts to the original but he said it's isn't practical (or financial) to go ahead and do it that way, better to make a completely new unit I guess, money talks right.

Didn't know China was doing updated versions or they are in the pipe line, I keep checking to see if they offer a ceramic nail and I'll be happy with that overall, my Dabbie is still working fine no off gassing or boiling of Teflon as far as I can see, VF did mention to me personally the unit has been tested plenty before release and does differ from the cheaper versions (only what I'm told don't shoot the messenger )
