Hercs weren't meant to be dust collectors! I saw in your signature you have two Persei, is any help needed to make this connection happen?

I also have 2 hercs I don't use because I use a 510 box mod for most of my vaping. Once I can send in my Iris V1 for a new Persei, then I'll use it again. Until then also hoping for an adapter or even a 510 herc.

Any eta on the 510 v2 Alpha Centauri? Hoping to drop it in the cart soon!
Is there any change to the construction of the coil, or more of a cosmetic change for the sheath/heat sinks? The same coils from v1 will work in v2, correct?
Is there any size difference between v1 and v2?

The coils in the A.C. V2 are the same as the ones in the V1
The V1 coils DO fit in the the V2.
As far as im concerned the major changes have been cosmetic, the cart feels much smoother/sleeker in your hands than the old A.C.
**there is no adjustable airflow on the V2, which I am glad they decided to get rid of
It is harder to remove the sheath on the V2 because it doesn't unscrew.

That's a valid reason, but unfortunately no device I've found is able to temperature control the Hercules...
This works in wattage mode, but no TCR value allows actual temp control- the reason has to do with the ceramic rod inside the Hercules. A different approach is needed.
Temperature control for the Hercules is coming with our V6 Persei (sorry @DaNi_DuB no updates just yet- still testing things) and 510 bottom insulators will be available then, too.
The coil itself is the same but the body has been changed:
"One more upgrade on the KISS AC v2 is an even larger cup. Slightly wider inner diameter, taller body, deeper ceramic cup. Haven't confirmed with @THC SCIENTIFIC yet, but it appears to be even larger volume than the ceramic cup inside the gen 3 KISS cart.
To answer the question about size differences between AC v1 and AC v2, the height has been reduced a small amount, and the diameter has been increased a very small amount.

I like the cup changes, at least I think I will. It will be a good medium between the current ones and the much deeper gen3 kiss.

So I see that Puffitup.com has a Hercules SR-71 with a 510 thread available. I spoke with someone in chat and they said this was a newer model than the SR-74x. I'm quite ecstatic if it is because Hercules are sold out everywhere else.
So, I'm hoping that @SamuraiSam can chime in on if these are indeed the next generation of the Hercules or I'm just getting told what I want to hear by a rep that doesn't actually know.

I don't think we'll have any available before the v6 Persei's release. I'm aware that more than a few people are anticipating their release; hopefully it won't be too much longer.
This is an SR-71, which is a model previous to the SR-74x or SR-74. It's the same unit that's been on close out at w9tech.com for many months with the one exception of a 510 threaded bottom insulator only available on these complete units through PuffItUp. It uses the same 1.5-1.7 ohm rod intended for 7.4V, and press-fit center post as all other SR-71s.
Our next Hercules will come equipped with a lower resistance rod for operation at lower voltages and come equipped with a spring-loaded center post for much easier assembly, disassembly and maintenance. They will be an actual 510 thread Hercules with 510 threading on the bottom of the threaded assembly.

I seriously considered picking it up off PIU for the the 510 adapter, and I've been curious to have an SR-71 too. Having two Ti coils intrigues me, not sure if it's worth it ultimately though.
That should show you the demand for some 510 adapters, Sam! And if you sell them to people prior to the release, they wouldn't be hitting you guys up for the free upgrade later on.
Just saying...take my money!
I prefer the pressed fit of the sr71 center post I'd order another of those for my 74x if they were available I've had a bunch of issues with the spring loaded version

What do you all prefer about the older style center pin? Do you find having 2 Ti coils instead of 1 to be that big of a deal in the 71s?
I just picked up the Omicron v4, so don't have the funds to drop on a 2nd Herc at the moment. Tempted though, that's for sure.
The pressed fit gets a much more solid connection than the spring loaded center pin in my experience with my 74x if it got a little oil in the bottom chamber the pin would get stuck and I'd have to break it down and clean it or deal with it performing inconsistently and I had to replace the center pin twice in a few months
The 71 pressed fit works the same every time it holds the ceramic rod tightly I never have connection issues and have never had to replace it I'd definitely replace my sr74x center pin with the pressed fit if I were able
As for using 2 coils to hold more oil I've never actually tried it I love the taller chamber of the 71 but mostly because it helps keep my mouth piece cleaner but I prefer to use smaller loads to preserve taste as best as I can
