This is a new type of battery with a ten second activation period (longer than many).
My reaction when I saw it was that it had to do with the timer that counts down before shutoff.
I did not think about it enough to send message and ask Yocan.
I accepted it as a norm, and when I read others noticed the same thing, my curiosity to know "why" dwindled.

It happens even if you press button for 1second it will light up whe released and I don't think the coil is getting power when it happens.

I do like the silicon container on the bottom
They should add it to the Evolve also wouldn't be much more longer

Soooo do you guys think the plus is less efficient than the original evolve? I think it is but can't tell its working though ha. If you guys think it is I may switch back over but the plus has been so beautiful so far

About that battery light , its because there doesn't have atomizer match with it,when you click,battery start automatic detection and light flashes 1-2 times,it is normal;)

Hi Drew, It is normal, the battery detect voltage function, one more security features，its' more safer and better than Evolve battery. Have a good vaping day

Mailman brought me a present today. Charged it up while I finished the workday and then loaded it up with some super-terpy rosin. I wanted to test the ceramic coil, so I loaded it up with about .1 to start. Wow, amazing taste. Device has great feel overall. I think I have a new daily driver! I will keep everyone updated as I push the ceramic coil a bit over the next few days.

That is a good price, but IMHO to buy this without the ceramic would be a miss.


Having used the OG Evolve since December, and the NYX since it was released, I am a big fan of the standard dual quartz coils. After a day of heavy use with the deluxe kit...I would strongly recommend the ceramic donut coils! I will be getting them for the nyx and the OG evolve to keep them in the rotation.

I highly doubt there are any fakes out , this pen just came out. Not to much time to copy so most likely they are all legit and if a company is putting the time in to copy a $30 pen that's pretty pathetic imo.

Kinda want to pick up an Evolve Plus, but can't find anywhere that will ship the ceramic coils to Canada. The official Yocan ebay link is USA only :/
