Can I Use An Old INNOKIN I-Taste To Vape Flower / Better To Start With New Device ?

Greetings,

I have an old INNOKIN I-Taste from my E-Cig days 3 years ago. After looking on the INNOKIN website I don't see it listed anymore.

It is a beautiful looking device ( looks like a SCi-FI Missile ). Can I salvage this by just buying a separate atomizer that attaches to the battery ? Will I have a true vape at that point or just an atomizer that combusts flower ?

I stopped by a vape shop last year and the clerk said it was doable but I am curious to know from more advanced vapers what they think or would I do better starting from scratch and buying a new vape all together ?

Thank You for your help.

In theory this could work, I have seen attachments that claim you can use on any e-cig type battery. I doubt the results would be all that good though, I'd start with a complete new unit.

Check out the DIY threads. Some people have had success with modifying atomizers to work with dry herb. But without modification you're just going to end up with a combustion pen afaik. If you want a dry herb vape your best bet is getting a dry herb vape imo.

It looks like "the project" in the DIY threads may be close to what you're looking for. Just went over there myself, following my own advice, and I've got a new purchase on my list of near future vape purchases.

I bought one a few years ago, it is a slick looking device.

For dripping wax mixed with EJ Mix on the wick, it does an ok job.

For using with a dry herb convection atomizer like "the project" mentioned above, it would likely peter out before the coil even got warm. Not sure it would have the power to even fire it in the first place. :2c:
