So the old coils have glue in them? Im sorry im having trouble understanding you, from what you just posted it sounds like the old coils use glue in or around the wires? thats far too close for glue to be to a heat source is it not?

when you say "our new coils without glue" or "...with glue to fix wires.." that scares the shit out me....

I thought the coils were friction fit, i didnt think glue should be used anywhere near a coil or its wires....

After sinking 80 dollars into my yocan ultron, 40 for my evolve and 65 for 10 replacement coils i feel like ive supported your company enough to get a straight answer.

Where is glue used in the original yocan evolve? Is it used anywhere near or around the coil/atomizer? if so is this safe? You say your products are being sent for testing and the results will be posted when they are in, whats being tested and for what? Shouldnt testing have been done on the original evolves prior to shipping them? Also i thought there was extensive testing done on them as you posted earlier in the thread?

1. Glue is used around wires (last version of Evolve coils),we produced 10-50 pieces

2. The glue we used before is harmless. Very safe. As it's used for vaping, we're very serious about this just as you did. Now we all use new coils without clue.

i said Evolve battery use a new Healthier superglue, the healthier superglue is used here, the glue for fixing tube battery:

battery%2Bsuperglue.jpg

3. Our engineers are already tested per new product like Evolve that they are safe enough for use before shipping them. About material test reports you can find on Evolve web page. And when shipped to USA for testing, they are tested for its function and taste

4. We are quite appreciated that you support us. Yocan need your suggestions on products so we can go further.

Thank you:)

Awesome! Thanks for the reply :)

@Yocantech What is the voltage of the evolve battery?
Full charged 4.2V:sherlock:

more answers leading to more questions...

1 - you say glue was used in original evolve around the wires, what kind of glue again i ask you say its safe but i cant take you at your word on that tell me/ show me what glue it is please this is not too much to ask. you also say you produced 10-50 pieces with this glue? is that supposed to mean you shipped 10-50 units of the thousands youve no doubt shipped with glue?

2 - you say its harmless glue safe for vaping ive never heard of such a thing please elaborate

3 - if your engineers tested these for glue how come the glue results arent in the testing you provided earlier in the thread? theres no mention of glue

4 - if it was so easy to fix this problem without glue why was glue used in the original models and can i get a replacement on these coils with glue in them, i wouldnt have purchased an atomizer with glue in it were i to have known. and if the glue is so safe why stop using it?

WHAT GLUE IS SAFE TO USE FOR VAPING THAT CLOSE TO A HEAT SOURCE PLEASE TELL ME THE NAME OF THE GLUE SO I CAN LOOK UP ITS PROPERTIES PLEASE. I HAVE SCOURED THE INTERNET AND CAN NOT LOCATE A GLUE THATS SAFE TO USE IN VAPORIZER ATOMIZERS

@Yocantech - i have 65 dollars of your old glue filled coils being delivered next week, were you to replace those with 10 of your new coils without glue i will continue to support yocan as i have done in the past. I have alwasy recommended your products on reddit/youtube/to my friends. I have $185 dollars worth of your product (ultron/evolve/10 coils) and if you replace my atomizers i will continue to support and purchase your products, otherwise theyre going in the garbage and ill go buy a rig and torch. I also will post links to this thread in every youtube review of the evolve i can.....just to let everyone know that the atomizers they are purchasing contain glue, a substance many of us arent interested in vaping and inhaling. Im sorry for how this may come off but im pissed off and out a lot of money here, im not comfortable using my old atomizers currently.

I don't think attacking the company about your $65 purchases on here is the right way to go about it. You'd be better off emailing the company or messaging them . You already brought this up and they didn't answer here.

I never specifically asked for anything before, i was just venting, now im asking as i dont feel there is any glue that is safe to vape i was waiting for their answers before i asked for a refund/replacement. Now that i have their "answers" im going to be aggressively looking for a replacement/refund, starting here. I find it funny the only thing youre taking issue with over the last few pages is my frustration at being out money and not the fact that yocan is selling you a product with glue in it and stating its ok to heat and inhale.

Of all the very valid questions i posted you quoted and responded to probably the least important one....does it not worry you to be paying money for the privilege of inhaling glue fumes / vapor?

Im pissed off that tonnes of people on youtube / various message boards get these things for free whereas i shelled out my hard earned cash of which i dont have much and my reward for supporting the company with nearly 200 dollars over the last 4 months is finding out im vaping glue fumes.

We have a rule on this forum regarding complaints towards companies and their products:

Don’t attack products or companies. You can post your opinion, and you can criticize, but posts written to offend are not allowed.
Please do not revisit an issue unless you have helpful information or constructive comments to add.
Use of the forum to blackmail companies will not be tolerated.

You have voiced your opinion several times now and have made unsubstantiated claims regarding the safety of this vape. Please do not post again until you have something new to add.

Yocan had replied saying there is no harm and addressed our concerns with detailed pictures. They are a stand up company and if your not happy with what you had ordered I am sure you will get further messaging them. They have taken care of most of us here and I am confident they will do right by you . I was only trying to help you and follow the forum rules when I had said it is best to message them. Best of luck ...

I have used almost every wax pen.
Really, not kidding.
I love many for different reasons, (I dislike a few too)
The fact that the company gives a spare atomizer is great.
The way this unit performs is fantastic, and even when it begins to fail,
I have that spare atomizer. (I was fair.. I said "WHEN")
At this cost, my heart won't break if I have to buy another kit
I feel it is a bargain.
I feel this way about the original ...still available for under $20 with free shipping.
The Plus however costs more.
I would still not hesitate to buy another.
  1. The power.
  2. The cleanliness of the unit.
  3. The size.
  4. It's ease of use.
I can toss wax into that huge hole with impunity (especially firmer waxes)

If I had never tried the "Plus" I would still be using the Evolve.
It is sitting and slightly neglected since the Plus came into my life.
To show fairness it will be the Evolve Original I use today.

I just received a package and was surprised to find a new evolve package and also a new evolve plus package. I was never expecting anything from Yocan and they went above and beyond to please the customer. Thank you @Yocantech for everything! I've never had a company do that for me before. When I have some product I'll try it out and post.

Here are my thoughts and feelings:

I love the size and that it sits stable now. I love the sturdy feel, very low maintenance and great battery life (so far). The coils from the NYX fit it so you can use those in a pinch. I usually fill it up with .5 gram (love the spill proof top) and put the other .5 in the storage container (what a dope idea). It's lightweight and there is no mess while wasting literally nothing. The taste through the ceramic coil is extremely delightful. I love the taste through the quartz rods but this ceramic coil is getting more use than the quartz. 2-3 seconds on the button and blammmmmmmmmm. That .5 lasts a good while because I do not need to hit the button very long. Between this, Evolve and NYX; I will never need another pen or atomizer again.

As for the bad, I have tried to find something bad and can't so far. I am sure there is something but right now nothing comes to mind.

I do prefer this over the Evolve but will continue to use both. The are the same height and build, just the Plus is a little fatter. I've used and own quite a few wax pens but very seriously doubt you can find a better pen especially at it's price.

Received a special package from yocan. Both a new evolve and an evolve plus. Both look and feel incredible and are currently charging.

I can talk about the original evolve while I wait. I bought it back in early january with @Vitolo's recommendation. I busted one coil because I touched the dab tool to the coil while I pressed its button.(don't do that). I had used pretty it often and didn't expect it to last so long especially when I saw the battery coming apart. But even then it made it through a music festival and is still functioning great without babying it at all(besides screwing/unscrewing the base from the battery). One con with my original yocan was that sometime if I was shaking my leg in tight shorts it could sometimes turn on and go off in the pocket. I don't think the new one will do this as it has a much stiffer click. Other than that couldn't be happier. I have zero regrets with my purchase and I should be set for a long time.

Will post evolve plus review when it gets worn in.

While I was at http://www.ebay.com/itm/-/262357095644?
I noticed that the extra donut coil raises the unit cost considerably. $65.75.
Most Evolve Plus units sell for 39 to 40 dollars.
The donut style coil must be extremely functional, to warrant the extra cost.

I think that is just yocan's direct sales link, with MSRP type pricing. I don't think that link even includes the donut coil. if you look at the description, it's just the basic kit.
