not a bad suggestion, half the price of the illadelph.... but unfortunately, it is still quite costly as the beaker is not included in the conversion kit you linked. It is $260+ shipping to complete this order.

I just received my first order from DHgate & it arrived with a hairline crack at the bottom where the perc joins the base & leaks water. Sent this pic to the seller & I only noticed it after cleaning it when I filled it & water leaked out. Hopefully there will be a lack of fuck around on this front. On the good news front it took 6 business days to arrive.

On this and various questions about quality above.... This SUCKS! But, it is all part of the Chinese glass game. Seems sometimes a simple email will get you a replacement, but more often it takes a few griping emails. Crooked perks and mouthpieces and all the rest is just par for the course, too.
You may get lucky and buy 10 pieces with no issue. You may be unlucky and buy 3 or 4 that all have issues.
All to be expected when you're buying knockoffs/clones of pieces that often cost 10x more. Same as buying knockoffs/clones of any other product from Asia.
If worried about this, go to iOffer and find a decent US blower or two. Prices will be much higher, but not so much as higher end glass. Be alert on iOffer and other places for glass that looks EXACTLY the same as what you find on DHGate. More than a few out there who just buy in bulk from DHGate and resell at a big markup. Same glass, 2x or so the price, but get it quicker. Some sites seem to sell both, and prices usually reflect quality, with the same expectations on quality as China for the cheaper pieces.
If neither of these work for you, your best bet is to look for used glass at a slight discount or just buy the original pieces at anywhere from 5x to 20x the price. If you're looking for high quality, perfectly blown and assembled glass without imperfections and a better chance of no problems that's what it costs.
Such is life! Pay the piper or take your chances on sloppy quality and larger problems.
IOW... you get what you pay for, same as with pretty much anything else. You wouldn't expect schwag you pick up for $100 an OZ to be the same as primo that goes for $500, would you?

For sure I am well aware of the risks @flotntoke when it comes to buying Chinese glass. I gave this vendor a chance as their products appear to be significantly higher quality than most other DH vendors & certainly more expensive.
The piece otherwise seems to be very well made just the luck of the draw but I will give the vendor a chance to resolve it & only became apparent after filling. On the flipside I think the piece is too small anyway so I will be ordering a different one if offered a replacement. Worst case I lose $70

Don't know anything about the vendor you link, though. I've had good luck with this guy. Price is a a little higher, but I'd go with it or a similar one from one of the other relatively "trusted" vendors in this thread.

I got home from work today to find thedutchmistress dabbin on the mini fab I was waiting on. Ordered on the 4th so I'd say that's pretty good, the little thing rips like a champ and tastes awesome but I must say nothing has been able to fill the void in my life left by my en4cer being knocked off my kitchen table and shattering on the floor. There isn't anyone on dhgate the makes one is there? I've looked around a little but I haven't found any, maybe someone could get Steve or CCG to make one?
