Just nabbed an LSV from Randy at PIU last night, should be here in a couple of days- STOKED. What kinds of percs/ glass designs seem to work best with this (Direct me to the page if this has been discussed before- thanks).

Is anyone using a hydrotube with their LSV?
If so, how can I milk it like the EVO.
I'm using an 18m2m and ELB. I also have arizer baskets. Any tips?
I had some success using mine with the m2m by packing the elbow screen and running my dial at around 12-12:30 , I grinded pretty fine also and got some huge clouds . I was using the Steven HT at the time but it just felt awkward holding my lsv with the ht upward and preferred milking my glass inverted.

I agree with you there. It is much easier for me to milk my glass inverted.

I have used one with something as small as the MFLB Orbiter and something as large as an 18" straight tube bong. The LSV worked well (but differently) with both extremes so my advice is try it through whatever glass you have first. Many folks here seem to have working relationship with the D-020D or one of its kin http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/d020-bubbler-hand-blown-glass-vase-perc-water/175832535.html so you might start there.

PS: I would like to add, I am a taste guy and I like to dry stem my LSV at lower temps so you could look into that as well.

Nice, I was looking at some of American Glass Studios units and found these two that I think would work pretty well:

https://www.ioffer.com/i/5-5-14mm-honeycomb-splashcap-micro-sidecar-oil-rig-567491853?i=157167407
I'm thinking the gridded inline would work real nicely, but interested in your opinions.
Also, DDaves mod is only for 18mm though correct?

Your choices look nice and I wish I could try them but alas I haven't so no comment. The ddave mods are indeed 18mm but I would suggest getting used to the unit first (consistent results) before starting with mods. Enjoy

Definitely agree with that Howie, I appreciate it.

Just got this beauty in the mail from Randy at PUI... Can't beat 2 days free priority mail :) I tried searching the forums but didn't find anything regarding first use instructions. Did anyone have to rinse the transfer wand or anything for the first use? I am leaving it on high for about 4-5 minutes to burn off anything that may be there but was curious as to whether 1. this was answered, or 2. someone could provide some insight about this. Thanks

Most of us had to remove the heater cover and slide the ceramic heater up.
MAKE SURE UNIT IS COLD, OFF, AND UNPLUGGED.
Take the heater cover between two fingers (can rest them against the steel for support), and very slowly inch it's way up until you can see some of the letters STD written at the base of the ceramic heater.
Basically u want the heater the desired distance from the screen of the heater cover when placed on, and te STD is a good mark as to where that's at.

Thanks ASJ, I really don't wanna mess this up and end up damaging the heater element, is there any video or could you provide some sort of step by step instruction on how to raise the heater? I'm still not confident in how to do it.

Anyone have recommendations for an 18mm bong for use with the LSV?

I have the D020-D and the Vriptech Water tool Perk (14mm).

Looking for an 18mm to use with the M2M Ddave mod. Preferably 7mm glass or thicker, ideally stemless.

I have found numerous options on Sunshine store, and jhanpixel"s ioffer page. I'd like something that is balanced and bottom heavy as to support the LSV sitting on it.

Thanks everyone, and I highly recommend the Ddave mod kit!

Do you have any videos of the torus with it? It looks real solid, I was also thinking about the FC-187 by steven which looks awesome

Shows both the EVO and the LSV with it.
This is is awesome. I can't find the link to whwre this is sold. Can anyone assist?

Edit: I found the link. How thick is the glass on the FC Torus? I like durability, and trying to find an 18mm stemless bong with a bent neck is difficult! If this is atleast 5mm, preferably 7mm, I am going to pick this one up.

Very much does look cool.
My lsv also cannot rest on the heater cover or it'll slide down. Not a stury enough shim

I cord wrapped the space between the knob and the heat shield and that gave me enough insulation to manipulate the unit. At some point I will replace it with something nicer than bland generic white nylon but its good enough for now.

Hey AJS, I had that problem with a badly blown heater cover and got around it by first slipping a hi temp silicon "O" ring between the base and the end of the heater cover. But as usual I broke that cover while cleaning it and had to replace it with a new heater cover which did fit correctly.

my lsv however is not able to rest upside down when on without turning really hot...
Well, mine can get hot too but I don't run it that long. I do my sesh and turn it down where it stays cool. 7th floor products warm up so fast it's nothing to turn it back up and take a hit. I did two ELBS with my LSV not getting hot. Leaving it sitting in any application, it will still get hot from the transfer.

My heater cover slides down as well and I like it. I slide it down and leave it there. The 18mm adapter sits further down so it's not as tall when using a water tool. Also, I don't have to run my LSV as hot to get the the vapor I want.
