Discontinued miVape by Vaporfection

Vaporfection is making a full glass mp for the miVape!
Great new since this is the bigger issue of this vape.

Good news. And may I add -- better late than never. Now, since "all glass vapor path" was one of the big selling points of this vape, perhaps there is a chance that the mouthpieces will be replaced free of charge? ....for the pre-orders perhaps? :)

Yes, even if I'm still in love with my miVape there is a large place for improvements.

Where it shines is the taste and it's a real true convection vape, you can't expect to get clouds with a short puff but you can manage large clouds with a long and slow draw.

Habitually first draw doesn't produces any sort of visible vapor (except with fine grind and dry-dry flowers) but third exhale is thick enough for me, using a water tool it doesn't milk it (at 335) but exhale is impressive.

I'm waiting for the new mp to order a replacement battery and some quartz cups with it.

It replaced my Haze 3.0...I didn't liked it cause it tasted quickly bad, on this aspect the miVape is some steps better, not so tasty than some desktops but the better of my portable and very close to the ESV and MiniVap.

Mouthfull terpenes session!

Any news on this "all glass" mouthpiece?

I was wondering this myself just today as I was ordering myself a Grasshopper (damn you, VAS). I know Dan watches the forum and has always been real good about communicating with us. Last I heard (at the end of November), they were hard at work on the new mouthpiece and promised to make an announcement when they had something for us. I'm still hopeful we'll see that last piece of the miVape puzzle fall into place before too long.

I have a mivape and a grasshopper, love them both, definitely different experiences but you'll be glad you have both.

I use a magic flight orbiter with both, (with the hose for the mivape) it works great, HIGHLY recommended it!

Thanks, that's cool to know. I was looking at and seriously considering that Orbiter just the other day. Can you explain how you make it work with the miVape? What does the hose actually connect to?

I use the short house as the mouthpiece and the long hose to connect to the mivape. The plastic mouthpiece on the hoses is about the same as the mivape moutpeice so it works perfectly

So the end of the hose slips over the mivape mouthpiece? (Sorry to be so dense.)

Sure has been quiet around here...

After a break of a few weeks (got back into using my old Vapor Brothers box for a while), I've been using my miVape daily again. Decided I would clean the mouthpiece assembly this morning. The screen and glass bowl are perfectly easy. Drop them in a shot glass of iso and come back later. But that plastic main piece. :ugh: Compared with the ease of cleaning I have with my Vapor Bros and PNP components, this thing officially qualifies as a drag.

I really do enjoy vaping with the miVape. I just REALLY hope that the all glass, easier to clean mouthpiece is on the way soon. As soon as I can get one, I'll invest in more support for the miVape (extra battery, travel case, spacers for the bowl, etc). Until then, this vape (which I really like otherwise) is still "on probation".

I agree with you, the mp is the worst part of this vape...and as you I wait to be sure a better mp is coming before to invest in replacement battery and quartz cup!

My Minivap flexicone mp is nice, although to get a proper seal you need to use a "o-screen" (a screen with a ring around the edges) and when hot you need to handle it carefully cause it can dislodge easily.

There is a lot of things to improve here....but i still like it and use it everyday!

If you're on the fence about purchasing a miVape, now might be the time. VaporNation is selling them for 30% off. That means you can get one for $161 dollars! Just enter MIVAPE as your coupon code on checkout.

Where do you get replacement glass parts for the miVape? I read the warranty and they are not covered, no surprise there.

If you're looking for new quartz cups, you'll find them, along with other Vaporfection parts and accessories, here. We are all anxiously awaiting the unveiling of the replacement mouthpiece
assembly that will hopefully fulfill the miVape's "all-glass" promise.

If anyone is interested, I have mostly finished my review of the miVape, just gotta re-read and add/remove extras, details etc.........I agree with PPN about the small amounts and I can't believe hot many hits the miVape can squeeze out of a pinch but most of the time it's not enough for me so I end up using other vapes, unless I am looking for just a taste but I usually have a hard time getting good, even heating and consistent results with dry herbs overall. However, its always great with concentrates!

I'm not a writer, so I'm sure there are plenty of grammar errors but hopefully some of you find it helpful. Thanks everyone, keep on vapin!

Hi Vaporfection! When do you plan to release the new mouthpiece...?

And a redesigned quartz cup would be nice too.....
I heard from Dan not too long ago that work continues apace on the new mouthpiece.

I can report that the Vaporfectors have been busy upgrading other aspects of the MiVape. I just took delivery on a new unit and a couple of improvements are noticeable. First, they are sending a different charger in the retail box. The cord is thinner, more flexible, and maybe a little bit longer. The prongs are foldable, making for easier storage. Definitely an improvement. Even better, they seem to have successfully addressed the wonkiness around charging. My new unit charged up much more quickly (from 50%) than the old unit did, with the display moving up to 100% and showing "full" within a couple of
hours (as opposed to previously when after 8 hours the display would still be showing 80%). The whole charging process feels much more robust.

Finally, when turned on, my unit reached temp (325F) VERY quickly. Much quicker than before. Cup was 1/2 full. ABV looks pretty even; no real charring.

When that glass mouthpiece/cup arrives I think we'll see this box reach its full potential.

http://www.puffitup.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=VPF.MIVAPE&CartID=1 Is this with the all glass mouthpiece? I don't see any description of plastic in the airway nor in the pictures, so i was just curious if this was an updated model from the ones you were talking about? The price is amazing too.

Edit: There is a silicone disc within the air path, but nothing directly effecting the vapor and the MP itself seems to be all glass... I think i'm going to grab one of these just because the price is right.

That unit has the same plastic mouthpiece so it is not the updated model. It is not all glass. There is the silicone disc within the air path and the then there is the black plastic piece (picture 12 of 19 in your link) that is between the herb capsule and glass straw.

Edit: It's kind of odd that when you go on vaporfections website they won't sell you the miVape anymore and they say "The miVape is currently available only in Black and can be ordered from Vapornation." They don't mention the great deal on puffitup and it is still $229 on vapornation which is a ripoff compared to $85. The vaporfection website goes on to say "Thanks for visiting Vaporfection.com, we are currently undergoing maintenance and our products will be temporarily unavailable. If you wish to make a purchase immediately, please click here to be redirected to our distributor’s webstore or check back soon."

This all makes me wonder if they are finally getting around to finalizing the glass mouthpiece and will have a new updated miVape out soon. One can surely hope!

As near as I can tell, that is NOT an updated package. The charger is an original one (with fixed prongs and detachable cord) and the mouthpiece definitely looks like the original polycarbonate version. I'm pretty confident that Vaporfection will be making a big noise when the all-glass mouthpiece finally drops and they haven't done so yet.

As I mentioned above, I just got what seems to be a miVape v2.0 with greatly improved charging behavior and heat-up time along with an improved charger and a bigger, more sturdy cleaning brush.

Here's my best guess (and let me emphasize that this is only a guess. I'm not accusing anyone of any sort of nefarious behavior): Puffitup is aware they will be receiving upgraded units and is looking to move out the last of the previous generation. That's the only explanation I can think of for that amazing price unless it's a counterfeit; but I doubt that's the case. So I think they are looking to move out the last of their previous gen retail boxes before receiving the next gen.

That is a helluva price, though...

Yea I saw that, but i don't think that effects the air path at all and is just surrounding the glass airway. I don't own one so I'm not sure- you would know more than me. http://www.vapecritic.com/vaporizers/mivape/ Pretty solid review here, but the only thing he discusses is the silicone ring coming in slight contact with the airway.

Yea I agree, they are definitely trying to move them out as they are in the "Last Call" portion of the website. Thanks for the heads up!

The plastic mouthpiece is a big problem for most of us that have or had the miVape that actually post in this thread. I don't believe vapecritic talks about this much or at all in his review. There are other issues that have been mentioned as well so be cautious as $85 does sound like a great deal, however if you buy it and it is not what you want or not something you will really enjoy, then you just spent $85 on nothing. I would search for my posts in this thread as I believe I was probably one of the most critical.
