what would happen if i plug my X-tar charger (which states input: 5V - 1.0A) in 2.0A USB port?

i'm not always charging at home. i know outputs are written to all USB adapters which you plug in rosette. but how i'm supposed to know what kind of USB my friends got in their computers? in fact, how can i know which one i got on my computer?

Are you using the VP2 charger? It handles .5A and .25A charging. This is from their specs:

0.25A CC :250mAh±30mAh
0.5A CC :500mAh±50mAh
1.0A CC :1000mAh±80mAh

I haven't tried this one, but there's a good looking glass replacement mouthpiece available for the Crafty/Mighty c/u's. (Vapefiend and a Chinese source)
As @Thcgos says, if nothing else there's a nicer tactile experience using glass instead of plastic for a mouthpiece. Might round out the c/u-on-hopper package.

In regard to cloud density. It possibly is due to the bud I have, though I've tried different strains, but I think also the lighting.
I just tried to represent what I was seeing in the lighting conditions I found myself using it.

It could also be that my GH is flawed in someway. It does get very hot after some use (front and back end) but it also seems to be working consistently.

I have a few hoppers on order so I'll get a better idea at some point of the performance to accept.

But at this point even though I am sure I will need to warranty it at some point in its life, and even though I paid a 60% premium on the ticket, it is close enough to my ideal dry herb vaporiser, so I'm more than okay with it.

Having it these last few days has definitely skyrocketed my tolerance

Hey guys,
would a crafty CU fit better or be recommended more than a mighty CU? I don't have any but planning to buying one. Also for use with the FW3 and maybe Apollo.
Was wondering if the size of the connector is any different too?
Thanks for your reports.:)

If your working on WALL STREET or CONGRESS this device is perfect at work.
So stealth!

Amp ratings are just the maximum amount of current something can provide. There is absolutely no reason to worry that a USB port has too high a rating.

Exactly. The charging circuitry itself is what will determine how many Amps to charge the battery. So with the GH charging chord you could plug into a 5A USB port but the GH circuitry itself will limit how many amps to charge the battery. But since the GH charging is using induction charging it may require a minimum 2A source like someone else mention, I personally have no idea.

How much are they?
$500?

Does it work better than a SOLO?
My SOLO let's me read fast!

Will the GH do the same?

I only vaporize at home.

I have only used an Air but have heard the two are very similar performance wise. The grasshopper is more efficient and powerful then the Air. I would say the Grasshopper is the most powerful portable I've had the good fortune of owning- Also the best tasting portable also. There is no draw restriction and I love the fact that it can pretty much fit into any 14mm glass piece- whether it be male or female joint.

It is perfect for those quick hits here and there as you've said. I primarily use mine at home also and it's working out fine for me and allowing me to give my Evo some much needed rest during the day. Also the quick heat up time and works out great at night when I can't sleep or when I have to unexpectedly pop out and don't want to wait 10-15 mins for my Evo to heat soak.

i have VC2. on the back it is written.

Input: 5V ... 1.0A
Output: 4.2V ... Max 0.5A*2

i hope this is good for Hopper batteries.

so what will happen if i connect that X-tar to 2.0A USB port?

It requires at least 5v - 1A USB port minimum (Not the 5V but the 1A). It can be a 5V 2A port. Having a wall wart or USB port that he specs say is 1A, 2A 3A, etc just means that what ever device is connected to it can pull that many Amps not that its going to force feed the Amps to the device. As long as the port has the exact voltage required the Amp rating can be equal or higher than the device requirements.

Just to be clearer. If the GH charges at 1A and you connect it to a 2A port then the GH will only pull 1A from it.

Many vapes & accessories. Always happy to help
I love to F^CK around however I like the foot print of the GH.

Stainless = $150
TI = $200
COLOR = $200

What is the benefit of TI over STAINLESS?

Function or Bling?

I like to fjuk around too :D

If you think about pre-ordering one.. tomorrow they're gonna raise the price by 25$ each model.

Hi Ataxian,
Both. The Interweb has all you need to know about the intrinsic differences between titanium and stainless steel. Titanium has improved functionality (objective). As for which version pegs the Bling-o-Meter, this is a decidedly subjective arena. A titanium Grasshopper is going to be in my hand. Eventually,

Based on subjective reports, the objective improvement is not really detectable by us mere mortals.

What do I know though, I haven't tried either...

Hi tr33sPlease,
I also have not tried either. Yet. According to GHL, the titanium does indeed offer a performance increase, and rudimentary metallurgical science corroborates this. As to wether or not the objective improvement is detectable by mere mortals (like me) , I stand by my previous post in which I super-briefly highlight the tangible differences, which should result in a perceptible difference while actually using the Grasshopper. Note: I have a physics background, which permeates everything I do, and think, so my perceptions may not align with the perceptions of other mere mortals. Many people, not necessarily you, find science incredibly annoying and inconvenient.

Ti is cooling much faster, so you can hit it with your friends more hardcore style than SS version. also Ti is more scratch resistant material. although there are reports that SS feels more nice and hefty with balanced weight distribution. and its color matches with clip, which is SS for all models. while Ti is lighter and it give you more stealth factor. as its weight resemble a pen more, in case police officer take it in hand. SS could feel not like a pen. i suppose it is better to take out battery as well. so Hopper is even more lighter for stealth purposes when passing security.

Hey I got a question now that I read the last bachillion posts here but will I ruin my Grasshopper if I use the supplied charger?

I was hoping to just use a Powerbank or 2,1amp wallwart to charge my hopper as I am going to be using it mostly outside and camping, do I now need to care with me both the powerbank and a battery charger ?

Where is your location?
What's with the fiction?

I've have use TI, STAINLESS and many other metals.
My question should of been is it worth $50 more?

it depends on how much you earn, i guess. for some $50 is a change money, for others it is worth three days of work.

i ordered Ti because i like my stuff to look as new and shiny for as long as possible.

I like to imagine that right now the folks at GH are making thousands of hoppers and planning to batch-ship all of the pre-orders dated through March. I know that this line of hope is basically ridiculous, and without any basis in reality, but it's getting me through this confirmation desert we seem to be in.

I am a fan of my grasshopper.
A long time ago they mentioned a problem with not being able to get their laser sintered 3D heaters as quickly as they originally thought.
They never said that has been resolved...only that (I'm paraphrasing) "a compromise has been made."
I firmly believe that the heaters are only made a handful at a time, which brings the entire production to a crawl.
It doesn't matter how many of the other parts they have...if there are not enough of these highly specialized heaters to go around, the other parts will sit idle, waiting for the stock of heaters to increase.
EDIT: if they admitted this I'm sure preorders would take a giant hit...so here we are.

I would hope so or GH has even bigger problems. It seems some people have had issues with the GH charging but that probably has more to do with backend issues. Remember the charging cord is just that, a cord. The charging circuitry is in the GH itself. If the backend is having issues then that would probably also effect charging.

For me and because of all the backend issues, I'll probably keep it safe and charge externally on a charger I know is not going to fuck up.

My recommendation is if your at home and have an external charger, then use it. If you're out on the road or don't have access to an external charger use the GH.

Money is not the issue?
I asked a simple question if the $50 was worth it or not?

People who understand me know that CANNABIS is the main concern!
