Can anyone with some experience with the okeanos give me a little help or insight?
I cant seem to get the water levels right with his thing. If i put a 1ml of water in , I get no bubbling action . If I put a drop more into it , I get water in my mouth. I have triedall fill levels with varying pull strengths but I just cant seem to find a level that works. I find myself pretty competent when it comes to learning curves but Im not sure if this one is even possible...

Does this mean the stuff we've been shown pictures of is being completely redesigned? I thought they were close to release last time I checked.
Just trying to see how far out any temp control mod is for the Herc. I've been holding off buying a 3rd party bc I thought a W9 version was coming out at the beginning of this year. I don't know if I can hold out another year.

I haven't used mine in awhile, but I was filling it to the bottom of the U in the logo I think. I remember someone else putting a little extra silicone tubing on the mp which let them get away with filling it up more. I had my disc pretty much screwed to the top inside too. I usually got a little water in my mouth, but I didn't mind it. I emptied and filled it every time I used it.

It did work the first session but when I went back the next time for one is when I had the problems. I was hoping I wouldnt have to change the water every session but it looks like thats what might need to be done...

Did you draw air through the cartridge to keep the air path open when you were done with the Okeanos?
One thing I found is if I used the Okeanos and left it unattended at the end, and went back for a next session, is that the oils in the KISS cart / AC coil would solidify and clog the air hole. This meant a sure fire leak if I unscrewed the Okeanos base because the oil seals the hole and makes a negative pressure chamber that draws water in from the upper chamber.
One easy way to fix this is to always draw air through the Okeanos at the end of a session to make sure the airpath stays clear.

Oh, I wonder if that's what happened to me. I've flooded the bottom chamber with water a couple of times and I couldn't figure out why. I thought it was screwing on the mp too tight and breaking/bending a seal..
No this happens when a reverse suction is created. A little hard to explain but once oil starts to flow back down and pulls air with it from the top what this does is the water gets pulled down and once a syphon is created the water just drains down.
So making sure it's cooled down and when pulling the Okeanos away from your mouth make sure you are still inhaling.

any word on when the new system to run the hercules will be out? last i heard you were reclaiming the name "8" for it from the mechanical persei. i was just browsing the w9tech.com site and pickings were slim so i'm hoping this means the new line is close? i need a new oil vape for on the go and i'm terrified to leave the house with my irreplaceble iris/herc 71.

This was the video that I based my decision on buying the okeanos but I feel like I couldnt get anywhere near that volume of water for some reason. I cant put more than a couple of drops in mine. If I go above
the bottom of the u logo , no matter how I hold it or how slow I pull , no matter what level the splash guard is at,
I get a good amount of water in my mouth.
Do you guys hit them vertical or tilt it back like the guy in the video is doing?
Im not gonna give up yet !
To properly use the Okeanos you must adjust the deflector all the way up, and slow inhales.
Due to the short air path any hard pulls will will water into mouth.

I would suggest tilting the Okeanos for less splash compared to holding it completely vertical. I have tried both 1 and 2 splash guards, there is a small difference in performance by adding a second guard but most of the effects can be achieved by running the deflector nearly all the way up the tube. the lower guard acts to anchor the meniscus of the water not to prevent splashes against the air intake holes.
Please forgive the coughing (i suggesting turning the audio off) but see this video for an example of vaping oil out of a KISS cart inside the Okeanos.

Just as I get the hang of the okeanos , I am now having problems with the persei. It keeps flashing 3x everytime I press the button, I checked everything over for loose connections, recharged batteries, no luck....

@THC SCIENTIFIC Hey If I place an order here soon to get replacement coils for my Hercules do you think I could get some of those plastic bits that seal the center post to the threaded connection?

that would probably be a version 4 top then is there a silver plate on the top held on with 2 screws? if so its a v4 and its a touch sensor not a tactile button

I thought that was a possibility. Still a no go. The light flashes when batteries go in, but that's it.
you still have to tap it 5 times to turn it on keep trying mine is a pain in the ass every time lol

Im about to order the alpha centauri w/ 501 mod thread and plan on ordering the joyetech cuboid to run it on. I am having a hard time deciding which batteries to buy..... what 18650s brand and mah are best for powering the the alpha centauri on a 510 mod box ?
