i am glad the instructions explain the touch function well, one of my worries. Thanks for the info.

They are really straight forward and it walks you through everything. It's only a few pages but so many things it seems like. I'm working on saving my temps and adjusting the boost in a little bit. This vape is so neat I don't want to stop playing with it.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I actually have a VapCap and that's my unbreakable vape, the body is made of wood from @Ed's TnT.

Also comparing the look of the vapor between the mighty and Apollo isn't fair either IMO because and correct me if I'm wrong, the Apollo is convection and the mighty is a majority conduction. I would think the appearance of vapor would be 'better' in the mighty's case but the taste is where it's at! And I can't wait to taste the Apollo for myself.

I'm also a UnderDog addict so I doubt I'll be using the Apollo much at home unless I'm walking around and shit but the majority of my home vaping is in one room.

I do see this baby getting much use though, that's for damn sure! Espically with spring and summer coming up.

I do think "majority" is a bit of an overstatement, in regards to Mighty and conduction, but I'm gonna actually sacrifice a bowl for science because I am curious :)

Totally with you though, this thing looks sweet! High on my list, that video sold me lol

Mighty is mostly convection. It has a steeel ring around the bowl that brings conduction to the plate but it doesn't do the majority of the job, I tell you.
Very interested in this new vape!

I'm sure temp dependent, but I agree with @NickDlow actually after running it not hitting at 397 for 10 minutes...I'm heading out the house but I'll post some photos in respective thread later :)

But on that note, it's nice to look forward to a pure convection portable like this :) my FW should arrive tomorrow so that should tide me over...maybe cure VAS but the Apollo makes it tough..

@smutman thanks for the detailed description of taste and functionality.

As I saw that you also own an Arizer Extreme-Q, how would you compare taste and vapor production to the Apollo? And since you own a lot of portables is there a chance you can compare the harshness of the vapor to a FM V5.0S or a MFLB?

The description of this Vape from you lucky onwers really makes it hard to wait until my pre-order arrives :D

My Apollo should be shipping tomorrow based on my communications with Ville. Extremely excited to get it sometime this week. I'll be leaving for spring break for a couple weeks on Saturday, so unfortunately will only get a couple nights to get acquainted before that, but I will report what I learn during that time!

You're welcome and glad I could help. I use my Arizer EQ the most out of my desktops and this is the first time I ever thought about comparing a portable to a desktop that I can think of. I guess it's until now I had a portable rival a desktop. The taste goes to the Apollo because the boost can shoot full power for a few secs (or however long you decide to hold it) and blast you with a very tasty treat. I get great taste with the Apollo and get a really good taste with my EQ. I vape at 360-370F for 30mins on the EQ and around 4-5 setting for 5-10 mins on the Apollo and get really decent vapor from each at those temps.

I own a FM 5 and a MFLB and the FM 5 is in my vape graveyard and the MFLB is headed there now due to the Apollo if that tells you anything.

@smutman I checked your Instagram und you really have an awesome collection of Vapes and Glass. Obviously also liked your pictures of the Apollo a lot. :)

Thanks for the specific answer regarding the MFLB und FM. Really helps trying to anticipate the great taste while waiting. :D

Those next couple of weeks might get tougher than I thought.

Thank you and I appreciate it. It's taken me probably close to 3 years of collecting to get where I am now with my vapes and glass. I thought that was the best way to explain about the FM and MFLB lol. I do really like the Apollo. This vape has given me nothing but pleasure since the first puff. I'm not trying to take away from any other vape (every vape is good in their own way or situation for the most part) but this thing was really opened my eyes then made them to where you could blind fold me with dental floss. I hope you get as much pleasure as I have from the Apollo when you get yours.

Exciting to see all of these vapes getting a happy home recently. Now who is going to give us some first impressions?

Looks like I am the lucky one who has a package trapped in customs. Was supposed to have it today, but that's not gonna happen. Now I have no idea what it's fate is. I hope it doesn't get sent back.

Same here, but luckily my finances relieve me of the burden of temptation
Heh, when I say 'must resist', I mean, 'I must resist selling my kid's PS4 to allow me to pay for this wicked looking little bit of vape tech' :brow: :disgust:

I wish I could afford this vaporizer - there would be no temptation, or hesitation. It would be mine.

FEEEEEEEEED me Seymour! :freak:

I got my dark oak Apollo today! I only had a few minutes with it so far but wow, this vape is a real beauty for sure!

I had to read the instructions to figure out how to turn it on, and keep it on (very nice feature) and then I ran a quick .3 unground bud through it, starting at level 6 for a hit, and then up to 7 for another, and then up to 8 for another hit. I seriously love playing with the boost. :)

By this time, vapor was really rolling good and with the 140mm glass all lit up by the bulb, it gives you great visual feedback of what is going on. I turned it back down a bit and used the boost from there to finish it off. I lost track of how many hits I took as I had to stop after the 4th or 5th hit.

I came back a half hour later and checked the herb. It was still greenish on top but crunchy as I pushed it down to the screen/no stir . I fired it up again and took several more hits (lost count) until it was about done. I was riding the boost on and off most of the way. It rocks!

The flavor is great with this one! The abv is much more like convection abv than conduction abv, imo. I think the darkest/scorched bits were closest to the heat of course but there was no combustion at all, even on max boost. I don't think I need a hotter bulb personally, but I may play with it someday.

The touch sensor works great and I like it more than I thought I would. I was worried my hands may be too dry for it to work right or something? So far, I like this vape very much, but I am not much of a vape reviewer.
