Underdog Log Vapes

Is the one on the right a birch from the holiday sale? I just ordered one, I can't wait to get it. I've been eyeing logs for years now.

That's what mine is from! Also birch. You're going to love this thing! The more I play with it, the more I like the SS tipped stems from my WDZ. The glass has amazing taste, but I need to adjust the o ring and maybe the screen in the stem itself to get it to toast as much as I'd like. As it is now, I can empty my glass stem into an old WDZ ss-tipped stem and get a few more hits. I've also noticed the SS stems I have get stuck in the heating element. I thought there were magnets in there at first. It isn't an issue at all, just a curiosity the physics of which I've been trying to wrap my head around.

Some of the SS we use for the tips was a little oversized last time and that extra few thousandths of an inch causes some of those to catch in the center tube of the core just a bit. I never thought about it but I guess it does kind of feel like it could be magnetic.

If it makes you feel better, I immediately assumed the one on the right was Birch too  I've been around Birch enough that I feel like I should've known  That Wild Maple can be a tricky one to peg :spliff: but I think the issue here is, that was clearly a deceitful picture! :nope: ;)

WAIT WAIT! You guys are confusing me again!

It's BEECH, right?

Not Birch?

So I wasn't the first one who got it wrong after all, LOL!

All I know is the website said Birch for the holiday sale. :tinfoil:

The ones in this thread picture are Beech.. I htink

Yeah it can get confusing because we've had both, first Beech and then Birch as either monthly specials or Holidays specials. The one on the left side of the picture a page back is definitely Beech though as @Buildozer noted.

Just a heads up Dogs, we're going to be traveling Fri-Sun and will be mostly out of touch so be patient and we'll get back to you on Monday when we're back.

The one recommended on the Underdog site - I'm getting this one, already got the special cord for it from Underdog.

Nice choice, that Tekpower while a little big (physical size) is about the most reliable we've used over the years, we actually bought them wholesale and carried them for a while 3-4 years back.

Slaving away and door shops - two things I don't care for! :brow:

Funny we were just at Nobby's tonight for dinner and had dinner at the brewery last week and did indeed drink some Torpedos.

We're actually headed down to San Jose for the weekend for a BJJ tournament that we're sponsoring a couple of fighters in. :ninja::cool:

Gotta love Nobby's! :mmmm:
If I lived up there I'd probably have 2 months before I was restricted to a Rascal scooter and in some serious burger debt  Throw a pack of Torpedos in the mix and I'd probably end up grubbing my Nobby's on the floor, like I was the Hoff of NorCal! ;) :lmao:
Ok.... I think I might have got left in the oven a little too long tonight :ko:

Got mine today, I love it. I've been using it all day since it came in haha. I definitely prefer the nylon stems to the glass so far. Unfortunately my dog got a hold of my 18mm NonG maybe an hour after I took it out of the box...hopefully I can fix it with some fine sandpaper.

Interesting. I've been out of town for all but 2 days since I got mine. In my short time with it, I liked the glass better because it was easier for me to see the load. (Distance from heater, color of herb during a session, etc)

Why do you prefer the nylon? I'm not criticizing, just hoping to learn tricks as this is my first time with a log vape.

Thanks!

Apologies if this is off-topic because this is dog related but not necessarily underdog related, but I just want to put out a reminder/psa to be really careful with dogs and cannabis. Unlike with humans, it's actually very poisonous to dogs and can be fatal. Make sure your stash isn't in a place where your dog can consume it!

I like that it holds a little less, and it seems a little easier to get really thick hits than the glass. Since I can kill it in one hit I get greens every time. It helps to conserve bud too.

Had a dog who ate the 6 cookies ( 3 human doses) I was going to take to work. Had them in a sack in a baggie on the counter. Ran to get gas before work, came back to tore up sack and baggie. 55 lb doberman passed out on my bed. Left wife a note saying I will bury when I get home from work.
3 days on bed. Changing towels wife placed under him. Eventually no harm, no foul but I was on notice from wife for a while. Hell I wasn't the greedy piggy but what ya gunna do?

Quick question for those of you with the Tekpower box - what voltage do you use for different things? I just got mine, and am going to start experimenting today, but are there any folks who have experience with it, and have best practices?

I plan on finding a setting good for aromatics, and another for for herbal vaporization. I've got it set to 5 currently, and heating up for some lavender oil.

***Edit - I did some searching*** Sounds like 5-8 for aromatherapy, and 12.5-13.5 for herbs. :)
