Hi Osolx26,
Could you kill a full chamber in 1 hit without a cooling appliance or water accessory ?

:myday:
I personally can't, no, but other people can (and have). It also depends on what you consider a full chamber. The general consensus is that 1/2 - 3/4 full is optimal because any more than that obstructs airflow and you can't get a very good hit. I generally fill mine about 1/2 way because that's just where I personally like it. Also, if you pack the herb down after you fill the chamber that's going to force you to take more hits because, again, obstructed airflow. I generally take smaller hits than most people which is why I said a 1 hitter doesn't necessarily have to kill the load in 1 hit, just that it's meant to be a personal piece.

So most people uses it 1/2 or 3/4 full? Didn't know that, I usually fill it full while tapping on the side. Full but fluffy, never pack it.

Should I start trying less then?

Would you say the Crafty produces a cooler Vapor than the GH?
Yes (for herb heated at the same temp), in my opinion, it's mostly' related to the length (surface area) of the vapor path. Be careful not to mix up air path and vapor path. A longer vapor path cools down the vapor after it was heated at the proper temperature for vaporization but loses some efficiency through condensation (honey oil). To have cooler vapor with the hopper (or any vaporizer) you need to lower the temp (put it on 3 instead of 5) or use a bubbler or other stuff (like silicone tube, mouthpiece, drawing some cool air at the same time while you toke) to cool down the vapor. Some people are less affected by warmer vapor than others it depends on the person.

YES! try less. I occasionally get tempted to pack more in and the get reminded that the best flavor and clouds come from putting in LESS. You repack more often. it it's worth it.

What temps do you usually use with 1/2 or 3/4? Pretty backed right now finishing my day with the EVO, but will continue testing my GH tomorrow :science:

I usually temp step, starting around 2, ending around 4, and I put in waaaay less than 1/4 a bowl, really just a pinch

Hows your tolerance since you got it? If your tolerance went up and you're taking a lot more rips now, the units going to be getting a lot hotter, especially if you don't turn it off in between hits.

The thing is though I put it at 3.5 and seem to grab it because of the VB viper mouthpiece I'm using. I might be trippin but it's almost like an electric show when I touch it. Is that even possible ?

Honestly, I don't care enough at this point. Like I said, I'm only using it on rare occasions when stealth is necessary. It took a month to go through the warranty process last time and I'm too tired to go through that bullshit again. Oh, also, idk if anyone remembers how I said they didn't send me a tracking number even though they said they would. Well, they did send me a tracking number...4 days after the package was delivered. I'd rather deal with this defective piece of shit and then toss it in the trash when it finally completely shits the bed than go through their terrible warranty process again. If they manage to stay afloat and eventually put out another product, I won't be buying it. Terrible customer service, terrible business practices, and questionable quality control just cost Hopper Labs another customer.

I happened to break out my pax2 today. My hopper has been my daily driver for quite awhile now. It's interesting when you use different vapes at different times they all have something special about them for a given time. I think this is what floats our vape addiction. It's how I use different strains. I really love variety in flavor and cannabinoid profiles. I don't like sticking to one strain or one vape. I like to miss it features and come back to appreciate it. Pax2 was beautifully light and flavorful. Made me fall in love again until my next tryst!

it happened that i gave away my Pax2 to a friend after a month of use. cleaning that device is just too much hustle for me :cuss:. i'm lazy stoner. and quality of Pax vapor is nowhere near to what Solo can give. only Pax advantages i see is that it is small and with decent sized bowl.

hoping not to have a problems with Hopper mouthpiece cleaning...

Just wanted to return the favour here as the good folk from this forum are always so helpful and friendly - for all those undecided or still waiting...

I wasn't 100% owing to mixed reviews especially with regards to the heat but I took the plunge and ordered from Vapefiend yesterday and it arrived this morning - top class premium service - THANKS VAPEFIEND!

For all my doubts this is one serious bit of kit. I find taking small sips better than blasting it for dry use owing to heat build up - not long into the testing process but very impressed with it so far.

Extraction is A1 and cooks nice and even I had it on 3-3.5 setting and I had a good dare I say it "session" with it very pleasant the whole way thru but as I say sips not blasting it. After about 5 mins that was game over for the battery.

Just wanted to share this in the hope that it helps someone else and to say well done to Hopper Labs for what must be a revolutionary device.

:)

@Bass Vaper

Are you an unusually strong person? Just curious man, maybe your grip/fingers push the button, wrench the dial a lot harder than you imagine?

I just rewatched @BuzzDanklin infamous test video of the hopper he made with his friend. From that video the battery life seems pretty good to me. I counted..

4 hits on temp 3
4 hits on temp 4
4 hits on temp 5
2 hits on temp 5 (bubbler)
10 hits on temp 3.5
7 hits on temp 4.5

I feel like this would last me days! Assuming a good battery of course, but they're relatively so cheap if one is bad it won't really matter as long as you have a couple good batteries.

Hi AgentXero,
I suspect that there was some editing involved between "takes"(tokes?). I doubt that he got 31 (!) draws from a single battery charge, but I could be mistaken. Unfortunately, since I am waiting patiently in pre-order purgatory, I do not have the opportunity to conduct my own extensive (make that verrry extensive) field trials.

He must have the greatest battery they've ever produced. I don't have the time to go back and watch the whole video right now, but there's simply no way he got 31 hits off of 1 battery.
