@RastaBuddhaTao if @Ed's TnT is going to be making a black wood Milaana count me in!

Black wood with green glass! Hell ya!

I would gladly order another! Give me a reason!:D

I'll order it right now!!!

Haha Vape Dr I am so glad you finally got in on this and Zion, I can't wait til you can share thoughts on these beasts. Wish you had joined us all here and there sooner!

Blackwood and green glass sounds sexy as hell dude... I am hoping for some Flame Box Elder with orange glass personally... Or maybe just Purpleheart with blue glass... (one of each?!) But damn the sheer variety of options is endless and so mouthwatering its ridiculous

Luckily we have plenty of time think about it, because I know it is still a long ways away. Hopefully bringing @Ed's TnT aboard made it closer to becoming a reality (particularly the idea of individual customs sold at a premium). It definitely makes it better overall

Good afternoon everyone, wow got quiet a bit done in the shop as far as one hole went, bout all but a step or two from being out of it, now time to jump into another one! As much as I would like to do a blackwood anything this large I dont think there is anyone that would want to pay that much for it. Just the block of wood alone to do this in Blackwood could go for as much as $2-300. Some woods are mostly found in smaller pieces, these smaller pieces can be found readily available for a not so bad price, blackwood is on the upper end of expensive wood though even for smaller pieces, I have found one piece that would fit the bill for such a project as this and it was that expensive as I said above. Alot of wood species are like this for the most part.

Now for what I have just done in the shop and finished up, I have 3 ready to go Maple Zion/Milaana stems 18mm, I need 3 guys to step up and get me a PM with shipping info so I can get them out to you all on Monday. Still working on getting tooling here for the Milaana so hang in there with me!

Here we have it, these are just a tad under 4"L and should work out very well or least I hope so! Get me those Pm's guys!

They are made out of wood which we all know comes in some beautiful colors and grain patterns.
I posted, what seems like a life time ago, about all the glass colors and patterns.
It doesn't stop there. Some one mentioned about pyrography or hand carving.
I also posted a shit load of stuff that could be made if @RastaBuddhaTao ever sells 'builder kits'.

I will again give @mvapes a plug as his sand blasting on glass is the dogs bolox and there is no reason why his technique couldn't be employed on wood. As typing this it just came to me there is no reason why Scratched Glass couldn't do stems. His current set up is working really well with fine lines.

Ah @Shit Snacks so many possibilities! I do regret missing the Beta Zion run but I'm in now!

I'm thinking one of each!:D

**EDIT IN***

@Ed's TnT Very nice!

If I like the milaana half as much as I'm sure I will I would have a problem shelling out the cash for a super sexy Milaana!

I think you meant "would not have a problem" buddy ;)

I actually agree many here would shell out for a special custom unit some day, especially once they try out the regular models first... Myself included, would make wonderful gift, aHEM

And gorgeous work as always @Ed's TnT! Those do look pretty perfect size and shape wise, hopefully we can verify soon enough and move onto exotics here though :brow: less wood less cost aye?

I have also noticed that logs don't usually come in Blackwood, definitely a nice hard expensive wood, but there may be some other more easily viable options for the future like walnut or cherry perhaps...

Regardless, full steam ahead on the Maple for the foreseeable future, nothing wrong with that

@SiDankies still plenty of the first run available I believe, so you will get it sooner for sure. However the "release" will be soon after, the processes are in place to churn out several hundred of these after the first batch I believe, once Ed can start supplying bodies

@GTAVaper stem length is about 4 inches for the medium stem (standard Zion stem), the long stem is about an inch longer, and I am not yet sure if standard short Milaana stems are 3 inches, 2 inches, or anywhere in between

Aw, this is all so exciting!
What looks to be a really fantastic vape is now going to be EVEN BETTER!
If it turns out that Ed is able to cut a custom body from exotic wood I'll be in danger of losing it completely!

Thanks for the info Shit Snacks!

I don't have any 18mm glass stems to check the inner and out diameter but then I remembered that I have one of those bubblers from DHGate that takes both a removable 18mm mouthpiece as well as a whip connection. This is the same mouthpiece that someone was posting a while back stating that they had taught "Johnny" (I think) to play the trumpet. So this should also come in handy for when I get my Milaana.

Anyways, I measured that glass piece and the external diameter was around 15mm - so I guess the Zion glass stems would be the same and probably have the same internal dimensions as well - unless the glass is thicker.

I didn't order anything extra besides the Milaana since I wasn't sure what was included with that package since it is still the old description on the site. Also, the price has gone up since it was available for pre-order earlier so maybe like the Zion it might now include a battery?.

So I was going to wait and see what the package included before adding to my order........I am hoping that at least one battery will come with it since the Zion also included batteries when the price went up after October 2015 but I have no idea what stems might be included or whether a stir stick is included since they aren't available in RBT's store that I can see.

Q1. Will RBT definitely contact me prior to shipping and after the "package" has been defined so that I can add stems at that time?

Q2. I also collect high powered flashlights - so I have a lot of both protected/unprotected batteries
and a lot of high drain IMR's. The Zion/Milaana would be unprotected of course but I was wondering whether the battery storage only takes flat tops since that is what the pictures appear to show.....but hard to be certain since only one terminal is showing in all pictures.

I do have a couple of brand new flat top Samsung high drain batteries like the ones RBT sells that I picked up for a tough little mod box (Invader Mini - water resistant - covered in rubber) that I was using for a Seego e-pipe attachment. The batteries are still brand new because it saw very little usage since I got back into vaping last May just after I picked up the mod and e-pipe attachment - so they would be perfect to power my new Milaana.....but it would be nice to get one battery with it too.

I was going to get the Zion when it was at $200 - it was either on Sept 31st or October 1st at the latest and I actually had the thing in my cart and was able to pull up a Canadian shipping option and check out. But then I saw the note requesting that I contact RBT for an international order.

So I filled out the form but then never ever heard back from him which kind of soured me on a Zion purchase initially just because I basically lost out by following the directions instead of just checking out. But then after further reading, I realized that he was busy building and probably hadn't seen my request until much later. I was going to contact him with a couple of alternate email addresses some FC'ers gave me to reach him but then I had a hard drive crash.....and BSOD memory related issues that I had to sort out before I had a chance to try contacting him. Then when I returned after the store opened again - I think in January sometime - the price had gone up even more to $269......although it did include 2 batteries with the new price......so I never bothered trying to reach him after that.

So after the 2 price jumps, the store being shut down for a period, and my own computer woes where I wasn't doing much but researching computer repair and data recovery on my tablet in my free time for much of November/December (until I got my main machine working properly again) - the new cost, combined with extra costs for double shipping from a US address and also the really crappy Canadian dollar......I decided to leave it for now.

But I am happy that I will be able to get a Milaana shipped up to me here in Toronto, Canada.
From Mr. Peanuts description of this as a "Zion Killer" and his temporary abandonment of his Zion (from what I read in that thread) then I am hoping that the Milaana will give me the same performance as the Zion.....but with shorter battery life and a little learning curve required to learn how to cycle the button so I don't combust......which is a little bit of a concern since I use my vapes mostly though water and I recall that part of the feedback that helps prevent combustion is the heat of the vapour itself.

I will be very interested in your thoughts as well as the "Krazy dude from Detroit" on using it through water......and I hope that when he posts his video that he will demo this as well.

I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on my Milaana ......especially after not getting an answer for my international shipping request on the Zion and missing out on it at that time.......but if it works just as well then it might have all worked out for the best in the end.

Had I initially purchased a Zion back in September/October.......I might have liked it so much that I would have had to get the Milaana.....just because it is so discreet and sexy looking.

Come to Papa Milaana! Whose your daddy?...... my sexy little Eastern European porn star :brow:

Last picture above ^^^ is that a little stash hole right next to the mouthpiece? Can't work it out looks like somethings stuffed in there.
Yeah, I think so too. There's material in it... How would this work? Will there be some kind of cap to put onto to close and protect it (and keep the smell and pocket lint away)? :)

Right, there was something...
I think @Shit Snacks was it? Might be wrong tho.. But that would be strange, if it was that way when looking at the current pic. Man, the guessing is almost as fun as Veggies contest. :)
Keep your thoughts coming - in the end we're gonna receive enlightened! :D

lol yes it is the air inlet, and I believe there is a filter bc of its size and location this time around, just some stainless steel mesh to keep any unwanted particulates from getting into the heater (where they would surely be burnt up instantly regardless) and contaminating your vapor. I am very curious about this new feature, so rest assured i will inspect throughouly when I have one in hand...
