I have the solid valve and I just put the tube on top of the herb chamber. It doesn't attach to the chamber in any way, but it worked just fine. Holding the tube was enough to make airtight seal and there was no need to press down hard.
Speaking of nails... Something I have wondered...
On the left is the nail that came with my EVO. On the right is the nail they sent me as an apology for delaying my shipment of the Evolver Hydratree. I'm observant enough to notice the visual difference between the two. Are they both glass, or is the one on the right quartz?
I knew there would be some confusion with Vapexhale changing the quartz nails and the direction of the slots.
I asked on here a while ago when @stonemonkey55 mentioned it, if there would be a way to tell the new from the old and the glass from the quartz but my question was either missed or ignored

I have an old glass nail (on it's last legs lol) with a slot that goes upwards from left to right: /
How can we be certain of receiving the new quartz instead of the old glass if the bases are the same and the slots are the same direction now?

My quartz nail that broke looked just like the one on the left. The tube section sticking above the rim/lip is shorter and works in my evolver hydratree. I have a 5 pack of glass nails and they all look like the one on the right and do not work with the hydratree as only Quartz will work with it.

Got my vaporizer unit a few hours ago. I ordered the tube and the evo on sunday evening. Both were shipped on monday. The tube got here on thursday and the evo took a day longer arriving today. Thumbs up for vapefiend and vaposhop for quick deliveries.
I tried it with some low quality trimmings. I got nicely baked from the small amount of herb, so I'd say it works just fine. I upped the temp at the end and resulting abv looked very scorched, almost black. I was surprised at how black the abv was as the last hits were not that horrible.

Different vaporizer's I've vaped SHATTER, CRUMBLED, BRITTLE, TAFFY, OIL.
They all fill a need of some kind.
The EVO is very powerful and gets it done, "End of conversation".
I finally understand the BUD TENDERS saying the EVO is all they own?

I think it depends on which hydratube you bought with your bundle. Older tubes don't work with the glass nails so VXL throws a Quartz one in for you.Cheers for that Likes2vape - I knew that post from @stonemonkey55 was here somewhere . . .

Hey all , i'd like to say after eyeing the Evo for quite some time Vas has gotten to me once again and i have purchased @stickstones Evo from Smokey here on the forums. No HT but i have plenty of glass & i am excited to join you all . Now i have to prob sell another vape or the misses will most likely kill me but i may be able to just pass this off as my arizer eq with her and tell her it had a baby. I usually tell her i got it for free for testing lol but i dunno how long that will work as shes been seeing allot of free stuff lately. Any tips , tricks or info to prepare me would be awesome & enjoy your weekends.

So do you pack the elbow and put that into the evo's 18mm glass connection ? What type of grind ? How long does a session last from a full packing and how long should heat up time be ?
Pack the ELB and insert into 18mm connection.
Any grind works. I've tried them all. Unground peices work great as well!
I never pack my ELBS full. Usually about half way and I can get anywhere from 5-10 good milky draws depending on how big your hits are and how fine you grind. I would do 5 minutes on 3oclock or max whichever then dial it back to 12-1. I know you like big rips so 1 o'clock is pretty good

yeah, you'll be tempted to load up the elb, but 1/3 to 1/2 full is best for both efficiency and effects. For flowers you don't need to think much...it's easy. It's the nail that you need to bone up on.

What does your 5 pack box say they are?
Mine look like the one on the right, I just got them last week with my valentine's package, and they came in a box of 5 that says: "VapexNail" and under that it says "Quartz"
Fingers crossed for a St Patties day sale or something good soon. My Birthday is in March and that would push me to ask for this for sure! The Evo 2 may be out by the time I actually pull the trigger lol!

So just a mini follow up to my previous post on here saying I was probably just going to use the standard mouthpiece the majority of the time...
After using my Honeycomb for an entire day, I feel like I jumped to conclusions. I really liked it way more than the first few times I used it, and it will likely now get more use than the standard mouthpiece!
Coming from only using a MFLB for 6 years (only accessory is the PA 2.0 I got back in November), I can say the introduction of water put me off at first - keeping it clean was my main complaint. After a solid day of use, I will not complain about having to clean this magical water bubbling device!
And I may or may not be looking to acquire more hydratubes in the near future...
Oh, and definitely order from the manufacturer, they're awesome! Use coupon stickstones to get 10% off - I think that's the right code to use, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
My box also says BOROSILICATE.

I find after using the EVO that the solo doesn't do it for me anymore. I'll use it on a road trip but the EVO has me spoiled.
When I started smoking weed you had to snap your bong load or you got skipped the next round.
I learned to smoke weed from a bong and the EVO replicates it for me.
I do miss the "snap" sound of a bong load. The sound it makes when you sink it.
I 100% feel if you don't use the EVO with a hydratube or bong you are missing out.
I smoked bong loads for 27 years and the EVO delivers bong like rips!
