That's gonna be a super nice first dbl though. I can see how the waffle would be real airy. My vg gets like that with low water as well and I never really liked it. From what I've seen the inv showerheads have a tiny bit more chug because of the stemless but it's not bad at all. I actually like a little bit of chug. I don't even know how tall it is but I don't even care. Man I can't wait.

I got mine from Preston himself. No shop tax added and no wait  but that obviously doesn't happen often

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice pick up dude. I'm trying to get Preston to make one of these... but instead of a worked waffle with gridded showerhead AC, I want one that is just one piece, like a dub bubb,

Anythings possible with him. He's been putting out amazing stuff recently. Worked waffles, dbl waffles, king dubbs, and worked gridded inverted showerheads. I don't even know what to expect from him next. I'm just honored he gave me a chance to own one of the gridded inv showerheads outta the first batch. Plus getting a matching gridded ashcatcher was icing on the cake. I just need to get a mouth piece to use it as a bub. Preston said he was out but to check back in a couple of weeks and he might have something. I'd like to keep it all SGW if I can. I can't freakin wait to see how these gridded showerheads work.

The double waffles went on sale at like 3 am EST in BM chat a week ago. Inv showerheads got posted yesterday or the day before in BM chat.

I think the bi polar double waffle is still available.

What is this BM chat you speak of?
I'm trying to decide between a waffle or a inverted showerhead, both are sgw. I'd like to hear any thoughts/opinions on these two?

Bm=boro market. I dunno who was movin them on there though. And you need to pay to get in...

I have an inv showerhead on the way and I can tell you when it gets here. I've never had the chance to hit a waffle either :/

from what I've heard they both diffuse amzingly waffle is a bit more airy and the inv sh will have a little bit of chug due to it's stemless design. They both clear instantly with no drag. Get one of each if you can lol

LOL your not making it any easier telling me to get both!! Even though i'm sure I will own them both.. one day.
This is my first high end glass buy and i've heard alot of people say waffles are awesome, but haven't heard as much about showerheads. It just looks like a cool design to me. Hmmmm
This is a hard decision

If it's your first high end peice you'll be happy either way.

Q: lovin that dbl waffle. I like how he worked the bottom of them and the holes are getting so uniform and perfect. And I love that color pull. I'm pretty sure that matches SM55's tree stem. Making me super excited. I haven't heard anything on mine yet though :/

Quomist - fuck yeah! that double waffle is SO SICK!

@ Blaze - you can't go wrong with either. The showerhead and the waffle are two designs that most people agree diffuse incredibly. The waffle is newer technology so it gets a little bit more buzz right now but the gridded showerheads are no joke either.

If you have seen my SGW Samurai Dubb, I have a waffle stem and a showerhead stem. Personally, I prefer the showerhead but on any given day, I drop the double waffle in there too.

Thanks for the nice words everyone. I'm also really happy to see the perfect grids on the waffle. My last one had lots of varying sized holes.

I think you made a good decision on the inv showerhead blaze, I find the single waffle perc too airy.

The perks on your new double waffle definitely look more professional than the old style, not to say the old style doesn't look good, they have a unique charm to them in their own right from an artistic, handmade kind of look. I don't know much about the art of glass blowing but it seems to me they are either using a special stamping tool with several points on it to make the pattern or they are cutting lines with a saw then filling in grids later, the old way it would seem he was poking a series of individual holes while the glass was hot. Anyone with more knowledge really know how they are made?

The color combination on your new tube is really classy quomist, nice pick up.

I think he recently changed his teqnique actually. Now this could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that the old ones he'd use a fine flame torch and blow each hole. Now he is using a diamond saw and cutting long cuts in the top and then going back and gridding it into a bunch of holes. That's how there so straight and if you look you can see how the cut fades out on the edges like it would with a band saw. Now I've never seen him do one nor has he come out and straight said it. That's my best guess anyways.

The diamond saw was one of my guesses and makes perfect sense, thanks for clearing that up.

That tube is great! Looks like it's right up my alley in both how it hits and colour.

The stacking is insane. Enjoy!

so what if it isnt name brand. the man is obviously proud of it so why harp on him for posting up a picture of a setup which hes proud of, that fits his needs, and hes happy with? does it realy concern you where/which/or why he even bought the bong? and say if the bong in question was made in china, does that make it any less of a quality product? i doubt every thing your own home isnt made in the USA. so what a few companies are shady and do shady work over there, cant the same be said about american factories too?

so what he doesnt have the money to go out and buy a 2000 dollar roor. does it make him any less of a person for trying to save a few dollars for things he felt are/were more important? you dont know his life, background or job, so i dont feel its your place to sit there and judge him for something that doesnt concern you.

so can we please get on with this topic, because i would like to see some others' setups, and i would appriciate it if i didnt have to read through a whole page of someones bitching about if a bong was made in china or not when you cant even tell over the internet.
so well said props bro.
