Having the same issue as another member; package is stuck in San Francisco.
Called USPS, they say I can't open an inquiry for another 2 days.
Anyone have any experience with knowing how long this delay will last? Very unsettling. Been stuck for 3 days and no sign of anything changing.

Bloody customs man.. they can get really annoying whenever they get the chance.. I'd ordered an mp3/cd/usb/etc for my old car from the States and I had to pay almost double the price to clear it off the customs.. It turns out that it either has to do how you declare the item and the price that it has or that it says it has..
Anyway, my initial posting had to do with my technique so far.. Now that I'm torching the cap closely to get short milky hits if you don't have your torch either full or to a higher level, it feels like your lotus is not working properly.. as soon as you get your torch going clouds are coming out back again..

After a long week of waiting, my Lotus finally arrived yesterday!
Spent a little time with it last night while watching some Next Generation, first impressions:
Flavor is amazing! Tasted things in some Super Silver Haze that I never picked up on in the FM Mini, and the vapor tastes much "purer." The excellent flavor was still there even after two good draws (and one not so good, but I'll get to that).
Quality of the Lotus itself is outstanding, and the Aluminum Stem and WPA are similarly well-made. Solid and beautiful. I'm really glad I opted for the Aluminum Stem because it's so easy to just set down and not worry about.
Vapor production is also wonderful. After the first hit, I was blowing very large clouds with a fraction of the effort used for the FM Mini.
No comment on the efficiency, as I haven't really pushed things yet, but last night's sesh got me to a solid buzz with a small bowl (just covered the screen).
On the learning curve: There is definitely some technique involved, but overall I found it much easier than some have made it out to be! The first hit I took was underheated/produced wispy vapor, but that's mostly due to the lighter cutting out, which I corrected by holding it at a slight angle.
So far, very satisfied with my purchase. Cheers to you all again!
Comparing the taste of a Lotus to that of a Flowermate! It's not even a fair fight!

I cannot say what a flowermate tastes like, but what I can say is that Lotus' taste is daaaamn good..
I just had my afternoon after work session, half bowl, and my mouth tastes like it has been sprayed with thc and chlorofile.. with a bit of light I may photosynthesize as well...
Plus the fact that I never do full bowls any more.. I feel like wasting portion of it if its packed in it. When filled just about so that the screen is covered (around .06-.07g) and maybe a bit more for a bigger hit, you can control the ABV's color more effectively.

Yeah, full bowls are much more difficult to vape evenly.
It happened in my HI as well.
I feel the Lotus works way better with less than half full bowls. I sometimes do "barely covered bowls", it is good to save and the ABV is very even.
One other thing i noticed, is when barely covering the screen, when i'm close to the end of the session, the herbs are still light brown and then the last two hits i have to REALLY prolong the hit to brown the material and the vapour is very light. So, it seems that it extracts better this way.

I experience something similar when I low temp lsv.
I'll get huge rips and only get the herb to yellow. Seriously need to push it to get it to go brown, and that is normally a very bad taste, which leads me to believe I'm getting near full extraction, and the yellow that I try to vape is mostly plant matter at that point.
Cool similar results are achieved with the lotus.

I noticed this too finishing up a bowl the other night. Again, comparing to the Flowermate, the herb was a lot lighter brown than I'm used to. Still very evenly vaped though and never really got to the more popcorny taste, which is nice.

JUST got my Lotus...bout an hour and a half ago. I did two bowls and my friend did two bowls. Flawless results right out of the gate for both of us. Zico torch works perfectly, absolutely no issues yet. Feel of the torch is way more comfy than I imagined, and the weight is nice.
The Lotus cap itself (we only got the wpa version) is much larger than I imagined, but is exactly the size it should be. Look amazing on the D020-D. Stir tool is an amazing feature.
I've used the LSV and Nano as my Dailies, independently, over the past year, and the Lotus will most certainly hold up. It'll most likely be used more than my LSV for a while because of the tiny size and no cord. With my current setup, the cord can get quite annoying in a dorm room.

The Lotus is really great because it packs a punch, with loads of flavour and in a very small and handy body. Even with the WPA, the fact that there is no cord makes it so much simpler to handle and so much easier to stash away.

Got my hand & lips on wood : great feeling ! Will for sure post reviews infos/pics when time will be good, for now waiting for final part(s). You can use a really short stem if the angle is sufficient. Don't need 45° , 30/35° seems good enough. I can use as short as 8cm but you should not have huge stach, beard or most important : nose.
Already thinking about 2 other projects ! (need to fight WAS too now ! )
MT could also have in mind to build a mini wooden barrel with incorporate bowl just going out of the barrel (like the one from the al stem). Then you could use wooden stem to connect it to the barrel.. That could be lighter in weight than al stem or wpa+woods parts.
Vapman users can have beautifull arts claws as I have seen and been envious ... lotus as well but since the space is reduced the stem is where to go on custom !
Edit, Now I'm inspired : a glass bowl (simply think about a mini glass wpa fitting in a wooden barrel : BOOM ! )
Well, easy since I have all the parts at home, just need to cut that glass log-stem. Not sure if we can think of a benefit taste-wise when mixing glass & wood in the path.

Well I don't need to tell you guys that the lotus is cool, but hey the lotus is cool!
I found it easy as to use, whispy first hit but a thick milky hit on the second try. Fills up my 12" bubbler can easy. Its a really neat little setup lotus + wpa. This is going to be a sweet romance! And best of all no electronics to fail on me. Awesome traveler with the 9" d020-d - no flat batteries and basically instant vapor how could you go wrong?
The pouch is really nice too but I think the stirrer might wear a hole in it eventually, you can get the wpa in with the lotus but it's a squeeze. Think I'll just keep the lotus in it.

Enjoy it guys. You will probably combust eventually as you test the limits, but the learning curve is really not bad. Things clean up easy after accidents, too, just remember to grab the cap off quick so it doesn't get much smoke exposure.
The Lotus with the wpa is my daily driver and has been for about a year now. It's virtually indestructible, can hit as hard as you like, tastes great, and as long as you have butane you're good to go. Makes an amazing hiking or fest vape with the aluminum stems, too.

Good to know this will go away, even though I don't find it problematic. Only comes off in a quick burst, and the smell is actually refreshing and pleasant.

So today I've been running low on my stash.. had two hits earlier in the day and I was left with my last two, that under any other circumstances the amount I had (probably around 0.15 or something) would give me two sessions.. Anyway, my fav team was playing basketball tonight and it was an important one.. since I did not go to the stadium I decided to stay in and watch the match on the tele. There was the point that problem no.1 came up. Not enough ganja to watch the match properly... As a result, in the middle of the match I decided to clean my grinder that it was pretty packed as it finally looked like..
which I still have most of it and it will probably give me 2-3 bowls for sure..
Not to mention, I watched the game pretty vaked, my team won and I'm about to have another one before bed

I'm pretty good at getting low temp hits that aren't super milky, but when I really want to push it (which is often), I find it difficult to get a very even yellow/brown. There is always one spot that turns out really dark, and the rest will be an even yellow, as it should. I can just stir it and it mixes in, but it just shows that it's not vaping evenly. I go in circles, not really sure what else to do. One side of the plate is slightly raised more than the other, I wonder if this affects performance. I don't think so, but it still has me thinking.

well... yeah it's seems to happen if you draw to hard imo... but when I'm in the WPA instead of stiring I just rotate the WPA to get that even roast...
and I don't think it's the cap because of you rotate it the spot stays in the same place (in my case) that's why I think it's the draw

This is called skills and techniqure gentlemen.. And this is where you make the difference.. I'm not saying that I'm getting my ABV even all the time, but trust me it doesn't thrown away easily.. Most of the times the colour I'mgetting is brown to dark brown and fairly evenly spread and by having those not even half bowls makes it easier to have more efficient vaping and even ABV colour. Today I have probably had two sessions of even not .05 each one of them.. The bloody thing is a real killer.. even with the tiniest bits of weed you can get big enough clouds and sufficient medication!!
I've thinking lately about my next spending.. There have been many options available and I'm sure most of them will be very good choices as well.. No matter how much I want to try more electric vaporizers I'm seriously thinking of getting the black cap so that I have it as a back up and now that I know how to properly use it (well at least I think so) it will definitely last me forever, or somewhere close to that
I'm thinking of buying it from verdampftnochmal.de that the black cap is for 90€.. ouch that will hurt but for the lotus, oh well.. it worth it.. Does anyone know if there is any discount coupons for that shop if you're FC member?

I don't think there are. That must be a deal made between FC and the vendors and i dont believe there is one.
