Discontinued Supreme Vaporizer

Just so Dab HAppy!
I asked for extras when I emailed Ed but he only responded with a paypal invoice. I wasn't sure if he threw in extras or not and at first I thought it would have been nice but now I don't realize what good an extra tube would do? @stickstones Can you really reheat your Supreme faster than your tube cools down? If so I need to know what torch you have! I'm not saying I wouldn't like an extra tube here or anything, I am just wondering if it really makes much difference in the time between back to back sessions. I do see how it would decrease the effort between sessions.

The only other thing I could think of being benificial about having extra tubes is if you actually heat your supreme while you hit. If you do this you can start at lower temps and maintain them much longer which surely is fun but a lot more effort than it sounds like IMO.

Anyways, the tip on keeping a clean screen...using only a 10mm coarse screen set at the crimp in the heating tube. I load using the vacuum method until the heating tube is almost full. I leave about an 1/8" deep hollow. I then put my finger over it and blow through the screen side lifting my finger ever so slightly as to allow a little air through. This pushes the herbs off the screen so they dont stick to it during your sesh. I also dont load the heat tube until I am at optimal temps. I rarely have to clean my screen. I typically can just tap the end of the tube on my abvtray about 5 or 6 times and all the abv comes right out and I am ready to repack!

I don't personally bother using a screen. Throw some chunks in there if you can. Extraction is excellent and no need for grinded up material IMO.

okay I tried this and OMG great success! No more grinding! I'll save the blends for my Mighty. I thought the vapour would be wispy without grinding but not even close....super dense thick clouds! ABV came out PERFECT!

The vape sig on this thing is INTENSE....very strong...very, very strong...freight train strong if you're not careful.... and this is my first torch...and...well, the silicone piece right under the heat sink met the flame :( No biggie, just aesthetic, and i'm sure it can be swapped with the spare that was included...i think.

What an awesome night with the Supreme! I accidentally had it go to 210c but didn't draw on it then, but hit it at 190c and OMG! I thought I combusted it was that thick but I didn't!

My only concerns at this point are all the aluminum filings that i'm constantly seeing on the inside of the 1/4" of silicone that hangs out. And maybe blowing through too much butane! Probably due to waste, being a rookie with torch, new vape testing, etc.

Can't get over how SMOOTH the vapour is even at high temp, and how THICK and flavourful hits are at low temp!

I love this device so much, haven't used my Nano since I got it. I just wish the cables would be protected better. Had a little torch accident and damaged the clear insulation on the right cable a bit.

I can share your love dude! I just can't get over this little device! It's like it was made FOR ME! Initially I thought I would get my ol' skool dayz bong snap ritual satisfaction from the vriptech, but the v3 is on another level! Another night that I didn't touch my Mighty either...... the vapour quality, consistency, flavour, smoothness, thickness, and potency of the SupV3 just make me wonder in awe!

On my first night I got a little too medicated and started to not pay enough attention and hot the top silicone tube a bit warm.... it just turned a little white and flaked off, but the temp sensor cables are fine. I don't think the silicone pieces are difficult to replace.

Does anyone have a thermometer that occasionally has a "blank" for the decimal character. I swear that around 0 it will just go blank for a second. The thermo works great, it's just a little anomaly that I have noticed, but it doesn't bother me.

Also, does anyone ever "hear" things inside the heatsink? I know i'm not hearing "things", because i'm used the the voices inside my head  But it's like there is some crackling going on in the fins or something? Perhaps it's the herb getting cooked up (I distinctly remember "crackling" with my E-nano, and LOVED that sound), but it sounds like it could be the aluminum fins or a difference in temperature changing or something?

Ed really needs to work on the electric version of this thing! I would love to help fund a kickstarter for it since I love and support the Supreme so much. The torch is the bottleneck for me....not that it's a pain to use or takes long to heat up, but just the constant cost for butane, making sure you have some, the noise of the torch, maintaining the right temp, etc. It seems like the Supreme could be THE desktop vape! It truly is an incredible vaporizer, and IMHO the best overall vape for my personal preferences and needs. The Mighty will always hold its place as my favourite torchless vape.

I think the SupV3 extracts whole unground bugs better than my HerbalAire Elite!

Same thing happened to me. Bummer but i agree this would be a nice improvement.

@biohacker. I believe the Supreme lineup provides the best and most complete extraction of any material including full nug chunks. Especially when considering most of its competitors (in extraction ability) utilize a smaller bowl (herbalair, vapcap, vapolution, ect) and the Supreme can extract anything you shove into it perfectly through in minimal hits despite this bigger bowl.

I do notice better airflow than previous versions, but i do not believe the S3 extracts material any more completely than S1 or S2. I do prefer the new S3 "screen" system but for anyone who prefers ground material the S1 or S2 may have been the better vape for that, with a better screen system.

But for me, i may give them away the S1 and S2 or sell them eventually to someone who appreciates them (although lcd screen is currently non functional on both but maybe can be fixed). I can actually use the old ones very easily without temp display. Have for years. You can smell the wood heating before it is fully up to vape temp, and then you just test and glide your way into optimal temp in 10 to 15 seconds heating intervals. A little like the VapMan.

Big torches are more socially acceptable now than when i got the v1 or v2. People dab, but before people would really be hesitant to use the Supreme. It just looked intimidating as you torched the block for over a minute. Still is.

Anybody tried to replace the tube with a glass one?

Is it even possible?
I would think it is indeed possible. The outside diameter of the aluminum heating tube is 9mm. You would need atleast an 8mm outside diameter as the fixed rubber gasket would take care of the minimal tolerance/gap. The MFLB stem is way too small. The Hammer stem is 10mm outside dimension sobthe rubber gasket would hold it to mate it against the fixed shaft coming off the block but it would not slide in it like the heating tube does.

For optimal performance you want your heating chamber to be able to slide into the shaft, however it does heat well enough that you can just attach the block to glass adapters or such as smokey and I did on page 68.

No kidding! I have loved not grinding! I cannot even believe the extraction of this thing!

There is definitely VOODOO inside! I just need to figure out a proper "connoisseur" way to break off little piece of buds..... needlenose pliars?

Almost there...

How about a pair of tweezers?
I like to use a small pair of scissors and just gently cut the bud into small bits.
Still grinding sometimes though...

My rotation is the Supreme 3 and the Lotus!
Both butane powered vapes!
Have not plugged anything in for quite some time now!

I was thinking of a slip on heater cover that would fit over the block.
Something adjustable that would heat without a flame.
May have to head over to China and see what they can do for me!

I tried some high end tweezers the wife hooked me up with but they weren't strong and heavy duty enough. So the best success i've had are with a small pair of needlenose pliers or side cutters. Need to buy some spring recoil ones though! But a tiny pair of fine scissors sounds like the best thing!

Slip on heater sounds awesome! I love this vape!

Hahahaha loved the sign off. Scorch away!
Also glad to see someone still using the ol' DealXtreme HONEST torch. Mine's lasted 5yrs for $11.45

Thanks. Think i paid even less for them. At least 5 years ago. I think longer. Bought like 8, gave most away as gifts. I still have one unused in a box.

Another supreme night with the Supreme! I just can't get enough of it. Do you guys insert the tube and then heat or insert the tube after heating? Nice to have both options as the results are different. Instant vapour with it inserted due to conduction, and VERY thick cloudage, or insert after for a more convective experience, with amazing taste, and still massive clouds!

I know the Supreme has a patent on the heatsink, but damn I can see SO much potential for this kind of technology as a plug in desktop. No vaporizer i've ever used has come close to the SupV3 for performance and vapour quality/taste/extraction.

What size bowls are you guys using and what temps? I'm typically doing .05g bowls, or sometimes .1g, but can't seem to fit more than that (maybe .15g) without overfilling and affecting airflow too much. Using about 150c for the flavour hits, and usually when I heat up with the tube inserted, or go up to even 175-180c when I insert the tube after.

Anything over 180c i'm finding the taste suffers too much. Going to have to re-read much of this thread to gain a better perspective now that i've used the SupV3 for a while!

My current ritual is similar to yours:

Load around .05 to .1
Torch block to 160°C, resulting in around 185°C final temperatur
Insert bowl and let warm up until temp is down to around 175°C
Hit it.

The only vape I've used that can deliver hits that compare to the Supreme is the Sublimator.

Oh Boy! You just gave me VAS for a vape that I have ruled out many moons ago! How would the hits compare, and could they even topple the Supreme? The Sub Thread may become my new side project! It will give me time to save up some cash because I know the Sub is expensive.

Your block increases by 25c after taking the torch away? I've noticed that it can go up by about 10-15c but never much more, but I think it depends on how "fast" it's heating? And then the heat "runs away"? I also noticed that it goes up after the torch depending on whether I have the tube inserted or not. And will maintain temp better when tube is inserted when heating.

So many nuances and variables with this little beast!

Ran my torch at max for a test and ... well look for yourself :)

The Sub thread should deliver all the info you can need. What I can tell you in short is that a propperly preheated Sub will turn a way bigger load to vapor.
