I'm really curious if that stir rod really makes a difference in a conduction vape.. Soon we will know! :)
Yes, from what I understand conduction vapes prefer to be lightly tapped down. So stirring could be counter-productive or not... I would also like to know the effect of the relatively long vapor path. Does it produce cooler vapor at high temp than other vaporizers?

I will say, that the temp at normal heat ranges seems lower than most other portable vapes I've tried. It's pretty much body temp, and I don't notice much warmth at all. Very nice hits thus far.

Any options as of right now for water filtration? Would love to see a few one-hit bowl videos

Well, honestly, I'm a little underwhelmed right now. Here are my takeaways:

Draw Resistance: Good, No issues at all here. Feels like I could inhale almost normally

Draw Temp: Very good. Hands down the coolest hit out of any of the portables I own. Almost feels cool at temps under 7.

Flavor: Honestly, most of my hits are tasting overdone, and borderline burnt

Vapor production: I have to say, that I hope I'm doing something wrong. I get 4-5 little hits, and my herb is very dark brown. The unit seems like it is heating the material way too hot, and unevenly. I used .6 grams of material tonight, and I'm going to use some more. I've never, ever needed more than .2 grams of material in one night to get me to where I like to be. I've tried stepping the temp from 2, walking in .5 increments all the way up to 8. At this point, I am considering it the least efficient unit I've ever used. I think out of my units, the PAX2 had that honor prior, but it's not even close to how bad this is. I'm really hoping it's something I'm doing wrong, but I can't think of anything.

Have you tried a whole bowl on a medium to low ish setting? Is it possible to achieve consistent brown ABV? Sounds like some pretty poorly engineered conduction

I've tried a couple. One starting at 2, moving up by .5 increments up to five, and another from 5 to 7. Both times had really dark ABV material, and did not seem to have anywhere near the effect that much product should have had.

I've been chatting with the owner, who seems like a great guy. I'm hoping it's something I'm doing, or my unit. I really want to love this thing.

Hopefully one of the other folks who got theirs will come report a much better experience than me.

Do you pack your herb loose or tap it down? Do you use the stirring tool?

Packed fairly loose. As per the picture above, a gentle tamp tamp with the supplied tool. Stir in between every hit.

After a couple hits, the stirring rod gets packed a little with sticky herb. (As it is part of the vapor path as well)

That's a little disheartening. Mines on the truck and I should have it by time I get off. Hopefully I can post my opinion tonight. Maybe with more time you can figure it out more. I've had a few vapes that seem inefficient until I figure them out. Like the pax2 and crafty. Even with the Air I eventually doubled the effecnessness with a dome screen, or so it seems. I got a quarter last night so I've got plenty for tests. Coming here isn't making it get here any faster but I can't stay away. I'm finally feeling the excitement I felt when I clicked the biy button.

@Verax have you had to charge the batteries yet? How is the runtime on a single charge? :peace:

Great question, I can't believe I left it out. Battery seems really good. The display actually shows the voltage remaining on the batteries. My first 2 sessions were on the batteries, as they came out of the box. I believe they were at 6.4 voltage, I had 2 sessions, and that ran the batteries dry.

Since it came with 4 batteries, I had the other 2 charging. The charged batteries went from 8.4 to 7.2 in a single session.

I would guestimate 4-5 sessions per charge. I'll post back after more usage.

A couple of size comparisons: It's a little larger than the Firefly, and feels like about the same weight.

Thank you for the review work you are doing for us. That battery life is not unacceptable and something I think I could live with.

Thanks again @Verax

My pleasure! :)

Would love a sidekick vs. FM 5 or FM Pro comp, have you used either @Verax? How does the vapor compare to the pax 2

I have not used either of those. In comparison with the PAX2, the vapor flavor is about the same, tastes a little over-done for my preference, even in the medium heat zone. Vapor temp, the Sidekick wins hands down. I can't even tell that I'm getting vapor at all with the Sidekick based on heat alone. It just feels like you are inhaling. Sidekick is also way better with draw resistance. From an efficiency standpoint, the PAX2 used to be worst in my arsenal, but I think the Sidekick is worse. Battery I need to test more, but with 2 sets of rechargeables, the Sidekick can just keep cycling and be a party vape, where the PAX would need a charging timeout.

VERAX that is a very nice line up you got there. It also helps me understand that you are no rookie when it comes to vaporizing. So I have more faith in your reveiw.

Thanks :) I've only been vaping for about 1.5 years now, but I do have 1-2 sessions on most days.

So, I just had another session. I got good extraction, but it's still really inefficient.

The unit was on for a total of 1:37. I set it at 5, and walked up to 6.5. I took 3 six second hits. (stirring between each) I turned the unit off, and took 1 last six second hit.

I got decent flavor, not much visible vapor. Temp was great. When I opened the chamber, the material was the same dark brown. At this point, I'm considering this unit to be a one hitter. I know that I have to finish everything quickly, because the oven will cook it. I'll adjust tonight, and try to get 4-6 really fast hits within the first 90 seconds.

Don't get me wrong, I'm nicely medicated, but with most of my other vaporizers I would be in the light to golden brown range, and have another 2-4 hits waiting for me.
