Cloud chasing with other herbs?

Just enjoying some huge clouds with my LSV and the thought occurred to me.... Aside from some fine Tobacco, what else could one vaporizer purely for the intent of cloud chasing?

Not e-juice, not synthetic stuff. Just all natural herbs or plants.

I have always fancied trying one of these products.

Wish I know more about them. Maybe someone else has some experience they can share.

This intrests me because maybe I could reduce my MJ intake buy vaping non psychoactive herbs inbetween sessions.

Also I'd be interested to know if it screws with the flavor in your vaporizer and whether you would need a separate vape to keep your psycho from your non psycho. If you know what I mean.

Bump if anyone knows more. Purchased a few legal herbs and none produced good clouds yet. Would be nice!

marihuanilla , damiana , hops all produce clouds esp hops as they have a similar glands to vaporize not THC though :), marihuanilla is pretty nice esp mixed with some kind herb and it has a nice taste and clouds are ok, damiana has an acquired taste but does produce some clouds and the effects are quite nice.

I have also tried sweet flag but that was disgusting to vape and drink so not bothered with it most I got from vapefiend although I have had some st john wort extract and Blue lotus aswell from oher sources but other than a taste and effect not much cloudage......

Yeah I know it's late... but it still might be of help:
Sage (Salvia Officinalis) is rich in essential oils, and vaporized at 190°C will produce dense vapor clouds. Tested with a wild, mediterranean quality. Works great and has a nice and rich taste also.
And as said here What other herbs have you tried in your vaporizer?, might have interesting side effects..!

My mother grew some peppermint this Summer which vaped very nicely. On it's own I don't think it created real clouds like bud does, but the taste was great, and you definitely felt each hit in your lungs. I liked it so much I mixed it with bud, which I'd never do with any other herbs.

I'd be hesitant to vape herbs I bought, however, as I don't know how they were processed. I've tried vaping chamomile from bags, and there was a certain "processed" dry feeling that made it less enjoyable than vaping home grown herbs.

Hi! I like peppermint too. But as you say, peppermint alone has great taste but produces no vapor. But you can mix it with Sage and you'll get great taste and full vapor satisfaction. I live in Europe so I can easily grow Salvia Officinalis outdoor... don't really know if it can be growed anywhere with good results...

I tried a lot and nothing I found produced clouds. I feel I've said this before but finding another plant wih 20%+ reading content is difficult. Hops for exaple has around 1% lupilin (can't rememebr exactly what it's called) content.

Good luck searching, there may be a good one and I'd love to know but my searches didn't find anything.....yet.

I think that Sage (salvia officinalis) is not so common there over the ocean... Here in Europe, where the climate is tempered, is easy to grow a good quality Sage... and I can confirm that vaporized pure, It does produce a good (but maybe not that dense than the Holy Herb...) amount of vapor. Don't really know If you'll have the same results in buying it... you maybe need a good quality one, rich in essential oils.
Found a comment here on FC that mentions a "white Sage" that also works for that purpose. Here it is.

I did try sage and it didn't produce clouds for me, that said it may have been the type I was using or the way it was prepared or something. It was a Lond time ago. I'll be sure to give it another go!

I cannot post photos at the moment... But the mediterranean Sage I'm using, when fresh is very sticky... and when dried is still somewhat sticky and crushing it the result is fluffy... and has a very strong balsamic smell.
Can't say more than that... is the only herb I found so far that produces some satisfying vapor anyway... so I think that (and is the same with the Holy Herb) quality and so the oils content is the matter, yes.

edit-> I'm vaping it right now with a Pax2 around 190°C: if I sip (like a cigar) I got a big vapor production. If I rip, as I breathe out not that much vapor is visible... so as I said before, it's not so dense but hey... there's nothing like the Holy one..!

I was looking for this too but with a purpose of filling out when i go dry, Basically the situation is bad growing would result in losing liberty home and vapes so i have to rely on this unreliable person who often leaves me without anything and in pain for a week at a time.

I bank kief for this very reason, I grind the monthly 14 grams i need and if i run out i go for the kief in very tiny amounts due to tolerance. But it would be fantastic to fluff it up on something that added to the effect and produced tasty vapor.

I can only buy Herbs of the Gods can you buy this sage online? Obviously Ander is lucky as he lives in Spain i guess? Going by your name and Ander Herrera is my favourite player so im guessing this is why he has good sage? I am North of him on that grey island which has anything but a growing enviroment lol.

Well... not so lucky I guess... I live a little further east of Spain, in a desperate land where the Holy Herb is desecrated by the ignorance of politics and religion! But for the Sage yes... no problems...

SAGE VAPOR FINAL VERDICT
Guys, I got It! I'm a newbie vaper you know... here is all the story:

I got my Pax2 15 days ago. Always had some problems to spot clearly the vapor. Bad weather here, no sunshine. Until today. The sun rays are shining through my window. "So nice", I said "Let's celebrate with Vape!". So I took my MFG, crushed some Holy Herb, and I've set Pax2 temp in position 3 (the "greed" setting) and WOW... light was all I needed. Big, sweets vapor clouds started to dance softly in the air.
"Wait wait" I said, "let's try with Sage now! At 190°C." Well... got the same fantastic visual result, but the clouds are somewhat blue...
So guys, get some good sage... and go under the sun! Now I celebrate with a mixed one!

I have a year under my belt as regards to vaping and the temperature and light is pretty crucial to visable vapor Ander. When i started out i barely saw vapor until i cranked the heat up to 220c in my glass Herborizer. Your Pax seems to have a maximum of 420f 215c so i would personally want it around maximum to get full thick vapor.

You will see it better against some light yes, But trust me with high temps you will eventually see it even in poor light conditions. Also one last point with regards to temps and weather, When i use mine in cold weather it will drop the max temp and vapor it seems? I honestly think the added heat from the sun coming out could add a few more C on top and thus more vapor.

Certainly i never use mine in cold weather is possible unless it can compensate which few do? Thanks for the link also i will have to get some lemon balm and sage mixed.

As said in the Temperature controlled vaporizing, it's a "mistake" to judge the vapor experience by the visual effect... and I like mostly the mid-low temperatures, therefore the right light solves my "problem". Now that I've detected the vapor clearly, I simply know that it is always produced even if I can't see it... very important for me in this delicate moment...

Sure, but mine is not the case I guess... I made the "experiment" at sunset, in a warm room with closed windows.

Waiting for your feedback concerning the Sage guys! If the one you find around the web doesn't work... well... I'll send you mine!!!

Hey @rodders83 me again! If efficiency is an issue do you recycle your abv? You can make edibles and iso oil from it. Personally i don't bother but lots do with some great results. Also you could try cbd oils if/when your stash runs out.

Also i dont know what vapes you have? I saw you mention pax and herborizer .. i know these arent the most efficient vapes. Buying a super efficient one will help save herb consumption. My vapmans avg load is around 0.05g

I chuck it mate currently as it is ultra dark and i am only a year into vaping from a 15 year smoking habit. If i go low i normally spread kief on top and it gets baked even darker. And even though i guess i lift off more chemical at this high heat i still prefer this to the idea of using ISO 99%.

I have fussy eating habits so i dont think eating it is an option. So that is currently how i deal with things when i run out. Although i think some sage and others might also be a genuine option too until some quality CBD oil comes on the market. And i do not think CBD oil would be the most clean thing to put in my Herborizer. Those are my two vapes by the way Herbo XL and the Mighty so efficency is only an issue with the AVB.

@Ander I will let you know soon hopefully this week i can place an order with woodland herbs, Although i have a sneaky suspicion i will get my long awaited ounce tomorrow or Sunday. It has already been three god damm weeks of calls and delays hence the Sage ideas.
