Best strains for the blues

What strains do you guys like to lift up your mood? I like super lemon haze, jedi OG, lemon sour diesel, other citrusy strains, blue dream, usually hybrid or a bit on the sativa side.

What are some of your favorites? I would say by far super lemon haze is great for the blues for me. Oh yeah, for some reason BHO is better for having a case of the bummers for me than flower. No clue why.

Apologies if a thread for this has already been started. I tried the search function.

Jack is great. I like my jack but it isn't always the best for a bummer day for me. I have had two jack crosses which were some happy cannabis, Dutch Crunch (Dutch Treat X Jack) and Agent Orange. Actually quite a few jack crosses are mood brightening. But most jack makes me too analytical.

Headband is on my list. Last time I saw any was over 3 years ago and I did not try it. Lemon Skunk is definitely on my list but I don't know that I have ever seen it anywhere.

Oh yeah, I like NYC Diesel a lot too. Tastes insane with a vaporizer.

God's Gift strain, whenever I see it, I pick some up. An awesome strain for anxiety and depression.

A good hybrid that's sativa dominant will help. I like to take a sativa and mix it with a bit of indica for an uplifting high with a bit of body stone to keep me grounded. It helps me get in a better mood but it's important that I do something creative of productive to really solidify my mood.

As others have already posted, Super Silver Haze, Sour Diesel. I'll add a few more NYC Diesel, Mr. Nice, Dutch Treat, Mother's Finest, Cali-Orange.

I grew pineapple express 2 1/2 years ago that tastes like Lifesaver's Pineapple on exhale with a piney aftertaste and a Sativa buzz.
I grew a PE 1 year ago that is rather average with no particular taste or remarkable effect.
Last years PE (6 month variety) is Triffid like in stature, effect , taste and vapor production. It is as strong as Death Star. A very Indica presence.
Same dispensary, Clones one and all. HUGE variance.
So on topic a good strain for the blues may change over time....and change again.

I was just reading up about the terpene limonene (lemon flavors) in cannabis. The limonene is suppose to help boost your mood. That would be the citrus sativa strains. Jack Herrer, Pineapple Express and Lemon Haze were mentioned among others.

Rare as fuck because it gives a really uneventful clear headed high but I dont know what I would do if I would lose the mother plant that been keeping me sane for the last 2 years

if I need something stronger I turn to Jack Herer but that is basically one of c99 daughters ;)

Which of those mentioned don't sedate too much. I use herbs for sleep but I don't like to end up immobile.

All of those above I thing are sativa that give you energy and clear headed high for most parts, I personally use blueberry or other Afghani strains for my life long sleeping problem around ADHD and anxiety

Leafly.com is an awesome place to start strain hunting, dont take the information with 100% accuracy because what might be perfect for some is often a bit different for others

but keeping your medical around landracers is a good starting point as they are the least "inbreed" ones, though I heard that people with neurological pain often like hybrid more but I am not the one the say so hopefully you are in a legal state and can explore freely without have to grow every single plant up and test it yourself ..... *sigh*

blue dream for me, but cutting out wax helped my depression tremendously. concentrates are too strong for me to be responsible so now I just herbalize blue dream and other sativa hybrids during the day

Dunno what you can get... a Dj Short's blueberry straight up or crossed is nice. The guy has been breeding for a nice head for decades.

It comes down to what works for you. Cast a wide net.

Its hard to say because each strain will vary depending where you are located, which phenotype is chosen from that particular strain, who grew it , what was used, how it was dryed/cured etc..Alot of times people dont even know what they have exactly and just make up a name. One of my all time favourites was what the grower called Black Domina, I have since seen 3 different kinds that people claim is Black Domina but was nothing like this particular one that I was getting about 6-7 years ago.
