Mixing your herbs

Lately I've been trying to alternate my herb strains in order to decrease my tolerance . I am lucky enough to be able to get new strains each purchase even though I'm not in a legal area. I usually have three or four varieties to alternate between at the moment. even though they are different and most of them are hybrids I still mix them together sometimes to make a unique fruit salad of herb blends just for fun. Anyone else experimenting with this ? any thoughts on if alternating strains actually helps reduce tolerance, even if just towards that one strain.

I like to mix strains when a particular one is harsh. I use with a strain that has a nice flavor with one that doesn't have such a nice vapor taste.

I hate the taste of White Widow but it medicates so well. White Whidow with a Perma Frost tastes much better. Also I've been mixing it up with Strawberry Cough, it medicated well but it's too harsh for me so a bit of Blueberry and Kosher Kush made the perfect cannabis salad.

Almost there...
I love to blend my herbs!
What i don't use from one night will be stored and mixed with the first load the next night!
Sometimes i get awesome flavors going on and usually insane cloud production!

White Widow X Ak-47 is on the menu tonight @CarolKing !
Very sweet and fruity tasting in the Lotus!
And packs a serious punch!

EDIT:
Forgot about the tolerance part...LOL!
It most definitely helps to switch it up all the time!
My tolerance is low and i vape every day.
Two to four loads of 0,05g per night does me just fine.
I rotate about 4+ strains and each night i mix it up, never just one strain.
This could be the reason my tolerance is so low, hopefully!
I usually hit the Sativa hybrids when i get home and then later on hit the Indicas.
In between they get blended as well!
It's all on giant science experiment with absolutely zero log keeping!

i grew for quite awhile and changing genetics every day has kept me from having tolerance problems. i also do a 1/2 and 1/2 blend of different genetics to see if there is anything there. the high of the blend is often different and nice.

now that i'm a legal med card holder, i've been vaping more but it's not a tolerance thing, it's a kid in a candy store kind of thing. which genetic should i try today... such a problem to have. :)

I usually get a new strain every time I pick up for that exact reason, been smoking for years and my tolerance is still pretty good, A bowl is usually enough, though I do keep strong indicas on reserve and use them more sparingly as I need them when I get a pain flare up

"I want you to take the Frankenstein shit, the Deer shit, the Green Monster, the Bling and the Bling-Bling, and I want you to roll it all into one joint."

"No one's ever been brave enough to try that!"

"One man is. . .roll it!"

"I'll smoke it with you bro, we'll go to the looney bin together, I don't give a fuck!"

I've been doing that for a long time. Never been high enough to let a monkey drive though lol

When you buy a new strain you never know about the taste so mixing other strains with it might be essential in turning it into a better strain for you.

When I have a little bit left of a few strains I will mix them together to make a salad. Some strains really compliment each other.

Wasn't trying to lower my tolerance when i had 25 + plus strains all at once but was seeing if i could get higher It was really fun but my state just went legal and i wanted to try every strain there is you know how it goes lol . Well that and I was looking the strains i would be growing and breeding. What i was looking for was Taste first and foremost Second was the effects. With the limit of 4 to start i wanted 2 pure Sativa strains 1 Indica 1 hybrid. However i found two hybrids Golden Pineapple and Gorilla Glue #4
Both taste very nice for the Sativa And Indica There still up in the air a good kush maybe piney hard to find ones that taste good, for effects panama red (long lasting High) and green crack was a good eye opener for indica a good purple kush berry flavor still searching lol..

So did it work? yes indeed one can have a tolerance to strain? well maybe (and over time yes) however most times you will just peak you can get no higher change the strain and bamm you can feel it

I recommend at least one pure strain of both sativa and indica than a hybrid or two its nice to wake and bake but you don't want to pass out lol so sativa in the sunrise hybrid midday and indica for night :leaf: :)

Also I noticed The effects lasted longer with the pure sativa so if your trying to use less i would mix in some haze

The thing I hate most about living in a non legal country (except, you know, the risk of being arrested) is that 99% of the times I don't know what strain I get. Can't wait to taste the outcome of my first grow and start having different strains available.

This. It really sucks. I picked up THE BEST smelling strain I've ever encountered. It smells minty, and tangy/orangy/cheesy at the same time. I have no clue what strain it is. It has some purple in it.

Here's a pic

The only time I really mix is when I have some left in my grinder from before. That sounds like a good idea though. I think I will try it! I am always looking for "perfect" strains for situations, I bet I could mix strains and have more variety. Unless I have some cannabis that is drying out really fast, I use a different strain each time I have a vape session. never the same twice in a row for sure.

I understand you VERY VERY well. Good luck and don't give up!

mixing and alternating strains has been interesting . different flavors and slightly different effects when mixing is a fun experiment but now I'm trying to determine how long I need to use one strain before it looses it full potency, or how long I need to not use a strain for it to regain its full effect. I have 3 strains now that I alternate daily. I'm not sure if using each of them every third day is enough time between or maybe I should try using one at a time for a week or two.

when I vape at home I use a piece of paper to load the vape with. any left overs that don't fit that session goes in the tic tac container. when enough accumulates in the tic tac box or if away from home I then use that blend. it is always something different from varying strains

i do it two ways. i change genetics every day (3 is fine) to keep tolerance problems away. it works well for me. i also will vape one genetic in the morning and another after my nap. it depends on what genetics i have available.

I have 5 or 6 right now, also in a non legal area, and I don't always mix them, but I do on occasion. I very rarely am picking one nug of something, and another nug of something, but I do often leave half of one strain in the grinder and then grind up something else so it's a mix. I also have two Chicos filled with "salad" when I wanted to make my grinder pure again and dumped all the residual ground up buds in the Chicos. I dip into that pretty often :)

At night before bed I will mix two tinctures, High CBD Indica and high THC Indica.

After that, If it did not knock me out, I will vape the same combo.

Sometimes I will add some high THC tincture or herbs to my daytime "balanced" strain of 12% THC and 11% CBD. This addition seems to work better for my back pains.

Going to the dispensary tomorrow, going to get a sativa CBD strain for daytime use.

EDIT: just thought of something. Could a person who has tolerance issues to THC strain go on a T Break from THC and only use CBD strains for a day or two?

If that would work, would it work both ways (THC strain to lower CBD tolerance)?
