Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

Want to echo what @HellsWindStaff and @Cannabis Connoisseur have already said and put in a vote for the Turbine, if it's available! I have the Hydrabomb and the Turbine and while I really like them both, the Turbine is my personal fave :). Definitely agree with Hells about the Turbine being slightly better at preserving flavor. Really you can't go wrong with either though!

Flavour chassers, if any of you by any chance have the chance to buy a Swagger ShowerCap HT buy it right away. I bought the last one from them 3 months ago and it's my concentrates HT. It uses a ridiculous small amount of water and the flavor of the convection dabs is just awesome...

Not even with my quartz banger and cap can I have better flavours. I think I should order a couple Quartz nails in the future :science:

I LOVE my swagger showercap. I prefer my side circ for nail use just because it is zero drag but my showercap shines for flower flavors. And I can blow HUGE clouds with it.

I still have my vrip for the occasional flower bong snaps. I haven't bought a piece in over a decade and back then we were all just trying to figure out how to slit our downstems and domed percs (not even sure they were called domed percs back then, might have just been percs since that's all there was)!

The thing that's confusing me is the Honeycomb is for maximum diffusion (don't need that for concentrates), the Hydrabomb is for maximum flow (least diffusion?), and the Turbine is for maximum flavor (but not sure how this fits in between max diffusion <> least diffusion).

I'm about to buy a turbine based on the comments so far.

I definitely don't want thick, milky hits. That'll kill me.

So I just got my VapeXhale Hydrabomb on Saturday and it broke last night. It basically tipped on its side and the entire mouthpiece broke off at the joint. I e-mailed support. They originally said I should buy the warranty that covers damage.

The cost? $150. Insane. I e-mailed asking if they could do something, and they offered a 20% off coupon. I'm not stupid enough to spend good money after bad and pay $270 for a piece of glass that didn't even last a week.

I'm incredibly disappointed as to the quality of the glass. I've had $15 gas station glass that is more durable.

Glass is luck of the fall. You can't expect them to cover warranty on dropped glass especially when they offered you a warranty that covers damage.

Their warranty is the exact dollar-for-dollar price of the glass itself. How is that a warranty? Apple doesn't charge you $800 for iPhone Applecare.

Plus as I mentioned, this glass broke when tipped over. I've had glass for 35 bucks from DHGate that withstood 4 foot drops and this thing didn't survive 6 inches.

@zombied - that sucks...my condolences. I don't know of anyone who warranties glass against breaks. Did the mouthpiece break or the gong joint that sticks out of the Evo? I always seem to have bad luck with good glass as well. I have about five pieces that are cheap Chinese glass and have never broken, and have broken all of my nice pieces but two. One time I lifted my Cheap bubbler off the floor and it caught the mouthpiece of a hydratube on the way up and ripped the HT's mouthpiece off. Man was I pissed! That shitty $40 bubbler ruined my $250 HT!

The mouthpiece broke right at the joint.

My DHGate FC-UFO is so heavy duty I think I can beat someone up with it!

I kind of naturally assumed that $150 American glass would be WAYYYYYYYYY better than $35 Chinese glass, but nope! I want to support American small businesses and glass artisans, but they don't make it easy...

All these broken HT's...R.I.P. to them all. Making me want buy one of those hydrafoot stands. It would be amazing if they included those in every order.

Don't mean to be rude, and my condolences, but you have a skewed/unrealistic way of looking at this IMO.

They got you the glass there in one piece? It, wasn't broken out of box? But you want a refund or comped because it got knocked over?

Buddy, I wish every company would comp you for broken glass at cost but that is totally out of the ballpark. They were nice enough to offer you the extended warranty after you already broke it...it's not like you bought a vape and it didn't turn on they shipped you a working product, and through some actions out of their control, it broke.

"It basically tipped on its side"
Well, how? It didn't fall over on its own. Were you using a hydrafoot? Lots of questions regarding that. Surface it falls on matters. As does angle.

I'm willing to bet you my Evolver Hydratree that it didn't just magically tip over. Those sidecar pieces people set on tables all time with and without hydra feet. It sucks your new glass broke, but demanding a new piece when you accidentally break one just seems really unrealistic.

Looks like the newer batch of HT's that people were discussing a few weeks ago- If I recall correctly people were actually hoping not to receive this batch because it looks of lesser quality.

Not saying the glass is shit, but I don't think the price reductions and smaller HT's are a coincidence.

If I could get the money back for my HT I would. Its half the size even the barrel is at the bottom of the can, the flair of the mouthpiece is soo tiny I have to perch my lips to make a seal. Plus it has developed a crack on the inside making water drip in to the overflow chamber. It was my least used and most expensive piece of glass. I would gladly pay for an old school HT's- not these ones.

The Evo on the other hand is the best vaporizer I have ever used or owned.

I think it's a weakness of the sidecar design. They are attaching a round tube to a round tube. Seems the added melted glass to mate the two then becomes the weakness. I bet if you searched this whole thread for broken HTs the sidecar design will pop up the most. Even when swagger was making them. I never grab my side circ by the mouthpiece for just this reason. My other two with the neck out of the top I don't even think twice about it.
I personally will not buy anymore HTs from VXL until they get rid of the sidecar HTs. The neck is not long enough to see the watershow anyway without going crosseyed and the breakage factor is too high. :2c:

That looks repairable by a local glass artist.
AS you know I hold the unoffical record for breaking the most water pipes and GonG's. I know the feeling. I will never buy a vaporizer that requires a breakable GonG. That is why I bought a EVO today. Plus rumor has it that the flavor profile is all time!

Will a standard water pipe work with some silicone tubing?

Can you turn it up side down?

I hooked up my old VAP2 to my FC UFO and it worked fine?

I hope I will have fun with the EVO.

It's on my bucket list so I'll check it off when it get's here!

I used the Stickstone code and it worked!

This happened yesterday morning when I accidently tipped my HT onto its side from a flat surface into the same flat surface (floor).

Kinda pissed off that the joint was so damn weak. The mouthpiece didn't even hit anything, just broke itself off with its own weight.

Gonna try to get a silicon O-ring and try ti use this mouth piece as a dry mouth piece til i get the money to fix/replace it.

Edit: Eh, found a local guy who said he'll fix it for $60. Gonna try that and see what happens.

I assist new medical vapers here, mostly vets/seniors/families get started so always looking for any cheap but functional alternatives.
I have bought some broken glass bubblers and hydratubes to give to them so had investigated glass artists locally that did repair work. They tended to be about $75 to repair a broken mouthpiece BUT they advised that a piece can crack when attempting a repair and it's cash upfront, tough nuggies if it breaks. And no guarantee on cosmetics, that it might look fixed...

So, I've resorted to cobby silicone fix attempts to get pieces functional. Sometimes it works but sometimes not. After buying a broken piece, the glass artist route was too expensive to give away to newbies.

EDIT: lotta broken glass on here :(
@Ratchett , could you do a hydrafoot stand?? I don't think you have one now...
Maybe prevent some accidents

an option is that you can try a DIY fix

As the old adage: Sa La Vie!

Glass breaks!
Move on!

Whoever comes out with non breakable water paths will kill it $ wise!

Glass is lame for endurance!

The first run of Magic Flight Orbiters actually offered a lifetime warranty on those. Not sure how/why they offered that and will pull it off.
