Do you vape until vapor production stop?

BabyFacedFinster

Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.
I use a small amount in a nano bowl usually. I hit it 4 times per bowl. Two hits before stirring and two hits after. I can't be bothered beyond that because the small amounts aren't worth the trouble. I'd rather repack and get some solid hits.

Now if it was 30 years ago when scoring a bag was not always easy, I'd probably squeeze every last bit out. Lest you'd be jonesen.

can someone tell me why we shouldn't vape until the vape stops?

I don't think anyone here is saying that you "Shouldn't". It's up to you in the long run.

I don't save my AVB as to me it's just compost/trash so I take it as far as I can although I often stop vaping before ALL vapor stops being produced and since i prefer high temps I stop when I start feeling like coughing after every hit and/or the taste is not to my liking. Like @lwien I find when I get to this point the AVB is at least coffee brown.

No real hard and fast rules when it comes to vaping our favorite Herb, Do what's best for you and you alone and Enjoy.

Is there still thc or what ever even in weak vapor? As long as vaper comes out, its going to get me higher?

For me a lot of it is just what vape I'm using at the time. On my volcano I load thin loads, vape two bags at low temps, and save fairly potent abv. On both my ssv and enano, (both convection btw) I quit when the flavor goes. The abv is mid brown. On my mighty, fairly frequently I quit because I'm too messed up. Ussually I dump the shortened load as abv. But at other times I ride the mighty to the max temp. When I see dark brown abv from any of my vapes, I just toss it. If its lighter I save it for extracting.

can someone tell me why we shouldnt vape until the vape stops?

arent we still getting the effects of TCH (or what ever other thing) with each vape as long as vape is being released?

Its like asking someone if they drink their entire beer or leave the backwash.
Did you read the post directly above yours? Doesn't seem like it since he addressed your question directly before you asked it.

Yeah I read his opinion on micro-dosing and his theory that its all THC gone after 4 hits.

maybe he just has bad bud though, to many variables to say either way

well, my point about micro-dosing was that it makes it much easier to see when the herb is depleted - sorry if that wasn't stated clearly. my other point is that the vapor at the end isn't psychoactive - or at least i don't get high on plant waxes ... and given how often i vape, the less hot air i suck the better.

i pretty much always go until i can't see anymore vapor, unless i have some thing "i just wanna get a little high" for, then i might finish the bowl later. sometimes i go for minutes after the vapor is no longer visual because i either space out or want to get every little bit i can. my abv still makes for some heavy duty butter, tho probably not as heady as if it were only lightly vaped.

I vape vape vape, go extra long, just to make sure I got the max amount of goodies. But with my miniVAP and Herbalizer, even at 440 F for extra draws, there is no burnt popcorn degradation of taste. IF my vape gave a poor taste by going too long, I wouldn't do it.

And "visible vapor" is a tricky thing. I do very small loads and even when it APPEARS there is NO VAPOR under normal exhales, when I blow that exhale over a CFL lamp, it can show BIG VAPOR. Without a light it is easy to look like no vapor , when there may be a lot.

The color of ABV and the number of hits I get depends on the grade of material I'm vaping..
I prefer a quick extraction so 3-5 big hits and I generally consider it spent.

I find with good quality bud it will vape a lot longer and end up at a coffee brown/black color. Vaping leaf, trim, and shake gives 2 maybe 3 hits before giving no visible vapor. I also can't get the ABV past a golden-green color.

Like other people here, I usually hit the "saturation point" where vaping isn't giving any more (noticeable) effects after a bowl or two.

With my portables (firewood 3.0 and Hammer to be exact), I vape it till its a decent color brown. I'm still getting vapor but I usually dump it. Now that I have an E-Nano, I'll go until the vapor is very wispy. Then its to the ABV jar.

I have run into a interesting situation with my mighty vaporizer.

Lately the batches I have gotten have been dense sticky buds. I grind them and vape them at 180c.

But then towards the end I notice I am getting bigger and bigger clouds and I wonder how this can be? The clouds get harsher and I cought alot.

has this ever happen to anyone?

Your cooling unit may need to be cleaned. I remember when I first got my Crafty I had some sessions that seemed to never end. Turned out it was vaporizing some of the reclaim in the cooling unit.

yeah I just checked and it does need to be cleaned. But does it really?

for example, there is like resin and stuff in there.

I use to take that resin and put it on a cig and smoke it when i smoked cigs.

To clean my mighty I just leave the cooling unit in ISO alcohol then the next day the alcohol is yellowish from the resin coming off. Its a very nice way to clean the mighty. But maybe I should just keep it in there for extra flavor? Or will it damage it in the long run

I finish vaping when I get the burnt popcorn taste or smell. I also tend to see more white, dense, vapor, that tells me I'm close to finished. If I'm not getting the burnt popcorn taste, I average how many hits I've taken that I usually take. If I'm at a [10], I'd give it a few more hits, and save the AVB.

I have to budget myself so I vape at 420F max and I continue until the vapor is done in most situations. Every once in a while (like now, actually) I will get some herb that seems to produce vapor longer, but after a certain point I feel like I'm not actually getting any effect from it, and I do just go ahead and trash that.

There's a point of diminishing returns where you're just going to be irritating your throat more than you're getting vapour. There's some vapour to be had from ABV, and the taste will actually improve if you let the material cool before raising the temperature to around 430-445. At that temp you'll be getting a more sleepy blend of vapour and its THC content is sharply diminished.

The diminishing taste is my signal to dump my Herbalizer chamber out. Typically the ABV is medium brown at 390, though sometimes I'll toast a bowl at 430-440 if I really want the full "picture" of the bud.

If you could save up all that backwash and combine it for desperate times would you? ABV still has a lot of good stuff in it as long as you don't vape at temps over 360F. Even at 390 you're still going to have some cannabinoids left over, though it won't smell as nice as lower temp ABV.

Yeah I basically always vape until I don't get any vapor. Some people like to save some active ingredients in the material for making edibles however.
